A Vertical Multi-Use Memorial Complex in Quezon City, Elevating Cemetery and Funeral Architecture into a Therapeutic Built Landscape Through Placemaking
Project Type:
Proposed Location:
Project Size: Vertical Cemetery Matandang Balara, Quezon City 2.9 Hectares
A final thesis approved by the college. The term “Neo-Necropolis” was derived from the words “Neo,” meaning new, and “Necropolis,” an ancient Greek term for cemeteries. The project was undertaken due to the evident problem in the design of cemeteries, particularly public ones. Unlike their historical counterparts, which were regarded as cities for the dead, contemporary cemeteries are often treated merely as landfills for bodies.
This project earned the Top 7 spot for the Best in Thesis for the class BSARCH 5-1 for the last semester.

CENTERRA HUB
a Proposed Multi-Modal Transport Development Center in Baguio City Diverging Urban Congestion Through Mutualistic Architecture
Project Type:
Proposed Location:
Project Size: Cultural Center Brgy. Irisan, Baguio City 10.24 Hectares
The project seeks to celebrate the culture, traditions, and values of Baguio City. Renowned as a popular tourist destination in the Philippines, Baguio is known for its rich cultural heritage. The project’s designers aim to both preserve Baguio’s natural resources and offer a modern yet culturally resonant experience for visitors.
This initiative is part of a broader development effort, focusing specifically on the cultural zone. This zone will feature three key structures: a cultural center designed to highlight three of the city’s major crafts—woodwork, pottery, and weaving. These structures will function not only as museums but also as workshops for these traditional crafts.

The landscaping design employs a biomimetic approach inspired by the pinecone, reflecting the city’s nickname, “City of Pines.” The intertwining pathways are designed to enhance the pedestrian experience, offering stunning views of the three museums.

Nuilding Human-Centered Comprehensive Housing Development Through Responsive Neotraditional Urban Planning in Batangas City
Project Type: Proposed Location: Project Size:
Mid-Rise Condominium Brgy. Libjo, Baguio City 215.13 Hectares
Kahanggan is a collaborative effort for the Architectural Design 7 course, aimed at developing a housing project in Brgy. Libjo, Batangas City. The site is predominantly inhabited by a seafarer community, and the project is designed to be inclusive of this demographic by proposing floating houses.
The initiative focuses on economic housing to accommodate hundreds of families in Batangas City, addressing the growing population and the resulting congestion. The goal is to create a vibrant community where families can thrive, offering security, comfort, convenience, and a healthy living environment.
Modular architecture is adapted in the design of the mid0rise condominium through customizable modular pods that are stacked upon another to create a four-level housing structure. This is to ensure the maximum potential of the facility through cost-efficiency and sustanability. The modules are supported by 25 mega columns. The units are then transfered through a tower crane, then is connected to the mega columns.

SUNTUARIO
LAGUNA HILLS
The project involved designing a Balinese-inspired bungalow featuring a pool. The team was responsible for creating detailed plans and a 3D model of its exterior. Key restrictions included preserving existing vegetation, such as the trees on the site. Despite these limitations, the team effectively turned this constraint into an opportunity, incorporating the natural elements into the design to create a compelling feature of the resort. The plans manifested a fresh tropical bungalow that emulates the feeling of vacation in the comfort of your own home.
