Open Day 2021 Tully
Educate Together

Welcome to Tully ETNS Tully ETNS is a school for all. We provide the very best of ethical education, while nurturing a love of community, creativity and environment. Tully accepts students from all backgrounds, in line with the Educate Together ethos. Currently we have one Junior Infant class, but we expect to grow to 700 students in the years ahead. Our school is right in the middle of all the excitement in the Cherrywood area as the community around us is growing. We are lucky enough to be surrounded by four parks within the Cherrywood community. One of which, Tully Park, is right at the doorstep of our school. We hope that you enjoy our Open Day 2021, and all that Tully ETNS has to offer.

A Message from our Principal Welcome to Tully ETNS, at the heart of the community of Cherrywood. It is an honour to run a school in these wonderful surroundings. The Tully area provides a rich natural and historical environment, which brings great opportunities for learning. We see our school as being at the centre of this rapidly-growing community. We provide child-centred, equality based and democratic education in line with the core values of Educate Together. Parents and the community are an integral part of this. I am very excited with the adventure ahead of us as we strive to build this school as a centre of excellence. Joe Lennon, Principal

Our schools are State-funded, non-fee paying and teach both ethical education and the National Curriculum.
In 1978, a group of parents and educators saw the need to form an organisation independent from religious orders, where schools would run based on equality and respect. Children would be welcomed regardless of their social, economic, cultural or religious background. Today, we have nearly 100 national schools, and demand continues to grow. Families choose our Educate Together schools because it is a model of education based on equality and human rights.

Our core principles are Equality-Based All children have equal access to the school and no one religion or worldview is given priority over another. Co-Educational All children are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their gender or identity. Child-Centered Learning We put children at the heart of all policies and practices and involve them in decision-making where appropriate. Democratically-Run We encourage participation of parents and students, whilst positively affirming the role of the staff.
