Dear Tom, Before I go into telling you why this Fanbook was created (even though you can most likely guess by the cover) I’d better introduce myself. My name is Emily Pontin, I’m 18 years old (19 in a few weeks) and from a town called Dover in Kent. I remember the day I became a fan of yours like it was yesterday. It was a sunny Thursday morning last July in the old one screen Silverscreen cinema in Dover town. Now you’re probably wondering why I decided to spend a sunny July morning at the OAP screening of one Midnight in Paris when I could be outside enjoying the sun. Well that’s just me, I’d rather be at home with the curtains closed, watching a film than outside, that’s not to say I don’t like being outside, I do. Anyway, im rambling. I apologise. I knew nothing about the film other than that it was set in Paris and directed by one Woody Allen. I did however have a feeling that it was going to be a film I was going to love. I was certainly right. As soon as the opening credits and the breathtaking exteriors of Paris with the beautiful music playing in the background started playing, I was hooked. I’ve always loved the 1920s ever since I saw the film Bugsy Malone so I was in my element when Gil went back to the 20s and met Ernest Hemingway and one F Scott Fitzgerald, who until that moment I’d only heard the names of. Your portrayal of Scott was beyond amazing! I actually thought you were American in real life your accent was that good! You stole the film for me. I only wish you were in the film more. Yours and Alison Peal’s chemistry is amazing! I can only imagine the amount of fun you had on set. Anyway, needless to say I absolutely adored the rest of the film and had to stay to the end purely to find out your name. Once I did, I went home and done my research, watching the rest of your filmography and your interviews on YouTube, becoming even more of a fan with every interview and film I watched. You’re truly an inspiration and incredible actor, sir. I’ve since read The Great Gatsby purely because of your portrayal of Fitzgerald and absolutely loved it. To say I’m excited for the new film in May is an understatement.
You have also inspired me to write again which I appreciate more than you know. Your quotes are so inspiring. Especially the ones where you said we should prove the cynics wrong and follow our dreams no matter what. I do that on a daily basis, I won’t go in to detail but you should know, you’re such an inspiration to me and to so many other people. We all love you so much. Don’t ever change, Tom. This brings me on nicely as to why this Fanbook was created. The idea was put in to plan since the end of July last year and has been going on since now, until a few days before the Empire Awards and the date I hopefully got to give this to you. Since becoming a fan of yours I’ve met so many amazing people on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr who I am proud to call my friends. I met my friend Laura Edwards @girlsintheback (who you tweeted about signing her phone) at the BAFTAs this year and we had a great day getting to know each other in real life, in the rain and snow as we waited for you. It was great just to get a glimpse of you and hopefully by the time you read this I would have met and presented you with this book. I got talking to quite a few people online about how and why were fans and why we love you. Now you probably get told `I love you` a lot by fans and in this book you will find the reasons why we love you.
Included in these many colourful pages you will find the following:

Dear Tom, You are the dude. The master dude. You rule over all other dudes. Your acting is so far superior to other actors. It’s like superman to earthlings. Just kidding. But really, dude. You’re a total inspiration, you’ve got a wicked awesome smile, and are your eyes green or blue because asdfghkl I have no idea. They always seem to change and it bothers the out of me. Sorry for saying dude so much. I just like the word dude. And im sorry this letter isn’t very long; I just don’t want to creep you out with my admiration and respect (if that’s possible?). I don’t know! I would love to meet you and be like `Hey dude, what’s up!” then I couldn’t buy you ice cream as we ride into the sunset, our hair a flowing. Omg. Im sorry I said that ha-ha. Anyways, count on seeing me if you’re ever in Colorado. Much love, Xandra Kirkland (aka hiddle-
Howdy Tom! I'm Amy, from Sunderland, UK! I've just finished my Btec in Drama at college ( I got a Distinction, Distinction, Merit) After I complete my Degree in Music Practice I'm going to try and save the money, and Audition for RADA. It's been a dream of mine for a long time. I'd like you to know how much of a great actor you are. There aren't actually any words to even describe how good you are. You remind me of why I've always wanted to be an actor. Thankyou. (@AmyJaneWinwood)-Twitter
.To Tom You’re an amazing and beautiful person- inside and out. You’re a gentleman, and I hope you never change. I’m sure you already know all of this, you being you, but i want you to know so many people see it, and appreciate it. Stay golden xx There is a lot that I would love to say, but I don't know that you would want to hear even if I knew what to say. I guess that I can boil everything down to a few simple phrases of gratitude: Every time I see you, be it a picture or an interview or movie, I can't help but smile. Smiling makes the brain happy, which makes you live longer. Thank you for being so amazing, Tom Hiddleston
