Charisse Pearlina Weston is a Houston-based artist and writer and was a resident during the 2016 Southern Constellations Fellowship at Elsewhere. The single edition poetry book entitled 'The Unpossessed’ was written, compiled and bound by Weston. The collection of poems meditates on the value, power, representation, and elusiveness of black bodies, both absent and present, as they reside within current political and social unrest in the United States.
