FORUM SUMMARY 1 FORUM 1: RETHINKING BUILDING CODES & BUILDING REGULATIONS POST0-PANDEMIC Due to COVID 19 issue, some of the old building need to modify to suit our current situation. New building being build will have a different requirement need to be fulfil. According to the “perancangan pembangunan�, for office requirement there will be standard room size for different rank of the people. For working space, they will be given cubicle to work in order to minimize their build-up, maintenance and operation budget (1.1.1)
Some may say work from home will be the best solution but what about the other sector that needed an office to run. Social distance office rebuild might be a new solution for our current situation and for long run until the virus is contain. The challenge is for people to adapt to the new office lifestyle.
FORUM SUMMARY 1 Another method will be through air ventilation which help to improve air quality and create safe and healthy environment while reduce the air borne infection as well. A technology such as HVAC system is great since it helps to gather information of CO2, VOC and other level of pollutants for cleaning purposes. This method should be practice by all places to reduce health threat.
