They were dancing. They were twirling. The air was thick with joy. I was standing in the middle of nowhere in Swaziland, Africa in the summer of 2007. I was being greeted by a village of women whose zest for life and celebrating the joy in the every day was contagious. I looked at the sheer glee on their face as they spun around with abandon. And I immediately joined in. That night as I went to sleep, I realized I hadn't let loose like that since I was a little girl. A little girl who loved to dress up for my parents. To twirl and to spin. A little girl who had no fear holding her back from celebrating who she was. But these days, somewhere along the way from little girl to teenager, us girls seem to lose the sense of living life with abandon. Of letting loose. Of spinning and laughing with great joy and being fully confident that we shine. Of not basing our self-worth and actions off of what others think.
I CHOSE THE THEME FOR THIS YEAR ' S SENIOR REPS PHOTO SHOOT TO BE 'P ASSPORT TO SHINE.' It is an ode to not only what the gorgeous-spirited women in Swaziland, Africa taught me years ago, but also what the adventurous 3-year-old little girl in each of us can remind us about ourselves. To the Class of 2016 ladies who I'll have the honor of working with this year: may you never stop twirling with great joy and confidence while encouraging others to do the same. And to the parents of my beloved seniors - may you always enjoy watching your daughter truly shine. With sincere gratitude,

Investment
Your Deposit Blocks Your Photo Shoot Date
A $150 Deposit holds your date. Your full $150 Deposit will be credited towards the Package of your choice at your Viewing Session. I am also happy to arrange professional, on-site hair and makeup services by one of my fabulous hair and make-up artists. Their $120 rate would be paid to them directly on the day of your photo shoot. My hair and make-up artists work wonderfully with high school seniors!
Step Two
Select Your Package at Your Viewing Session
We’ll schedule a Viewing Session that will take place two weeks following your photo shoot date. You don’t need to decide which package you’d like until that date. All packages include a link to download your high resolution, fully-edited digital files that will be safely stored “in the cloud” for the next ten years. Each package also includes a full print release as well as your photo and video fusion Vimeo video.
Step Three
Share the Shine!
By receiving your digital files, you will have full access to share your images online via social media, as well as in print. The Print Release you will receive will allow you to print your images on your own through a local store, such as Target. For your convenience, you will also have the opportunity to order prints, canvases, and graduation cards through my professional color lab.

I am excited to introduce my clients to a few special ladies who live in the La Limonada Community in Guatemala to whom a minimum of 10% of our profits to go support. La Limonada is the largest urban slum in Central America, and my husband and I have been personally invested on the ground in this community for years. As an Em Grey Photography client, you are bringing change and great joy to this community. In addition to giving to the La Limonada Community, an additional 10% of our profits go toward funding my volunteer humanitarian photography and videography services for cause-based brands and non-profit organizations in developing nations.
T HEY NEED THEIR STORIES TOLD . I am passionate about capturing powerful images and videos that help raise awareness for organizations providing empowerment in vulnerable communities. They need their stories told - stories that invite people to become a part of their vision. Although I have had the opportunity to take on several of these special projects each year, my current waiting list is quite long. It is filled with incredible companies that would benefit greatly from complementary services to help elevate their voice, and in turn, bring awareness to their worldchanging efforts. I’m excited about the possibilities of giving back over the next 12 months and beyond, especially when I look at all we’ve been able to accomplish together over the past few years! Meet Jasmine We are sponsoring Jasmine’s high school education, as even public schools in Guatemala require a fee and specific supplies (~$1,000 per year). She’s currently in 9th grade, and during my last visit to Guatemala in February of 2015, we chatted about her future dreams to become either a flight attendant or a children’s doctor. She has an adventurous and giving spirit, and I can’t wait to visit with her on my next trip to Guatemala in the summer of 2015. Jasmine once struggled to commit to her studies, but she is now excelling in school, partly due to the encouragement she has received from knowing high schoolers here in North Carolina are cheering her on.
Meet Yoli We are currently sponsoring half of Yoli’s monthly salary. Yoli is one of the most amazing women I’ve ever met, and she oversees the scholars program through Lemonade International. As the large majority of students in the scholars program going through high school do not have parents who are active in their lives and education, Yoli serves as the “mom” to nearly 100 students, ensuring they excel in their studies, despite their challenging life in the slums.
Meet Janina Janina is the community nurse in La Limonada, and 33% ($50) of every family mini-session is contributed to her salary. Janina helps to provide relief to families struggling with extreme health issues and brings comfort, healing, and love to the most vulnerable.
