A unique business model Gary Ashburn Media Limited offers a unique business model capable of producing specialised programmes that simultaneously educate, entertain, sell collectibles and enable the sale of context-linked branded merchandise. Our business model Entertainment We produce programmes on any subject possessing a loyal following who passionately collects items linked to the programme subject. We also identify the celebrities or well-known people linked to the subject matter that can be invited into the studio, or be filmed talking with us about the collectible items presented during the course of each programme. We endeavour to pack a half or full-hour programme with facts and anecdotes. We believe that celebrities discussing the collectibles shown during the show supports the authenticity and provenance of items. Our deep network allows us to call upon a large pool of celebrities from key areas such as TV & Film, Soccer, Sports and Music.
Our network of Collectibles suppliers Presenting collectibles carries two key risks: authenticity and ensuring a wide variety in terms of quality and price. A successful collector also relies on the ability to inspire the viewer to buy, whether of modest means or wealthy. We address both these challenges by constructing a balanced portfolio for each show whose origin and authenticity is guaranteed. Merchandising and Limited Editions Merchandise and limited editions create high sales volume. We utilise the presence of celebrities in our shows and the history surrounding each collectible item to give value to the merchandise sold on our programmes. This model has proven highly successful and is applicable to many different sectors.

Integrated entertainment and sales We generate added value by increasing the number of channels capable of boosting revenue to programme distribution and provide a distinct character to each sales channel thus achieving sustained interest. Our programmes possess a modular structure in order to meet the requirements of a flexible production schedule as well as to allow for the insertion of sales or promotion slots. Our shows are designed for easy re-edits enabling multiple purpose usage, such as slotting in interviews into other programmes or 1 to 5 minute slices as fillers to be sold separately. By doing this we achieve several key commercial objectives. Revenues from primary distribution: we ensure a good balance between entertainment and sales, thus providing value for the viewer and by extension a commercial value for the show. Web-based sales: online shops dedicated to the show including set-up and coordination. Platform coordination: we coordinate of multiple integrated sales platforms with the contents of the programme. .
Secondary distribution income: is generated from repeat viewings, resale of the programme in whole or in part, voice-over translated versions for wider distribution, etc. On-air auction revenue: besides enticing a massive audience involvement, the on-air auction revenue on high-end collectible items is often a huge money earner Online auctions and bidding: parallel bidding system supporting the on-air auction. The webbased system also widens the scope of items for sale. Call centres: Important sales channel especially for those buyers that do not like to buy online.

Involving charities creates win-win situations We always advise in giving back income percentage to worthy charitable causes. Often, the celebrities that we involve in our shows are sensitive to good causes and welcome the opportunity to share in charitable activities. I have been involved with charitable causes for most of my professional life. I believe that using a mediatised event to create or augment awareness of a worthy cause is the right thing to do. It so happens that the goodwill factor so important in getting a show of the ground and is often facilitated by an involvement or promotion of a charitable cause. Celebrities on the whole are usually active in this space and will consider favourably any genuine endeavour to help raise funds for a worthy cause. I have organised and hosted numerous high profile charity auctions and events both with globally known charities and also some smaller specialist charities. We focus on non-political and/or non-controversial charitable organisations in order to ensure that the entertainment value of the programme is never challenged.
