ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 02
Aims: This course
aims to introduce students to elements and
principles of architectural design.
objectives:
- Learn basic architectural vocabulary and language. - Represent the space/volume by using the appropriate tools and materials. - Understand basic concepts and principles of Interrelationship between form space and function. - Design small scale project and manipulate space and function relationships. The Project: Small Office/Home Office Design (SOHO) The modern concept of SOHO refers to the category of business for 1 to 10 workers. SOHO has gone through a great transformation since technology enabled everyone working from home to compete globally. Technology has made this possible through webinar systems and telephone connections such as Skype and the like. The students were requested to design SOHO building that gathers different living, working, and entertainment environments within one volume.

RECREATIONAL CENTRE MODELS
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 03
Aims: familiarize students with relatively complex design problems of single use architectural projects. objectives:
- Manipulate issues concerning conceptualization and creativity. - Deal with large span space/volume in terms of relevant structural system(s) and technology. - Explore different spatial organization of space/volume, and form/function interaction in response to a fairly complex context. The Project: Recreactional
centre: since a recreation building reflects the unique needs of a neighborhood or community, the planning and de sign of a recreation building demand a precise and logical approach. The students were asked to design a recreation center that contains so many activities.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 04
Aims:
familiarize students with relatively complex design problems of multiple function architectural projects. objectives:
- Manipulate issues concerning conceptualization and creativity. - Deal with large span space/volume in terms of relevant structural system(s) and technology. - Explore different spatial organization of space/volume, and form/function interaction in response to a fairly complex context. The Project: Elementary
school: the students were requested to design an elementary school from grades 1 to 5. it consisted of 10 class rooms (two for each grade), with 25 students per class room. the system adopted was specified classrooms for each grade. it was required to make a creative design for a school taking into consideration local requirements and standards.