Tom, You are a wonderful actor. You have a great personality and you are an eccentric person. You have incredible talent, because of you I want to become an actress. You truly amaze me and inspire me. I love you for your great wisdom. I will always be your fan. -Dakota M
Hey, Tom! Just wanted to let you know that even as far away as Hawaii you have fans who adore you. I can't wait to see you in more movies; I think you're a brilliant actor who breathes more life into characters than they already have. Much aloha, Christine
.Dear Tom, Thank you for being you and creating the army you have. Please don’t ever change ha-ha. You are an inspiration to many, and the fact you have stayed so down to earth is admirable. You really are a true gentleman. Your acting is impeccable and you are easily one of my favourite actors. Oh and obviously on top of that you are jaw droppingly gorgeous ;) ha-ha. I hope one day I finally get to meet you. Thankyou again Love and Kisses Madeline Johanna Tyrrell
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, You’re kindness as a human being is what makes you so very endearing. You clearly love people and are a very compassionate and kind person and that is why you are my favourite actor. As well as the fact that you play your characters with such understanding and feeling that you almost become them. There is no blending of you within your characters and that is the true mark of a great actor. You are going places sir, and I will be proud to say that I have been a fan for so long. Never stop Tom, never.
I love Tom Hiddleston Because: He is genuine The way he speaks to people, the way he treats them with such respect is just the kind of attitude all actors should pay attention to. Tom takes the time, no matter how busy he is with work, to talk to his fans, have a little chat, and maybe take a picture or two. He relates with us, he knows we support him and he thanks us for it. Tom Hiddleston is NOT just another pretty face. He is MORE than that. He is an inspiration. Sure, some of us Hiddleston fangirls might go a little crazy. It’s in his smile that really makes us appreciate him. Stop for a moment and look at him, not just at his fame. We may not all know him personally but, but we know just how wonderful Tom Hiddleston really is when he isn’t acting -KagsChan
There have been many actors that I've admired through out my life. People who inspire me and make me love these amazing arts that are cinema and theatre; and I am so happy to say that you are one of those. Your art keeps inspiring so many people and that (along with so many others) is one of your amazing characteristics. Thank you for being who you are, for doing what you do and for every day making so many lives better. Thank you Tom
Tom, what can I really say about you that haven't been said before? How can I express with words what I have to say. I'm not a long time fan; actually I became a fan 3 or 4 months ago. But the impact that it has on my life was impressive. You are such an optimistic and inspiring man, you look genuine and adorable. Some people just se the pretty face, but I think your fans realize how intelligent you are. What I mean is; I was at a point of my life where I was wondering who i really was...
Dear Tom, You are absolutely precious
Your smile is like a golden light Excluding a genuine elation Your eyes give off a certain glow Their happiness a contagion And when you speak, precise in dictation Your eloquence conveys your conviction Profound in intellect, yet ever invested A fanboy first and an actor second Dedication evident is laced throughout In accent imitations, and emotions Your films speak your brilliance loud and clear Though you’re too humble to hear To remain a rising star would be beneficial We beg you, please don’t reach stagnation We’ve seen your versatility, and eclecticisms Don’t let typecastings ruin your creations And when you make it bigWho are we kidding? You already have! Don’t forget us…your fans (we know you won’t) Many strive for recognition You, contra wise, have achieved perfection We hope this poem hasn’t made you turn red Now just don’t let our adoration go to your head. We love you as you are, don’t ever change, Lots of love, You’re Army Authored by Jennifer R. USA
Id like to tell Tom that he is an AMAZING actor and never ceases to amaze on screen as well as of screen. We (Hiddlestoners) are all head over heels for him and would do anything to support and help. I hope that Tom continues being a successful and wonderful person and to never change who he is right now! Lauren H ;)
.Dear Tom Hiddleston, You are a beautiful person that I love because of your thoughts, comments, voice and beliefs. Also you are quite handsome and have managed to make me swoon over you every time I hear you speak. Yours truly Life ruined me (Lisa Zou, from Toronto)
You are a great inspiration to me, Tom. I am going back to University and striving in my art because of things you have said, and now have nothing but joy and enthusiasm for my life. I love you, and I hope I can meet you someday. You have never disappointed me, and everything I see you in you make more brilliant, through raw talent and love for the art. Thank you for reminding me of my own passion for art. Bless You.
