Watch out! The Kransky Sisters are bringing their home baked show to town! From ABBA to Pink Floyd and Beyoncé to AC/DC, these three eccentric sisters with their eclectic mix of instruments including musical saw, tuba, old reed keyboard, guitar, duelling tambourines, kitchen pot and toilet brush, have cooked up a very special sweet serving of well known songs gleaned from their old wireless at home. Add to this, a spicy lot of stories from the sisters’ travels, and you have the icing on the cake. Hot out of the oven, these oddball Queensland sisters reminiscent of your old aunties will leave you wanting seconds!

ALMOST FIXED IT Luke’s almost fixed it… his life that is. He now has a real, actual girlfriend – something he previously thought impossible because of both his face and personality. With his new-found personal security, this Tassie local now has time to worry about all the stuff that is actually worth worrying about. Like, what is actually going on in the world? And, what happens when his girlfriend realises she’s made a mistake, leaves, and tells other people not to date him? Since Luke McGregor’s breakthrough 2014 stand-up show I Worry That I Worry Too Much, things have improved out of sight for Australia’s favourite awkward, obsessive-compulsive comedian. T h e B l a c k S o r ro w s The Black Sorrows return to The Spiegeltent by popular demand. Joe Camilleri steers the band through an energetic interplay of solid grooves and well-crafted songs that mix those well-worn ingredients of blues, soul, R&B, gospel, country and even brill building pop. Spontaneous (forget set lists) and emotionally driven, Joe ensures that no two performances are ever the same. Camilleri’s mantra is simple: “We come to play and leave the audience feeling exhilarated”.

Mother's Ruin: A Cabaret about Gin Equal parts historical and hysterical, lose yourself in the company of sailors, barmaids and bootleggers in this darkly comic cabaret. Fresh from the Sydney Festival, Mother’s Ruin is a raucous journey through 18th century London, a few New York speakeasies, the Australian bush and the jungles of Peru. Mother’s Ruin moves from misery to vaudeville in a moment, intertwining excess and prohibition, rebellion and (re)invention. In the midst of Australia’s gin renaissance, discover a little more about your favourite drop, with this mixed up musical history lesson delivered by two of Australia’s rising stars of cabaret.
PROBLEMATIC A funny show about whether anything can be funny anymore. Tom Ballard doesn’t like to brag, but he is desperate for validation, so let’s talk about his achievements. 2016 brought him nominations for best show at both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. No biggie. He also nabbed the inaugural Pinder Prize, made his American television debut on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle and took out the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer. Simply put, Tom Ballard is a very funny and interesting comedian. Don’t miss seeing one of the country’s most exciting and insightful voices as he tackles everything from pc to outrage culture to race relations. As seen on SBS’ First Contact NOMINEE
