Welcome to the 2015 Gala and Auction, Vive La France. This signature fundraising event celebrates the history of our Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. All gifts received tonight will go toward the Carondelet Annual Fund, which benefits all 750 students at OLP. They are the next generation of women leaders and innovators.

Program Participants Eye of Newt Circus, Eric Newton and Company Founded by Eric Newton in 2002, Eye of Newt brings performers who’ve worked with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize and other productions world-wide. This diverse and highly adaptable company performs in venues large and small and is featured in televised concerts and film. Gerry Spears, Auctioneer Gerry graduated from Father Joe’s St. Vincent de Paul Village in March 2000. Father Joe recognized his gift and, post graduation, Gerry attended the Western College of Auctioneering in Billings Montana. Gerry is on staff at Father Joe’s Villages and is currently a member of the Development Team. Student Performers Andrea Cervantes ’15, Vocalist A senior at OLP, Andrea has been a featured performer in several plays, serves as a member of Link Crew and as VP of the Thespians club. She helped found OLP’s Ballet Folklorico Club. Andrea plans to major in International Studies and Theatre. Jordan Stewart ’15, Vocalist A senior at OLP, Jordan has shared her vocal talents previously at last year’s OLP Gala. She has been a performer in many OLP Theatrical Productions and has served as VP of Thespians and on the leadership team for the new BeYOUtiful Project. Jordan will pursue a major in English with a minor in Theatre Arts. Katherine Kamrath ’71 Katherine is an accomplished musician and Faculty member for OLP’s Visual and Performing Arts Department. She ceaselessly lends her support and guidance to OLP performers in theatrical productions, at Mass, for Spring Sing and for all special events. Saint Augustine 32nd Street Jazz Band This toe-tapping student group is a welcomed addition to a variety of events throughout the region and partners with OLP vocalists to create wonderful music this evening.
Live Auction Rules
The auctioneer will describe each item up for bid and will start the bidding. When you wish to bid on an item, hold up your program—with bidder number facing the auctioneer—until the auctioneer acknowledges your bid. The auctioneer will make the call for the close of each item. The winning bid will be processed on the credit card provided at check-in unless otherwise arranged at check-out. Pursuant to Internal Revenue Service code, only the amount paid “in excess of the actual cash value of the item” is tax deductible.

Raise your paddle and provide direct philanthropic support to the Carondelet Annual Fund, which benefits all 750 OLP students. The auctioneer will guide guests through funding levels in descending order. When you wish to donate at a specific level, raise your bidder number until the auctioneer has acknowledged your donation. The donation will be processed on the credit card provided at check-in unless otherwise arranged. Fund-APilot contributions are 100 percent tax-deductible donations to the Academy of Our Lady of Peace’s Carondelet Annual Fund. Federal Tax ID number 95-2113807. Thank you for your support!

Upgrade Your Dessert Tonight!
Crepe Suzette: Owner and Executive Chef of The French Gourmet, Michel Malecot, prepares this traditional French dessert table-side for you and your friends tonight! Tender, thin crepes warmed in an orange butter sauce, doused with Grand Marnier and ignited in flaming glory. Petits-Fours Painted Plate: 25 pieces of delicious miniature French pastries served on a pool of cream anglaise and coulis. Croquembouche Piece-Montee: Traditional custard-filled crunchy puffs piled into a cone and bound with threads of caramel. The name comes from the French phrase “croque en bouche,” which means something that crunches in the mouth. Tray of Raspberry Tarts: 15 almond shortbread tarts filled with almond and custard creams, brushed with white chocolate, and topped with fresh raspberries.