Hi Tom, My name is Wendy and I am honoured to be your fan! You are an example to us all to change ourselves and the world around us. Because you inspired me, I have sought to make myself a better friend, sister, and daughter. I admire you and your endless compassion infinitely and I hope to one day be able to be as kind and loving as you are. You are an amazing person and I hope you know it. BTW you should visit Washington State sometime! Love, Wendy.
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, You are such an inspiration to budding actors and you play every single one of your roles superbly. You are my favorite person and actor on this earth, besides that guy who invented bacon. I cannot wait for more of your works. Sincerely, Audrey Baetz, a Hiddlestoner Tom, You're an amazing guy and you reminded me why I love and respect actors and movies. Your brilliance is shown through your both your acting and yourself as a person. You are, by far, the most amazing man. I can only hope I will have the chance to meet you some day. I hope you the best in life. It may be small and new, but I run a fan page dedicated to you called Thomas William Hiddleston`s Fan Base. I know you hear this lot, but I have to say it anyway, I find you very attractive. Sincerely, Amanda P. Meyer
Dear Tom-I really admire you as a person on how you're down to earth and REAL. How I extend your gratitude for courtesy and kindness. You are quite an amazing actor that is a diamond in the rough. And that the word "hard work truly does pay off”. In the words of Emile Zola - "The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work". I also know and respect that you are a person just like me like me even though you're quite busy 24/7 where it's extremely hard to get some "me" time and I bet you get quite overwhelmed & stressed out at times throughout the day. But as they say in show business "The Show Must Go On”. And I mostly respect your privacy 100%. That you’re most entitled to have a personal life as much as possibly can. As for your love and dedication to your fans, I love how you have a boat load of respect and decency to them I've never seen a celebrity who's so in love with them, and will get face- to- face with them, talking to one individually as much as you can, taking photos and signing autographs even though your quite busy at the moment. I love how you how you encourage them to best they can be with your words of wisdom and that how many fans respect you as a person and privacy. So I say thank you for all that you do as an actor and as a person! Sincerely, Christina Gagnon, HiddlesGoddesses Twitter & Facebook Admin
.Dear Tom, I really hope that one day I can tell you this in person but for now this will have to do! (and that’s just one great thing about being a fan of yours - there are so many great people and I’ve made friends with other fans, and it’s because of this that I’m even able to write this) I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved, and not only because I think you’re a fantastic actor but I think you’re an all round fantastic person - from everything I’ve heard and seen, you’re one of the loveliest and most genuine people out there. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face, for the entertainment your characters have brought me, and for always being there as someone to look up to. You said “Never stop, never stop fighting, never stop dreaming” and you help me to try and live by that. Thank you thank you thank you!! Much love from just another girl you’ve inspired, Hettie. X
Tom You are an inspiration, thank you for showing us all the goodness of humanity. Lots of love, Angel
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your performance as Loki in both Thor and The Avengers. I cannot imagine any other actor portraying him. The depth you bring to his character is intriguing and charismatic, and I look forward to seeing you play Loki again in Thor 2. I also look forward to watching you in The Hollow Crown series when it finally airs here in the United States. I have not been this excited for Shakespeare since college! I also have to say thank you for simply being an all-around awesome person. It is refreshing how polite and humble you are, and that you are not afraid to let your inner child loose (the interview where you talk about your love of Jurassic Park instantly comes to mind). People often say, “Laugh and the world laughs with you,” but your smile and laugh are genuinely infectious. I have not smiled or laughed so much in ages. And because of you, I have made many new friends from all over the world who are also proud to call themselves Hiddlestoners. Yours truly, Jessica A. Widowski Parma, Ohio
Tom, you probably get this a lot, but you are simply magnificent! Your kindness, generosity and honesty are just some of the reasons I love you and your kindness towards us fans is also one of the great things about you. You have made me proud to be a fan, a trait I used to hide from some but now it is a trait that I am proud of and your kindness means your fans are kind, making it one of the greatest fan bases I know. You inspire me to never give up on my dreams and your mind is a marvellous thing bulging with fantastic quotes (which I always love when you post them on twitter). Please never stop being your self: a kind, caring, magnificent man with a fantastic sense of humour and great taste in music! Forever your fan, Kerri Loughney
Dear Tom, You are an awesome person with an awesome personality. Don't change. We love you just the way you are. You are an awesome actor, and I hope to meet you one day! Hopefully having a theatre degree will do that. Keep up the good work! Love from Cleveland, Ohio Danielle H.
