muni boulevard
reimagine the public bus transporation — muni With the limitation of Muni moving 8 mph, this project aims to blend the joyful walking experience from the pedestrian with the experience of taking a muni bus ride by leveling the interior Muni platform with the street sidewalk.

Learning from the design of San Francisco Cable Car, there are two exterior spaces created to allow people from the sidewalk to hub in and out of the bus easily. People who sit in the exterior part of the bus can also have a causal conversation with the people walking on the road. The whole bus in divided into five different time zones to accommodate short term, intermediate, and relatively long term ridership. One side of the bus is covered with transparent glass panel and is completely open to the street which allows people to observe and have the shared pedestrian experience. On the other side of the bus, there are smaller openings for individual people who need to focus on their task at hand for work. This project uses line to generate the seating and standing arrangement that can support people in different body position. For example, a person ride the Muni for 15 mins can lean their back against one of the standing pole. A college student can quickly brainstorm the outline of the paper when sitting in the long term working zone, where it provide seating and working surface for the public.

sky bart
reimagine the public bart transporation The Sky Bart is designed to make the users feel constantly within the city rather than a enclosed, compressed transportation. The interior consist of stainless steel seating and flooring in lower part of Bart and two way transparent and reflective mirror glass to cover the interior. The transparent and reflective quality of the mirror glass allows the interior of Bart to the visible horizon line of San Francisco cityscape. The characteristic of the two way mirror also creates different lighting condition throughout a day. When inside a dark underground tunnel, the mirror become more reflective. When Sky Bart is above ground in day time , the reflectivity of the mirror is reduced and users are able to observe the surrounding cityscape while in transition. The Sky Bart adopts movable and adjustable furniture chairble for the users to move them in three positions to support their body position. A student can simply snap the charible in the highest position to form a standing work surface in her last 15 mins of the ride to finish a paper. A couple can snap the chairble to form seats and a mini table for them to see each other face to face.

white aperture&black enclosure photography studio
A three stories photography studio that consists of white media media/ print center on first floor, black retailed and gallery space on the second floor and white studio spaces on third floor. The photography studio is designed to allow three different artists to work and show their work at the same time, connecting the public audience and the artists by allowing the general public to learn and witness how a piece of artwork is made while the artists are able to showcase their work as an end product.Since it is a black and white studio, the circulation within the building, the stairs are also intentionally design to direct people from floor to floor. Since it is a black and white studio, the ciruclation within the building, the stairs are also speciallity design to direct people from floor to floor.

COLOR PERCEPTION MATERIALITY STUDIO 2
This project explore the relationship between visual perception and color in space with investigation on glycerin as modeling material. The interior space is made of series of different sizes of cubes connecting with each other to form a big and a small opening on two different sides of the cube. By using a gradient of a single color blue, the interior space is able to visually becomes a flat graphic than a 3D space.
