Case Study : Gallo Nero This Italian restaurant was completed 2016, located in Bucharest, Romania. The most dominant design feature is the bar. It’s the heart and center of the action. The layout of the dining table is very flexible in order to accommodate each guest. The natural, high quality finishes make the restaurant feel very cozy. The variety of lights allow for different moods within each environment. By having a line of candles that follow the upper contour line of the space, the warmth and nobility of the restaurant is preserved.

Color Theory
Choosing a warm color palette evokes creativity and joy. Mixing in a variety of textures brings depth to the space and inspires those utilizing it.
Acoustic Properties
Sound is very important to consider when creating small outlets within an open floor plan. Lower ceiling heights create an intimate setting; for lower volume.
Lighting
When lighting areas such as the exhibition spaces it’s important to incorporate as much daylight as possible. Using white LED light displays artwork nicely.
Community Participation
By creating spaces that allow for public displays and events, the public interacts with the residency. Forming bonds establishes strong connections.
Personal Growth
While experiencing the residency, students are on a journey of self exploration. They’re meeting new people and learning, while transitioning into adulthood.
Creative Stimulation
In order to creatively stimulate, the users of the space must be inspired. By creating moments of engagement, the user forming their own story.

Concept : Playground A playground represents the Urban Co working Loft perfectly. The children who utilize these spaces are full of energy and creativity. As children, we view the world with an open mind and are constantly learning. Employees should do the same. By always learning and experiencing new things we remain innovative. The playground is very collaborative but, also challenging. With constant stimulation, children develop problem solving skills. Similar to a playground, the corporate office should represent different zones. Since the workforce includes four different generations, people are drawn to specific spaces. Having variety within the work environment is crucial to ensuring a company’s success and employee happiness.