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, words can't describe what an amazing actor you are. Also a fantastic inspiration and thanks to you, I now have many new friends that share my views and beliefs. Thank you so much. Love, Kit
Tom, as a teacher and a mother I would like to thank you for making kindness, courtesy and intelligence cool again. You may play Loki but your real life embodiment of good guys can win is FAR more resonant. I may quote Buddha and Gandhi, but YOU embody and exemplify their values making it desirable to the young generation on a global scale. Thank you! ps: thanks for making Shakespeare cool again too, every English Literature teacher thanks you. May God keep you safe and blessed always.A.Elier
Dear Tom May I say that you are just an incredible person who I adore and admire. You’ve accomplished so much and become such an amazing actor, I aspire to be as successful as you have become when I get older. The way you research and get into your characters amazes and fascinates me every time. You always seem to get a character SPOT ON in my opinion. Id just like you to know you make all the fangirls swoon, although you might have already know that, and we all really respect you. Seriously, I cannot contain how you astonish me with your acting, your personality that I see in your interviews, and how you interact with your fans. Not to mention your love for Shakespeare (who doesn’t love that man?!) sorry, I feel like im rambling on in this message, but I just want you to know that you really do make an influence to me and your fans. I wish I could say this in better words or continue on but I feel like it would take up a good page or so if I did ha-ha. Anywoodles, I hope you have a lovely day and continue to be a badass -Sincerely, Grace
Dear Tom Hiddleston, Judging by the reactions of your friends and fans, you truly are an inspiration to many. You are intelligent, tremendously talented, and unfailingly kind to your fans. You have a marvellous sense of humour, as well as an appealing mix of confidence and humility. You display a wisdom beyond your years, yet still manage a childlike wonder of the world around you. Your smile never fails to evoke a like response, and frequently makes my day. You are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. In fact, you confirm what it took years and experience for this woman to learn; that no matter how much we women love the “bad boys” (did someone say “Loki”?), that “nice” is the sexiest trait a man can possess. Just by being the admirable person that you are, you’ve made the world a better place. Wishing you the best, Kimberly Bitner
Dear Tom, I am a very huge fan of yours. As is everyone that has submitted to this book. I just wanted you to know that you have made an everlasting impact on my life not just because of your acting but because of the things you say in interviews. I remember reading one interview in particular where you stated something to the fact that you believed everyone had a voice that deserved to be heard. For so many years I would write things and just keep them to myself. I was always to scared and shy about my writing. I read that though and thought you know what. He is right. I have something to say and I should not be ashamed of it nor should I try to hide it from anyone. I put myself out there and started a blog. I also started writing movie reviews. I am submitting some of my writings to local newspapers in hopes that I get noticed. All of this I always had the ability to do before but never the courage. Thank you for those words that gave me the courage to put myself and my writing out there. Those words made me realize that not expressing myself and showing my talents is a greater crime than anything else. From the bottom of my heart and the beginning of my writing career. Thank you Tom. Though thank you isn't enough Thank you. Sincerely, Elizabeth Clark, Michigan
Dear Mr. Hiddleston You have inspired me greatly, and because of your apatite for life and passion for your art I hope to have the same enthusiasm in my life. For the longest time I had given up my passion for society, and I looked forward with only a black and white perspective; only good and bad, what I should do, and shouldn’t. It left me without a zeal for life, but as I listened to you, watched to become these characters, heard Shakespeare as I never before, I found myself wanting to find the romanticism I hadn’t felt since early childhood. I want to find my passion in the arts again, and because of your influence I now am striving to do what makes me happy, to do what the child in me desires. I believe I am becoming a better person because of it. Thank you for that. Best Wishes, Liz
.Dear Tom, Thank you for teaching me how to live a happy life, for teaching that reading Shakespeare is not lame, and show us how fantastic he is. Thank you for inspiring me (and your fans) for doing things I've never done before. You are the best teacher I have ever met. I'm proud of being a soldier in your Army. Best wishes: Zsofi from Hungary
