Ohai! I am Emily “Bee”–Artist, Photographer, and Designer with a great love for what I do....a professional that has fun (it’s working, somehow). I’m here to help you create something beautiful out of what you perhaps consider to be “just everyday”. Everyone’s life has color, and a story…it fuels my inspiration and I assure you you can find it too. My work is inspired by your individuality. Nothing is too crazy. And love is just about the sweetest thing! I am based out of Madison, WI and serve greater Madison, Milwaukee…. wherever you need me to be! If your pretty face is looking for an adventure, don’t be shy! Drop me an email and we’ll meet up! Coffee’s on me :)

Portraits

Portrait sessions are awesome and a good investment to capture lovely memories in an artful manner. I want to make you look awesome....after all, a big part of my job is finding beauty in everyday reality....YOUR reality. Do you think your life is just “so-so” and “ordinary?” Think again. Beautiful people and their stories are everywhere. Examples of portrait sessions include:

-- Family* -- Children* -- Babies* -- Highschool Seniors* -- Engaged Couples* -- Theatre students/actors -- Business headshots -- Portraits...just because! Emily Bee Arts features a very location-oriented experience. This way we can focus on YOU, and keeping you comfortable in an environment you are comfortable and can relate to. If you’re camera shy...I’ll try to make you laugh, and hopefully you can have fun. (No worries...I’m camera shy too!)

* These sessions are the most common inquired for and photographed, but since we specialize in LIFESTYLE photography....no request is too-crazy (within reason)! Just shoot me an email and we’ll talk about capturing your story!

Step 1 - Inquiry

The Process

If you like what you see in the portfolios and want some custom photographs that are unlike anyone elses, and full of color, life, and personality....email me at info@ emilybeearts.com....I’ll get back to you in 24-48 hours. In-person consults are also awesome. I also ask that you book 2 weeks in advance (especially for appts. outside Madison. I don’t have a personal artsmobile...I guess I’m a hippie like that).

Step 2 - Booking

Once we settle on a date and time that is good for everyone...I will send you an invoice, photoshoot flight-plan, optional questionnaire, and the contract/release form... which I will explain to you in my email. Plan on a backup for inclement weather, and give a week’s notice prior to cancellation/rescheduling or you’ll be charged a $25 fee in addition to sitting fee...we all gotta eat, and I can’t eat if I don’t work ;)

Step 3 - Shooting!

Yup....this is the fun part where we hang out and take pretty pictures. We’ll talk out all the details beforehand, discuss questionnaires, etc. But it’ll be fun...I promise!

Step 4 - Sneak Peek

I love this part as much as shooting....if you signed the release, I will blog your session and put your photos up on everyone’s favorite social network that they are addicted to--Facebook. It’s exciting, and I do this fast! I also get super nervous....waiting for your response!

Step 5 - Editing/Proofing

This process takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the length and nature of your session. I shoot hundreds of pictures per session, and weed out the bad ones and deliver the ones I find to be worthy (usually around 50). I edit based on the nature of the photograph. I’ll email you when I’m done, and give you the password to your online gallery.

Step 6 - Ordering

You can order prints online, all other products can be ordered directly through me. Ordering/shipping takes 4-6 weeks, depending on the size of your order and what you ordered. And then they arrive....yay!

I use imagery to tell a lot of stories....so naturally, I’d be ecstatic to tell your love story. Any type of love will do!

Wedding Info

The process works similarly to portrait sessions....it’s just a little bit more complicated because love is a pretty big deal ;) There’s a lot that goes into it so I’ll keep it simple until we talk.... 1. Inquiry. Email me at info@emilybeearts.com. I will happily respond in 48 hours. 2. Consultation....is required. We meet up, I’ll buy you coffee. We’ll talk about the big day and the lovely 3-page contract I might be scaring you with....but it’s essential. 3. Booking....I reccomend you book your wedding 6 months to a year in advance, with the venues secured. Rescheduling has a fee, and the booking deposit is non-refundable....so make sure all your ducks are in a row before signing the contract and putting $ down. 4. E-session? I want to get to know you lovebirds, and start your story from the beginning if possible. Plus, it’s a good way to step forward and into your big day. They are perfect for save-the-dates. 5. Wedding! Shooting! Yup...its awesome. And we’ll have fun! 6. EDITING WILL TAKE LONGER. Between myself and the second shooters....there are a lot of photos to go over. The sneak peeks/blogs are usually up within a week’s time, and editing the entire batch of thousands of pictures takes 2-4 weeks. Patience is a virtue. 7. They’re done! They’re on the proofing system! You and your family and friends can order prints! Like portraits, prints and products take 4-6 weeks from ordering, processing, and shipping. Just an FYI...albums may take even longer. But in the end, you’ll be smiling at such lovely memories.

Just a FYI....

- Travel rates outside Madison busline are $.50/mi to and from location. I might be in Milwaukee sometimes visting family, and then travel rates won’t apply. :) - Prices/products are subject to change at any time....I will let you know if changes and/or updates have been made to the catalog via social networking tools. - Product Pricing includes wholesale cost, print commission, photographer profit, and Wisconsin Sales Tax. - Sitting Fees are flate rates that cover shooting and editing time. If the session fee includes something, that price is accounted for. - I am an on-location photographer that primarily works with natural/available light. No studio, sorry. - The door is always open! :) Ask me for help with ideas, ask questions, tell me what I did right, tell me what I did wrong.... regardless of your request or need to discuss, I’m here to be hopefully as amazing as my clients.
