Oregon Connections Academy, an online public school serving students across the state in grades K-12, graduated 70 seniors in 2023, including:

MIKEY EDWARDS, SPRINGFIELD

After graduation, Mikey Edwards from Springfield is considering an apprenticeship program for tattooing, taking business classes or both. Mikey says staying in contact with teachers through the online school setting will help in the future. “If I go full-time tattooing, I will be one-on-one working with consumers who are getting a tattoo or if I do business full time I can be my own boss and still get work done.” Mikey works at Sonic and enjoys art. She started at Oregon Connections Academy (ORCA) a little late in the school year and is grateful for the teachers who helped her graduate. “I had good teachers that cared all the way through.”
