Global Study Study Abroad & Study USA

Study off campus and your worldview will change forever. Elon’s 100+ programs are your passport to immersive experiences in international culture and will prepare you for a lifetime of global understanding and exploration. Closer to home, Elon’s Study USA program offers summer, semester and Winter Term programs for students to explore diversity of culture, geography and climate in the United States.

The choice is yours: Study for a Winter Term, semester, summer, an academic year or longer Elon offers innovative programs during Winter Term, the most popular time to study abroad. These intensive January courses are taught by Elon faculty. Programs vary in cost and include international airfare; all accommodations and transportation abroad; and entrance fees for museums, cultural sites and events related to the course. And there’s no need to wait – students are eligible to participate in Winter Term programs their first year at Elon. A hallmark of the university’s strategic plan, The Elon Commitment, is a goal to provide 100 percent access to global study and pursue additional scholarship opportunities to make a global experience reality for all students. “I wanted my time abroad to be an experience I would likely not be able to replicate outside of college. Semester at Sea was perfect -- when else will I have the chance to circumnavigate the globe? I traveled to 13 countries in three and a half months and while I was abroad I thought about what a great conversation starter this would be in professional situations. I’m working for SAP, and during my interview it was incredibly helpful to speak to lessons learned abroad about cultural diversity and my ability to quickly adapt to new situations.”