Dear Tom Hiddleston, Hello, My name is Dawn, I am 18 and I live in Scotland. I like to read and sing and would gladly live the rest of my life doing so, however I felt I should do something productive with my time so I decided to write you a letter …enjoy! (sorry if it’s badly written I’m not very good at these things) Tom in all sincerity it is a pleasure …no wait an honour to be writing to you, I know that you’re probably too busy to read this, but to know that this is going to you is an honour in itself. Tom you have got to be one of the most EXCEPTIONAL actors’s to have ever graced the planet; You bring a new breath of life to each and every one of the characters you play, from the kind hearted Captain Nicholls in War Horse to the mischievous Norse god Loki in Thor/Avengers. You make the characters you play so much more believable that it’s no surprise to see that people love them so much. It is not only your tremendous acting that has caught my eye, but also your actions as a person as well. You’re such a handsome, humble, kind and honest young man and you have inspired so many people to strive towards their dreams, all because of your passion for what you do, You have inspired me to become a better person, to strive to do my best to get where I want to in life and I hope that one day we might get to meet in person someday. Until then it has been a privilege writing to you and I wish you all the best for the future. Your Fan Dawn Porter
Tom, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I connect with your portrayal of Loki and what an impact you’ve had on me. Please don’t get me wrong; I’m not secretly a Norse god, wandering about my city causing mischief and chaos. Not in the least. I do, however, share his seriously overwhelming feelings of abandonment and the unattainable desire to have somewhere in which he belongs. Perhaps more than anyone else I’ve ever known, real or fictional. It may sound trivial (and gosh, this is harder to write than I thought it was going to be), but I didn’t have the happiest of childhoods. That is to say, my parents were constantly fighting, making me the center of their battles, before they ultimately went their separate ways when I was a girl. It was a rough patch at the best of times, but when I was seventeen and able, I finally packed up my stuff and left it all behind. It was a good decision for me, mentally and physically, though I don’t think anyone can ever truly be prepared for how being completely alone, half away across the country from everything you know, really feels. Now that I’m almost twenty-four, it often remains distressing that I have zero contact with anyone in my family, and making friends in an entirely new place is hard, even when one doesn’t work as often as I do. My life isn’t complete gloom and doom though, I promise you. And forgive me in advance for all this angst. Good things DO happen to me, and on a pretty regular basis. I’ve got a job that I enjoy, the best dog ever, and a library of books on my Nook that can get me out of almost any bad day. I’ve even been with an amazing guy for the last five years, who I love and admire, and is able to ease my worries substantially. But when it comes to those words “family,” and “belonging,” I find that things get tricky and my emotions never fail to get the better of me. I adore my boyfriend and his family dearly, let me just say, for trying to “make me one of their own,” and taking me in when I had no where else to go; yet, my bad experiences leave me unable to fully be at peace and fill this gap I have in my heart where my mother and father should be. It makes it all too real that I am, and will always be, an outsider. To everyone. And if my blood doesn’t or can’t love me for who I am, how could I possibly expect anyone else to? It’s only when I hear you talk about Loki, do I feel any resemblance of acceptance with these problems in my life. It’s so clear to see how much you understand what he’s going through. Why he feels the way he feels and why he does the things he does. Moreover, you don’t fault him for it. He is the way he is for a reason, and that’s okay. You still love him. He’s allowed to be damaged and you make it known you think he deserves to find happiness. In a roundabout way, your sincerity makes it seem as if you’re telling ME and everyone else in my situation or one similar, the same. Thank you for that. Honestly. Thank you so much for caring. The mere thought of not being completely alone, misunderstood, and unlovable is too much for me to write and has made the largest difference in my life. Please never stop being so remarkable. All my best, Brittany Meredith Cocoa, Florida, USA
Mr. Thomas William Hiddleston, I love you. You have affected my life in such a wonderful, profound, and glorious way. I can honestly say that I do not know what my life would be like had you not entered it. I have come to think of you as something of a personal hero. You can act; sing, dance, and you love Shakespeare. You are not only gracious, humble and kind, you are also intelligent. You are what every person should strive to be. You are what I hope to be. Love, Vanya R.
