Dear Jude What a perfect way to end a wonderful day out at the beach with the grandchildren than to come home and find that someone actually has the photographs that I had almost given up on. Thank you hardly seems enough but THANK YOU VERY MUCH almost comes close. I have some time off work in June with no firm plans made so maybe it is time for another visit, I visited the village 5 and 15 years ago. Thanks for your help and will you please thank Pam Price for me. Can’t stop smiling thanks again Linda ( Pam did have pictures of the last steam train in North Kilworth and we have e-mailed them to Linda. We also found that the ancestors of Ellen White (Who contacted us from Louisville, KY) lived in Peter Jones House. It’s good to know that the website is visited by people far afield-Ed) Mike and Gill Howkins and all the staff at F. Howkins & Son bid farewell to Ben Chandler in June as he sets off on his Council Minutes of Meeting Pa adventures to Australia. Gill says "We are sad to lose Ben, he has been with us since he was old enough to do a Saturday job and started by sweeping the yard and jet wash before progressing to his Motor Mechanic's apprenticeship. He has been a loyal and valuable member of our staff, always cheerful and upbeat and we will miss him and his lovely personality. However, we wish him well in this next stage of his life".

Hi Judith I live in South Kilworth and have been working on negotiating a deal for LPG supplies to the village. We appear to have some reasonable deals on the table, so I’m holding a meeting on 2nd June to discuss which supplier people want to go with.

I’d like to see if there’s anybody in North Kilworth who’d also like to benefit (households in SK are benefitting from up to 14p per litre!), so to this end, please could you publish the attached in this month’s North Kilworth News. I’m not sure what date your newsletter gets distributed and given the date of the meeting, it could be that your newsletter doesn’t arrive in time but nevertheless, people can still get involved in the deal if they get in touch so it’s worth publishing it anyway. Let me know if you need anything else.

Warm milk until nearly boiling and set aside. Melt chocolate over a bowl of simmering water. Take bowl off water and leave to cool a little. Add milk to chocolate and stir together until smooth. Leave to cool for 10 minutes. Whip cream until it just holds its shape. Whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Fold cream into chocolate mixture with a large metal spoon and then carefully fold in egg whites. Spoon mixture into 6 small glasses or bowls and chill for 4 hours or overnight. Decorate as requires.
Many thanks to Claire Williams for this delicious and very easy recipe for chocolate mousse.
