Media Kit 2014 Houston Miami Broward Orlando Venezuela Costa Rica PanamĂĄ Colombia RepĂşblica Dominicana
About Us For two decades, EL VENEZOLANO has led the segment of free community publications in South Florida to position itself as a growing group dedicated to informing the Venezuelan community outside their homeland. It is considered the dean of Venezuelan journalism in America, has received the highest award given to a printed publication- the National Journalism Award- and is an active member of the NAHP, SIP and AHAA. Since 2003, due to the migration of Venezuelans to other cities and countries EL VENEZOLANO expanded operations with publications in Broward, Orlando, Houston, Panama, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Colombia. The greater Houston area, constituted by Houston and its neighboring cities, is considered a diverse and international city, as well as one of the most important cities in the U.S. Houston’s economy is based on different sectors such as energy, oil, real state, health, agriculture and livestock, gastronomy, culture and technology among many others, and its population honors these qualities for it is a multicultural population with a unique but diverse lifestyle. From this premise and based on research, we can say that the Venezuelan and Latin-American population arriving in Houston is a group of professionals who have been either transferred by the oil industry or are arriving in Houston to invest and do business; they have purchasing power and love the good life. At El Venezolano de Houston Newspaper, we are committed to serving that group of immigrants and we have become their point of reference since our content not only keeps them up to date with local news and social events of high profile, but also offers a calendar of events and keeps them informed on what’s happening in their countries of origin.
