Warm Wishes for a

wonderful

Holiday Season This is the time of year when we gather to celebrate the holiday season and share family traditions. For my family that means holiday baking. As a child, I spent many wonderful hours baking holiday cookies with my mother and grandmother. Now I share that same happy tradition with my daughters. And when I think about family traditions, I think of all you’ve done to help people across our great country celebrate their own traditions. You’ve shared our mission with millions of customers, and in the process you’ve helped many families to gather around the table. Thank you for all that you do every day and for being part of our Pampered Chef® family. As you gather with your own families, know that I wish you a most wonderful holiday season!

Opportunity Knocks (and Rocks)

in December!

Susan Summerton is glad she said “yes” when The Pampered Chef® opportunity came knocking in December 2009. It was the start of a rockin’ business! Why did you start your Pampered Chef® business?

What did the New Consultant Rewards Program extension do for your business?

I had a stressful job and needed a change. Pampered Chef® looked so fun and easy. And since I love to cook, it was everything I wanted! I signed my agreement on Dec. 1.

Having that extra 30 days meant I was able to earn even more Pampered Chef® dollars! I used the 900 Pampered Chef® dollars I received to get extra catalogs, which I handed out to everyone who might be interested in hosting a Show or placing an order. I also added some items to my New Consultant Kit. When people see and use the products, they’re more likely to buy.

I looked into several direct-selling Consultant companies, and I chose Pampered Susan Summerton, Idaho Chef® because of the great products. Cooking isn’t a fad like jewelry or candles; people will use our kitchen tools for years.

How did you book your first Shows? Starting in December was a big plus! People were still buying holiday gifts and items they wanted for their own holiday cooking and entertaining.

6

What difference has your Pampered Chef® business made for you? It’s been a real positive. The income from my Pampered Chef® business gave me the freedom to quit my stressful full-time job and find one I like much better. The Pampered Chef® helped me take control and find a happier, healthier life.

My first two Shows were hosted by friends, and I got a third booking at my Grand Opening Show. I had three Shows in three days! Being so new, I was nervous about booking in close, but it was easy. I had almost $2,000 in sales in December!

December is a great time to offer the opportunity! Holiday sales give December recruits a head start on their new year business! PLUS, Consultants who join this month have 30 extra days to earn Pampered Chef® dollars as a part of the New Consultant Rewards Program extension.

I got four January bookings from my December Shows. I was off and running!

Share The Pampered Chef® opportunity with someone today!

Heather Shouse follows up every voice message she leaves with an e-mail. This simple step is adding Shows to her calendar!

Advanced Director Heather Shouse, Illinois

“I always make customer care calls. When I get voice mail, I leave a friendly message. Recently, I started sending e-mails as well. In two months, this added seven Shows to my calendar!

terrific time to have a Show, and our Host Special is incredible! I still have a few dates open. Can I save one for you?’ Then I follow that e-mail up with another phone call.

“The voice message I leave is something like this: ‘I’m sorry I missed you. I wanted to see how you were enjoying your products. I’ll send you an e-mail with our upcoming specials. I’d love to work with you again! I’ll try calling you again later.’

“The secret is making it easy for customers to schedule a Show. One of my contacts was so glad I sent the e-mail, too. She wanted to book a Show, but hadn’t had the chance to call me back. She had her date already picked out!”

“Then I immediately send this e-mail: ‘I wanted to see if you had any questions about your products. I’ll call you soon. Or drop me a line to let me know when is the best time for us to talk. December is a

Follow up your voice mail messages with e-mails and, like Heather, you’ll be adding Shows to your calendar.

Think BIG! Michele Robinson uses the Booking Slide and sets Host Reward expectations high. And it works! She is averaging two bookings per Show. “When I talk about Host Rewards at my Shows, I set the bar high because there’s no reason hosts can’t have a $1,000 Show.

Team Leader Michele Robinson, Arizona

“I bring out the Booking Slide at the end of my Show. I say, ‘If you have a $1,000 Show, it’s like getting a $215 shopping spree. You can go through the catalog and get anything you want. Who wouldn’t want that?’ “When you explain the Host Rewards like that, it paints a clear picture for the guests. I can see their eyes light up, and people who were unsure about hosting a Show are eager to book.

“The Booking Slide has been a part of my Shows since I started my business in May, and I wouldn’t do a Show without it!”

The Booking and Recruiting Slide is available on the supply order form (#JN42, English; #JP75 Spanish — $15). It’s also included in a new Consultant’s value-priced Business Building Package.

to talk with you about it. Can we set a time for us to talk more?’ She signed her New Consultant Agreement a couple of weeks later!

“For instance, I met one new Consultant at a community festival. I commented on her beautiful baby, and then asked, “Are you a stay-at-home mom?’ She answered that she would like to be, but that she had to work outside the home because she needed the income.

“Just by having a conversation, I’ve met recruits at the hair salon, the grocery store and my kids’ gymnastic class. Wherever you go, there are people who need the opportunity!”

“I responded, ‘I’m so lucky! My Pampered Chef® business is so flexible, I’m able to be at home with my five children and still have an income. I’d love
