Fruit and Orange Juicers - Why You Should Have One? By Art Khan
So every time we go out and get a fruit juice or smoothie, we end up spending a lot of money, for fresh fruit juices it's even more. Where I live, I at least have to pay $3.00 or more to get a cup of juice that I like. If you drink juice often, just do the math and figure out how much you spend buying fruit juices and smoothies from shops every month. I like drinking juices, not only because its good for my health but also because I like the taste of it. When I was growing up, I did not really like juices that much. Mainly, I think, because when you are a kid, you don't really like something that's good for you. So of course, I rejected the idea of a healthy drinks. But as I grew up, I got into drinking juices. At my parents house, they mostly made fresh juices. They had an electric fruit juicer and a manual orange juicer, of course the manual one took a bit longer. So when I first started going to college, I did not want to put a whole lot of effort into juicing. I took the short and easy way out and started buying packaged juices. Don't get me wrong, they are good and initially I did not mind it because it was something different, but later on I just could not drink them any more. Then I got tired of the packaged juices and started buying fresh juices from the juice shops. It seemed like a good idea for a while because it was fresh, tasted good and seemed justified because it was for my health. But just imagine, as a student paying for a glass of fresh juice everyday will cost you a lot. Let's assume 3 dollars a glass times 30 days equals to 90 dollars per month. That's a lot of money for a starving college student. You are probably thinking, if I like fresh juices so much, why didn't I buy a fruit juicer? Well, you are right, I should have bought one a long time ago, and I would have saved a lot of money over time. But just the thought of making a fresh juice seemed like a lot of work, so I pondered with the idea of buying a fruit juicer now and then but always backed out. Also, as a student, I was always scared to spend something over $100 dollars. So I was not able to make myself spend that much money altogether on a fruit juicer. Even in the long run I spent a lot more But after I graduated from college, I finally invested in a nice fruit juicer which lasted me a long time. It did take me a while to get into the habit of juicing regularly. Because lets be realistic, cleaning a fruit juicer is not that quick and easy. But if you think about the savings overtime and the quality of the juices, that effort is well worth it. So, if you drink juice and don't have a fruit juicer yet, you should go get one.
