01. Harborview Hotel LUXURY WORKSPACE RETREAT Revit, Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator

PROJECT NARRATIVE As the number of traveling working professionals rises each year, it becomes imperative to provide every traveler with a rejuvenating space during their stay in the bustling city centers. It was our mission was to design a luxurious hotel for traveling professionals to reside and work, that accommodates various work styles and preferences. Mixing feature spaces such as a Salon & Spa and rooftop bar, we give users a choice of how to relax and end their day. Collaborating with teammates Bailey Gunderson, Sydney New, and Alexis Murdock, we redesigned Navy Pier’s current Sable Hotel to better suit needs of traveling professionals.

02. BLANC SUSTAINABLE GOODS AND SERVICES Revit, Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator

PROJECT NARRATIVE In the heart of Notting Hill resides BLANC, a London-based small business that produces sustainable goods and ecofriendly laundry services. These range from things such as dry cleaning, tailoring, and more. My team included Darby Kaska and Krista Smith. During this project, my team and I developed a retail scene for a company of choice in an open unit of the historic downtown of Ames, Iowa.

03. Homestead Bound MIDWEST LUXURY GETAWAY Revit, Photoshop, Enscape

PROJECT NARRATIVE Homestead Bound is a project devoted to a chosen celebrity, reflecting their values and style through a luxury vacation home. The celebrity elected for this project was Ashton Kutcher, a native Iowan actor. Kutcher's vacation home reflects his design style, as shown in Architectural Digest's 2021 blog. Incorporating his midwestern roots, a rustic, soulful home that approaches farmhouse with a modern twist.

20

SITE & PROGRAMMING Homestead, IA, is home to Kutcher and about sixty-two other residents. A quiet town surrounded by farmland and, in the distance, the Iowa River. A perfect place for Kutcher and his family to escape their typical fast-paced lifestyle and revisit home.

04. Iowa State University Parks Library APPRECIATING NEURODIVERSITY AT IOWA STATE Revit, Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator

PROJECT NARRATIVE This research-based project discovered that about one-third of the student population suffers from anxiety and that the Parks Library at Iowa State University fails to accommodate to needs of the neurodiverse student population at Iowa State University. In the renovation of the library, we transformed spaces to resonate with the unique needs of the neurodiverse community, fostering an environment where the strength of togetherness is not just acknowledged but celebrated. Alongside peers Olivia Helton and Jaclyn Foster, our project focus was a comprehensive redesign of the library's heavily trafficked 3rd and 4th floors.

26

PROJECT SCOPE Parks library, occupying a substantial area of approximately 325,000 square feet, stands as one of the most expansive structures on the university campus, slightly surpassing the dimensions of the Memorial Union.

ATRIUM FEATURE SPACE To combat students staying home, an atrium space was implemented that cuts into the fourth floor, with a feature wall to showcase student art and host after-hours activities such as movies, plays, and speeches. The current library lacks community. This space will make it more than just a place for last-minute studying during finals.

2023 COLLEGE OF DESIGN HOLIDAY CARD Each year, a student is selected to design the holiday card, and for this iteration, my goal was to encapsulate the vibrant student experience. Drawing inspiration from campanile, design tools, and the university's colors, the card is a visual journey through the dynamic world of design education. Sent to university donors and esteemed alumni, the design aims to evoke a sense of pride and nostalgia while showcasing the innovation fostered at the College of Design. By seamlessly weaving together these elements, the card becomes a festive celebration of the design legacy that defines Iowa State University.
