With intimate service and space for just 100 guests on board, Emerald Cruises’ luxury yachts truly embrace the small ship experience. Reaching an impressive 110 metres (360 feet) in length, there is an abundance of space on board just waiting to be explored.

Our luxury yachts bring a taste of bohemia to the oceans, surrounding guests with contemporary design elements such as Paola Lenti day loungers around the infinity-style Aqua Pool and Kettal deck chairs by the Sky Bar. Guests are treated to Missoni towels and robes throughout the yacht, and ESPA beauty products can be found in all suites and staterooms.

A culinary journey

With a selection of dining areas, bars and lounges on board, an Emerald Cruises luxury yacht provides a venue to suit every mood. Our Director of Food & Beverage, Tom Goetter, has created the menus for our main restaurant, La Cucina Dining, celebrating fresh, seasonal and local produce. This spacious setting flows into a large alfresco terrace, where you can try dishes like tender racks of lamb accompanied by seasonal vegetables, the freshest black mussels with crusty garlic bread for dipping, and rich, earthy truffle risotto. And during the day, buffet breakfasts and lunches present a diverse selection of delicious cuisine.

At the Aqua Pool Café, a selection of flatbreads packs a punch with a range of fillings, and revitalizing gelato satisfies your sweet tooth.

Ebru Painting Workshop

Ebru painting workshop enables you to discover this incredible and traditional Turkish art up close and personal. To create these wonderful, colourful patterns natural dyes are mixed with ox gall, then using a traditional brush they are splashed onto a deep tray of water. These oily dyes make their design on the surface of the water, then once the design is ready, the finished pattern is transferred to paper. Historically this art of marbling was only transferred to paper but now these glorious patterns can be transferred to many kinds of surfaces such as leather, glass, furniture and book covers. Life on the ocean

A luxury yacht cruise across the oceans of the world is like nothing else. As you sail along the iconic coastlines our yachts visit, our guide to life on the ocean is here to help you make the most of all that Mother Nature has to offer during your voyage.

Stabilization

While sea conditions are generally good in some of the regions our yachts visit, nature tends to have a mind of its own, and sometimes we might face rough seas. Emerald Cruises luxury yachts are each equipped with a pair of retractable fin stabilizers, meaning our yachts pitch and roll as little as possible. This ensures maximum relaxation for our guests while on board, no matter the weather!

Aqua Pool & Marina Platform

Our luxury yachts each feature an infinity-style pool on the Aqua Deck, offering you great alfresco views as you swim under the sun. Each yacht also features a Marina Platform equipped with various water sports toys for our guests to enjoy. While we aim to offer these areas to our guests as often as possible, sometimes the local regulations, yacht traffic in the bay or weather conditions may restrict their use. During rough seas, the Aqua Pool will be drained to ensure the safety of our guests and crew, and our Marina Platforms will only be made available when our yachts are at anchor in calm waters.

Tender boats

To make the most of each of the countries our yachts travel to, sometimes our cruises will visit towns and cities where there is no docking facility for yachts of our size, and our yachts will anchor at sea nearby. In this case, our guests will be transported ashore on one of the three tender boats each of our yachts is equipped with. This is usually a short trip to the shore and enables us to take you right into the heart of the locations we visit.

Itinerary alterations

At Emerald Cruises, our destinations are meticulously chosen, and our itineraries planned with great detail to ensure all the ports we visit are accessible. However, in some rare cases, our yachts may not be able to visit a port as planned due to unforeseen factors such as bad weather. In these cases, our guests will be informed of any port diversions or alterations to our itineraries as soon as possible, and we will do our utmost to make sure your cruise is impacted as little as possible.

Staying connected at sea

While on board one of our luxury yachts, our guests have access to our complimentary standard Wi-Fi service, meaning you can stay in touch with friends and family back home and share all of the wonderful photos you take during your cruise. We also offer a Platinum Wi-Fi package for all of our guests’ streaming needs. While we offer internet services 24/7, our satellite connection can be impacted by a number of factors, such as bad weather, so signal may become weak at some points during your voyage.

Ocean terminology

We understand that sometimes it might seem as if seafarers are speaking their own language. We’ve made a guide so you’re familiar with all of the important lingo while on board one of our luxury yachts.

Anchoring Mooring a ship to the sea floor with an anchor Stabilizer A fin mounted to the yacht beneath the waterline to reduce vessel’s movement when facing rough sea conditions

Cherish the Planet

At Emerald Cruises, our Cherish the Planet ethos is about more than just environmental sustainability – we are committed to creating positive change in all areas of our business and to fostering sustainable practices and rich community partnerships. Our desire is to protect the Earth by leaving as small a footprint as possible.

Our commitment to the planet is to deliver environmentally responsible tourism to protect each of the destinations we visit. Cherish the Planet was launched in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and we have gone on to create exceptional carbon-conscious and community-focused experiences in incredible destinations. At Emerald Cruises, we are proud of the positive relationships we have formed within the communities we visit.

Our Cherish the Planet commitment has ensured: the provision of clean running water to the Chiro village in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia; the construction of sanitation blocks in Yandabo village along the Irrawaddy River; and the continued support of the Bread of Life Project aimed at reducing prejudice against Roma communities in Belgrade.

Our pillars of sustainability

Cherish the Planet has six key focus areas.

1. Leave no waste

We’ve eliminated all single-use plastic on board and work closely with, and fund, local projects that collect and recycle plastic waste, helping to maintain the world’s natural beauty and improve living conditions. We provide our guests with complimentary refillable Emerald Cruises bottles and filtered water stations across our yachts, as well as refillable toiletries in our suites – and no plastic straws are used on board.

2. Rebalancing of CO2 emissions

We have concentrated our efforts on minimising our environmental impact, and support causes aligned with rebalancing our CO2 emissions, including exceptional carbon-conscious experiences, with hiking and e-biking now available on many of our itineraries. We are also working to calculate the CO2 emissions of each our sailings so we can continue in the future to implement new technologies and initiatives which ensure our carbon footprint is reduced.

3. Sourcing sustainably

As we sail the world, many of our exquisite dishes on board feature local produce. Wine is sourced from small vineyards along the Moselle, Rhine, and Douro rivers, and on the Mekong, we source fresh local produce to create our Asian-inspired menus. Our goal is to source sustainably every step of the way, from produce to packaging, recycling, and our choice of suppliers.

4. Growing with communities

We are committed to meaningful and respectful cultural interactions between local inhabitants and our guests, and many of our itineraries include certified Cherish the Planet experiences that ensure local businesses benefit from our journeys. We’re also working with leaders and third parties within the communities we visit to ensure sustainability for the future.

5. Grow from within, value diversity

At Emerald Cruises, we truly value diversity – it is a strength to have different perspectives within our business and we believe it helps us find the best solutions and services for our guests. We treat all crew and all employees equally, independent of gender, sexual orientation, age, race or religion and we currently employ over 50 nationalities from across the globe throughout our vessels.

6. Advocate health, safety & security

We have created an engaging workplace at Emerald Cruises that supports the wellbeing of our staff, prioritising health, and safety. We also want every member of staff to be fully immersed in the ethos at the heart of Cherish the Planet. To ensure this, Emerald Cruises staff will complete extensive training that supports their wellbeing and will ensure health and safety is prioritized.
