The emotions that we get out of it as a whole can be related back to the title as well “sway.” expressions of mellowness, calm, and peace are drawn out; the fact that the title represents the picture so well illustrates the same kind of feeling when riding a wave; relaxed moods of tranquility surround everywhere. The entirety of the representation with the slow movements of curves screams out “Relax, let the wave take you on an adventure.”
Inspiration for the design of the project came from the piece seen on the left. The color palette, use of lines and curves, and overall presentation of the work was a motive for the design process as well. Wellness yo so sweet is a design proposal for a frozen yogurt store to be installed in the ground level of a commercial office building (Landor Corporate Office) potential located in portland, Maine. The intent of a frozen yogurt space is to encourage another healthy alternative to ice cream and that frozen yogurt is an activity that can be enjoyed by all.

There are two separate entities in this project: Tamarack Pool and bridgeway House The main focus was to connect the school and the recreation center:
VISUALLY and PHYSICALLY visually enhancing and relocating the façade of the Bridgeway dramatically provides a new identity for the educational facility. The visual connection is made between the two, by reflecting the school’s fascia design into the pool’s welcoming entrance. Both facilities are therefore then connected physically by a communal courtyard of

Some of the various universities across the country have been “re-thinking the antiquated model of warehousing interior design programs within economics programs”(text provided by Jamie Slenker). From the diagram, the displayed lines and circles are intended to illustrate the interconnecting paths of the different colleges and universities. Of the colleges listed, these particular schools have developed new locations for their Art and Design departments. Particularly, renovating obsolete buildings and transforming them into unique new learning spaces. In relation to the school, some of the new departments are situated in a downtown location within a reasonable travel distance. With the intent of having these buildings in a downtown site, the belief is to enhance the university’s relationship within the community, creating a closer bonding experience.
N ARRATIVE C ONC EPT
Inter-Connectedness of a Community
The connection between the new locations of UNH’s Art and Design department, and the West Haven’s town green are all associated with the concepts of unity, intersections, paths, and connectivity. Opportunities with the location of the building, relationship to the land, and historic architectural details provide the needs to fulfill the basis idea of “community” that is situated within the art and design department.

hi s torical s ig nificanc e Town greens throughout New England are the essential heart of every town; concrete paths formulate means of travel for individuals that intersect with one another, making the unexpected meeting with others. Greens also have the power to bring people together and form friendships that create a strong relationship of “community” within each town. The relation with the town green’s tie in with the history of the Masonic Temple by its’ influence of the “bond” of the Mason’s brotherhood. Both aspects of the Mason’s faith and the town’s greens persuade the further development of the idea of networking, and interconnections .

PROJECT OBJECTIVE Address the needs of patients, families, and staff in the design of a private patient room and bathroom. This healing environment should demonstrate an understanding of the healthcare industry, while also utilizing available research to the greatest extent possible. “Distraction can play an integral role in the patient healing process. In addition to art, calming music in patients’ rooms and procedure areas can speed recovery and decrease patients’ pain, length of stay, stress, and depression”. A ROLL TOP STORAGE CABINET a little aboUt the cabinet instead of focusing on just “one” purpose for a cabinet, the idea of a multi-use cabinet or “one for all” began to take shape. single living dwellers tend to utilize storage systems to their upmost potential, most of the time by stuffing everything into one area. A majority of components within storage cabinets breakdown into private and public spaces for the owner’s belongings; the user has the ability to assign different spaces for each item and alter that decision at any time. With that in mind, a storage system with areas for private and public display of personal items has been created. in this case the storage of vinyl records and record player was the main source of inspiration. other uses for this cabinet included just for storage and a dry bar. materials Used : White oak plywood and pendleton Wool fabric

Procedure and process through the making of this cabinet went through a variety of phases. Main inspiration came from vintage roll top desks and the simplicity of plywood. The design on the left demonstrates the first design that was proposed. Below the first design transitions to the final and second proposed design offering a multitude of storage options. preliminary design | Before Revision

Doodles
doodles “The best part about a doodle is its imperfections. A doodle has no set criteria or standard; a doodle is a doodle, it can be whatever you want it to be.” -Emily Boelsems Someone once told me that doodling indicates a wandering mind and someone who is always thinking. No matter what the case, there is always a sketchbook, scrap of paper, or a blank hand ready for my pen’s interaction.
