Miiverse™ is an online gaming community that uses Mii™ characters to connect people from all over the world. Using Miiverse, you can share your game play experiences and other interests with fellow players.

NOTE: A broadband wireless network connection is required to use Miiverse. See page 44 for more information on setting up a connection.

Tap on the HOME menu to launch Miiverse. • You will need a Nintendo Network ID to write or post comments on Miiverse (see page 43). • On Nintendo 3DS game titles, you will be able to suspend play to check the Miiverse community, or post comments on Miiverse.

You can press the HOME button to suspend play and start Miiverse from the HOME Menu. NOTE: Some games may not give access to Miiverse during play.

Miiverse communities that are specific to individual software titles let you exchange information about your favorite games and check out what others are saying about games you are interested in. You can read other people’s posts, write about the games you are playing, post comments, and show support by giving others’ post a “Yeah!”.

Please see the electronic instruction manual for detailed information about how to use Miiverse.

To open the electronic instruction manual, select your Mii character from the menu bar displayed at the bottom of the lower screen in Miiverse, then tap Settings/Other, and then tap Manual. NOTE: If you have not yet linked a Nintendo Network ID to your system, please tap Manual at the bottom of the Miiverse screen.

Precautions regarding the use of Miiverse

In Miiverse, your comments and profile may be seen by many people. Please do not post personal information (such as last name, birth date, age, school, e-mail, or home address) that may allow strangers to identify individuals, or use language that may be offensive to others. For details, please see the Miiverse Code of Conduct (https://miiverse.nintendo.net/guide/). IMPORTANT: The use of Miiverse can be restricted with Parental Controls. See page 50 for more information on using this feature.

With only a single copy of a Download Play-compatible software title, you can play multiplayer games with other players using systems in the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DS family. NOTE: Nintendo 3DS Download Play software is only compatible with systems in the Nintendo 3DS family.

NOTE: Nintendo DS/Nintendo DSi titles are stretched to fit the Nintendo 2DS screen. To display the game at the original screen size ratio, hold down START or SELECT while tapping Start on the Host system and on the Client system. 2 Tap to receive Nintendo 3DS software, or tap to receive

Nintendo DS or
