Cedar Creek Lake
Cedar Creek Lake is located in Henderson and Kaufman Counties in North Texas about 60 miles southeast of Dallas/Fort Worth area. This scenic lake spans over 18 miles long with over 320 miles of beautiful shoreline. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department maintains the lake’s three islands which total 160 acres of land which serves as a Wildlife Management Area for aquatic birds. Cedar Creek Lake is owned by the Tarrant Regional Water District, and supplies water to several cities including Fort Worth, Texas.
Cedar Creek Lake fisherman will enjoy the many fish species including Blue catfish, Channel catfish, Flathead catfish, Largemouth bass, White bass, Hybrid striped bass, and Crappie. Typically the optimal fishing locations for Largemouth bass are in the the southern part of the lake because of the clear water, coves, and inlets. Cedar Creek Lake has several marinas and boat rental opportunities. The lake features campgrounds and RV parks for weekenders.
