Funçã o da DTAP e BS S MAP 

DTAP 

DTAP é responsável pela transferência transparente de mensagens da L3 da MS para a MSC, ou da MSC para a MS que não serão analisadas pela BSC. É transferida entre BSS e MSC utilizando serviço classe 2 da SCCP (classe de conexão orientada básica)

BSSMAP 

A transmissão de mensagens BSSMAP na SCCP se dá para que entidades funcionais de MSC e BSS troquem informações.

Data Link Connection Identity ( DLCI ) : 

Indica o tipo de link de dados que deve ser usado na interface de rádio para as mensagens enviadas da MSC para BSC.

Indica o tipo de link de dados na interface de rádio que apresenta a mensagem enviada pela BSS para MSC. Bit:
