INTRODUCTION Being a student in Iowa State University’s Interior Design program has allowed me to grow as a pupil, designer, and professional. The projects included in my portfolio have challenged me in ways I could not have imagined and have further perfected my design skills. Throughout my education, I have learned how to hand and computer render, draft, construct buildings from the inside out, and utilize AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUP, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, and Microsoft suite.

INTERNSHIP

SUMMER 2017

In the Fall of 2016 I studied abroad in Rome, Italy. Studying abroad has tested my design knowledge and helped me develop new skills to create quality designs. My experiences in Europe, both in and outside the classroom, have challenged my ability to adapt to unfamiliar surroundings and has prepared me to take on any challenge.

N E X T C O R P O R AT I O N PROJECT DESCRIPTION Design a medical office building for Steelcase’s Student Design Competition that makes care more accessible and convenient for the residents of Seattle, Washington. NEXT medical office building is a multidisciplinary medical group that promotes healthy living and active lifestyles while emphasizing private care .

DESIGN

CONCEPT

In a world so connected through online communication, we spend more time looking at a screen than we do interacting with people around us. Technology is momentous in today’s cyberculture, but it interrupts the establishment of social connections. These connections stimulate productivity, promote overall wellbeing, and increase employee success.

NEXT aims to reconnect people by creating spaces that foster social

MASK OF FREEDOM PROJECT DESCRIPTION Design a luxury retail storefront for an Italian Fashion Design student in Rome, Italy that showcases their most recent clothing line and captures their design philosophy. Teamwork and communication are key, much like it is for any design office, in the understanding of international design.

DESIGN

CONCEPT

Mask of Freedom is a minimal retail environment where directional lighting emphasizes the layers and textures of each material. A continuous wall structure will guide clients through the space and represent the transition of a woman becoming confident in who she is.

MY

PROJECT

ROLE

In this project, I produced two of the four rendered perspectives, both ground and lower level rendered floor plans, as well as all of the ground level, lower level, and store front rendered sections, elevations, and reflected ceiling plans.

LASALLE LUXURY RESIDENCE PROJECT DESCRIPTION Develop a high-end luxury design for Andre and Iris Lasalle and their family. This project addresses a contemporary interior design issue, reinterprets aesthetic and spacial preferences or specific global heritages , and reflect the clients current and professional interests. Acessibility and air quality accommodations, related to a family member’s physical mobility and breathing ailments, are key programmatic challenges in this project.

DESIGN

CONCEPT

The Lasalle Luxury Residence was inspired by Persian design and historical influences. This concept derived from Andre and Iris’s love of art and culture. The layout of the home, in combination with Persian architecture and materials, will work to guide one through the traditional space.