Hi Tom, you’re amazing. Simply amazing. Every character you play, you play perfectly and make them so very real. You are a truly wonderful person, thank you so much for everything; we appreciate all of it so much. I’m proud to be your fan x
I think that you’re a wonderful actor and the way you can bring each character alive is outstanding, I also think that you’re such a genuine person who has taught me to reach for my dreams no matter how big or small they are :)
.Dear Tom, You are an inspiration to me for the simple reason that while you are a big rising star, and your stairway has many big steps to go, you stay down to earth, friendly and feel blessed with everything that seems to come your way. And when you can make sure an evil man is loved by millions, you know you have the talent that is indescribable and special. Keep doing what you are doing, stay as you are and you will be one of the biggest stars on earth. And for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Irene Xxx
Dear Tom, Hi! I just want to say that you are such an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many others. You are the best actor in the world and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! You are unique and there truly are no men like you. You are so full of boundless joy and radiate an aura of kindness I wish there were more people as wonderfully kind as you! Also I’m not sure if you recall but do you remember when #Hiddlestonsarmy trended? I was the one that organised that because I thought you could use something to make you smile after a long day of hard work and I’m glad to hear that it did just that. Stay gold, Tom Hiddleston! With Love, Liza G.
Dear Tom thanks for being such an amazing person and for helping me pursue my dreams. Even though we’ve never met, your cheerfulness has helped me become more outgoing in life. You did an excellent job in “The Deep Blue Sea” where your talent was incredible. Keep up the good work! I wish to meet you someday and tell you that you’re truly a blessing. Your fan, Tyra from Miami
You really are an amazing human being and you continue to make me smile everyday.
Thankyou so much Tom for reminding me why I love acting. It’s for the passion no matter the harsh probability of a career. I was going to give up my dreams of someday acting, but the love you have for it showed me what is really important so I haven’t given up.
OMG TOM I FREAKING LOVE YOU AND IF I EVER MET YOU I WOULD WEEP AT YOU FEET.
Tom I just want to let you know how unique of a man you are and you have destroyed the ovaries of many a woman. So long as you stay yourself, Hiddles’ Army will exponentially increase and ever endeavour to please you. ♥
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you’ve done for me, albeit unknowingly. To cut a long story short, I’ve always wanted to be an actor, more than anything else in the world, but my parents are the strictly “doctor or lawyer” type, and there is no budging their views. As a result, for a long time I was depressed and suicidal because I was convinced that I would end up doing something I hated for the rest of my life. My parents, God bless them; believe careers in the arts are a “waste of time”. However, my passion lies with the arts; with literature, and drama, and film. I tried to change who I was in order to fit their desires, but I soon realised it couldn’t be done. And so I got even more depressed, because I convinced myself that I was a failure to my family. But then I saw you in “Midnight in Paris”, “Thor” and “The Avengers”, and on Tumblr I read some of your quotes about never giving up and following your dreams. And even though I’ve never met you, I felt as though you were speaking to me personally. And more than anything right now, I’d like to meet you so I could say thank you in person, for giving me the confidence to follow my dream. I’m going to try and become an actor, and who knows, perhaps one day I might have the privilege of acting in a production alongside you. You’re one of the best actors I have ever had the pleasure to watch on screen, both on tv and in film. You have such a wonderful ability to show all ranges of emotion. I wish you all the best of luck in your future projects, and I will remain a dedicated and adoring fan. Catherine Andrews, 17
I want to personally thank Tom Hiddleston, not just for being such a great actor, but for being a great human being in general. He makes a lot of us want to be better people and we all look up to him. He’s always so gracious and appreciative of his fans, taking the time to sign autographs and take pictures. We joke and call him a ‘life-ruiner’ but I honestly think a lot of our lives would be sort of crap without him in them. Precious human being, he is.P.S. His portrayal of Loki made me realize why I harbour so much resentment for the rest of my family, being the odd one out for the majority of my life. While there are still a lot of hard feelings and I’m still the ‘weird one’, relationships are improving and I don’t feel like such an outcast in my own family anymore. Thanks, Tom! <3 -Crystal McCauley
