SKILLS
I am proficient at art and design, I have an eye for detail and I am creative and imaginative. I enjoy hand drawing and use this as the foundation for my work; additionally I find the use of model making in the design process highly beneficial. I have a good knowledge of design software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. I have experience with AutoCAD and a basic ability in SketchUp and ArcGIS. During my studies I have improved my ability in both verbal and visual communication. Being involved in volunteering and social activities at university has developed my organisational and time-keeping ability. I am an industrious and dedicated team member, but I am also confident working independently and can take initiative.

EMPLOYMENT Discover Social Sciences, Wider Participation Ambassador University of Sheffield 2015-present On two occassions I have been involved in Discover Social Sciences events that engage with local post-16 students who may not aspire to university or social sciences as a career. I assist in guiding groups of students in landscape and architecture themed projects, encouraging them to think about how they can influence the world around them. Landscape Intern at Terra firma Consultancy, Petersfield June 2015 - July 2015 I undertook an internship at Terra Firma in Hampshire where I experienced work in a landscape practice. I was given the opportunity to be involved in many projects including residential, educational and LVIAs. During this experience I sharpened my ability in AutoCAD and learnt new programs such as KeyScape and CorelDraw. Seasonal Sales Assistant at Monsoon, Chichester July 2014 - January 2015 General Assistant at Hobbycraft, Havant October 2010–September 2013
VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE Revive Cafe, Sheffield I am actively and passionately involved with homeless outreach in Sheffield city centre. Over the last two years I have been part of a student group that makes soup, sandwiches and hot drinks to take around the city at weekends to both the homeless and Big Issue sellers. In the last year we started serving from the Cathedral Archer Project on Saturday lunchtime. The vision is not just to serve food, but to also sit, eat and talk with our guests. It can be a challenge to encoruage our guests to engage in conversation, but over time we have had the privilege to hear about their interests, passions and stories. Volunteering with the homeless has enabled me to connect with a wide range of people and has given me a passion to continue working with them through a career of landscape. Wybourn Community Allotment In the summer of 2014 I volunteered at a project to build a community allotment in Wybourn, Sheffield. This gave me an opportunity to work in a practical environment, which involved clearing the site and digging the earth in preparation for community members to come and plant produce. As a group, we also experimented with making insect boxes and other elements that the community could create and enhance the visual dynamics and ecological value of the allotment. I also had the opportunity to talk with some of the local residents to inform them about how they can get involved and to also hear their personal stories about the neighbourhood. Previous work experience includes time at an auction house in London and as a ‘front of house’ in a local arts centre.
