Limited mode of evacuation, delay of logistical daily needs, reluctance of resident relocated are the main problem when people should be relocated. This becomes the problem of Merapi Eruption a few years ago. Merapi Eruption, as we know, was a repeated volcanic disaster. Merapi area is not suitable to be left. But the faith of local resident to return to their area are the important reason for the House of Evacuation idea. EVACUATION HOUSE is a dwelling escape concept to evacuate for a while to the safe zone. The resident can take all of their entire home, survive at the evacuation area and become their place when the disaster was over.

Interactive community center riverbank is a synergy of local community of farmers and fishermen to be responsible in mengembalkikan the original function of the river 'green belt'. There are problems faced along the River Tallo is that the growth of the fishing village that is organic and rundown, the loss of function of green belt (mangroves), the river ecosystem Tallo unbalanced due to industrial waste pollution during the period of last 15 years, and the erosion of riverbanks (river shaped meander / winding). With the green belt in the form of a revival of mangrove forests integrated with the local township occupancy, these problems can be overcome. The linkage of human inter-universe the longer it will be a sustainable community (continuous) to the balance of nature. GREEN BELT COMMUNITY RESTORATION is a synergy of local community of farmers and fishermen to be responsible in mengembalkikan the original function of the river 'green belt'. The realization of this design is expected to become the motor / sort of prototype rejuvenation green belt along the river banks Tallo River and the rivers that run into a similar problem.

08 CORAL REEF REJUVENATION “regenerating life Typology: Commercials ,Public Research Location: Sumenep Regency, Madura, East Java Status: Merit Award Team: -Andreas Kurniyantoro -Theodorus Alryano D. -Waya Theresia U. Organizer: Futurac Prize 2015 Building Height modular-single storey height Judges: -Nirmal Kishani (Singapore), PhD - Sanjay Prakash (India) B. Arch AIIA -Tan Pei Ing Ada Fung (Hongkong) - Prof. Donald Leslie B. (Australia)

Indonesia is world's biggest maritime nation with 17.504 islands and 60 million residents who rely on marine resources. Indonesia owns coral reef resources reaching up to 50.875 km2 equivalent to 18% of world's coral reef. However, only 5.3% of those coral reefs are in good condition. The severest coral reef damage occurring in Indonesia lies in the Regency of Sumenep. The Southern Waters of Sumenep regency possess more variety of coral reef compared to its Northern counterpart. Talango, whose main commodity is seaweed, is one subdistrict island in Sumenep's southern waters with high variety of coral reefs. However, the varieties in this sub-district are in very bad condition. This location is chosen as Marine Conservation Area to preserve coral reef for natural balance and as local resident's source of living. The offered solution coming from our concern on coral reef problem covers damaged coral reef regeneration by using biorock, biofilter for polluted marine areas by using seaweed, and coral reef education. The design collaborates coral reef education with the coral reef revitalization process. Education process is limited to witnessing coral reef by using visual presentation. Biorock can promote coral reef growth rate up to five times more efficient compared to coral reefs' self .

OUR IDEA 20 YEARS LATER

In this year coral reef recovers and marine life grows. We hope that coral reef’s education process can be success.

According to our vision, in this year, the coral reef ecosystem starts to recover. The function of coral reef as the marine habitat is already definited. We guarantee better life quality for seashore society.
