Design for Resources

Design solutions for informed material selection and healthy design to minimize any possible negative impacts on the environment. This projects demonstrates this measure by reusing an existing structure and using recycled materials. The main recycled material used in the project was recycled wood pallets. Another strategy to minimize materials in the space was to make the space easily repurposed.

Design for Ecosystems

Design solutions that benefit nature while also helping the buildings occupants. Drought friendly plants with be placed on the plant wall in the reception as well as the planters in the lobby. Daylighting changes intensity throughout the day creating shadows and conditions that occur in nature.
