If there's one thing we believe in, it's the hardworking people — the makers, doers, and builders of today. In both good times and tough times, they show us what’s truly worth working for to build a better future.
As we continue to be inspired by these workers, we also recognize that hard work deserves a break. Walking the dog, spending time with friends, or firing up the BBQ — these are the moments we design our clothing for as well.
For Fall 2025, we have some new products that demonstrate just how versatile our gear is — keeping you comfortable 24/7, both on and off the job. An extended offer in Force™ items, new certified bottoms and on top we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of our active jack. Another exciting season is ahead of us!
Thank you for all you do for Carhartt.
Stay well, keep busy,
Albert Foppen Vice President EMEA/PAC

SHELL FABRIC
ALL OUR DUCKS, IN A ROW
Brown duck was the genius creation of Hamilton Carhartt. His brown duck bib overalls for railroad workers revolutionized clothing for the working class. These overalls were first recorded in a 1915 newspaper article that described the new “wonderful brown Carhartt’s.” This brown duck bib is still in the Carhartt stable and remains as popular as it was when originally introduced. Hamilton Carhartt’s brown duck serves as a reminder that great quality never goes out of fashion. Today, we’ve increased our duck line across the board for men’s, women’s and accessories and color, to the advanced technologies and finishes used to fortify the garment, there’s a hardworking duck fabric for every task.
WHAT IS DUCK FABRIC?
Since the introduction of our original brown duck in 1915, Carhartt has developed 8 different variations of our famously durable workwear fabric — currently in use in over 200 rugged Carhartt products. With distinctive properties ranging from fabric strength, weight, rigidity, and color, to the advanced technologies and finishes used to fortify the garment, there’s a hardworking duck fabric for every task. Learn more about our different duck types below.
LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR DIFFERENT DUCK TYPES BELOW.
FIRM DUCK
Our strongest cotton duck is the most long-lasting canvas out there. Built with added toughness, firm duck is water-repellent, wind resistant, and rugged. If you like to break in your jackets and pants, firm duck is for you.
DUCK
Good ‘ol duck is stiff, ring-spun cotton. If you like your Carhartt solid, classic and durable as the day is long, this is the duck for you.
WASHED DUCK
If you like sandstone duck, you’ll like our washed duck. This fabric feels exactly like it sounds — we took our durable, classic duck, and washed it for a broken-in look and feel. It breaks in faster than duck, and looks newer, longer. Find it in gear like our Full Swing™.
RUGGED FLEX™ DUCK
Rugged Flex™ Duck gives you the classic Carhartt look, with just the perfect amount of stretch. Made by combining our famous cotton Duck with Rugged Flex™ durable stretch technology, the result is increased ease of movement everywhere it’s needed, and our most comfortable heavyweight gear yet.