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, First off, I would like to tell you that your mannerisms keep me quite entertained. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard anyone do an imitation of a Velociraptor that was as spot on as that, my friend and I were in hysterics for what had to have been at the least ten minutes. Moving on, I just want to tell you thank you for all the amazing things you do. You’re not like many celebrities nowadays that only care about themselves and the money they make. You have no idea how good that makes me feel. You just seem like the kind of guy that would be approachable and be able to carry on a good conversation with…even though I’m not entirely knowledgeable and wouldn’t know what to say half the time, but shoving that aside, I’m so thankful there are people like you in this world. Never met you before, but you’re like a member of my family (Yep. That sounds as weird as it looks, especially if you say it out loud!) Another thing that I would like to say is that you basically have kept my dream alive. Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to be a singer. I started “practicing” when I could talk and couldn’t carry a tune if my life depended on it. When I turned five, I FINALLY, and I stress this because it took FOREVER to get there, could sing the way I was supposed to and over the years, it has indeed gotten better, I’m eighteen right now, but about roughly two months ago (We’re in the month of July as of this moment, I have no idea when you’ll actually see this), I just gave up on wanting to be a singer. I just didn’t think I was good enough and that it was never going to happen. Thankfully, my friend just happened to come across the quote about the never stop dreaming and she showed it to me. After that, I actually have started to believe again and am doing everything I can to make my dream become a reality. I owe it all to you. Well, seeing as this is probably been of the most awkward letters you’ll ever read, I want to say thank you for all you’ve done and can’t wait to see what you do in the future! Who knows? Maybe I’ll get to sing for you one day. Good luck in all you do and God bless! Sincerely, Ashton Fox P.S. I’m intrigued as to what some of your ideas are for films and such. I’m sure they’d be 100% better than the stuff that put out now.
Hi Tom, you’re amazing. Simply amazing. Every character you play, you play perfectly and make them so very real. You are a truly wonderful person, thank you so much for everything; we appreciate all of it so much. I’m proud to be your fan x
You have no idea how much you have done for me. You make me uncontrollably happy and I thank you for that. You’re my hero. - Erin Phoebus
Mr. Hiddleston, I just wanted to let you know that you have literally changed my life. Before watching Thor and Avengers and your interviews, professional acting was just a far-away dream that I didn’t believe could ever happen. It was simply something that I would enjoy, IF it happened. But since being introduced to your work and your point of view on things, I’ve decided that professional acting is really what I want to do, but not only that. I’ve decided it’s something I CAN do, if I work hard enough at it. And you’ve inspired me to work hard enough. So thank you. -Jesselyn Yeager
Dear Tom, I would just love to tell you that you're probably one of the biggest influences on my life. After I became a fan of you, everything changed. I began to be more outgoing and myself. You inspired me to chase my dream and never stop moving forward. I'm now going to attend drama and do what I loved the most. Thank you, so much Tom. Never stop what you're doing and remember. We ALL love you. Sincerely, Sam
Dear Tom Hiddleston, Judging by the reactions of your friends and fans, you truly are an inspiration to many. You are intelligent, tremendously talented, and unfailingly kind to your fans. You have a marvellous sense of humour, as well as an appealing mix of confidence and humility. You display wisdom beyond your years, yet still manage a childlike wonder of the world around you.
Dear Tom, You saved my life when I was going through a difficult time. Thank you for inspiring me and staying positive. You are a phenomenal actor and I’m looking forward to see you in more films. Once again, Thank you. Marcie Paez xx
Dear Tom Hiddleston, It is an honour to be your fan and part of your army. You’re truly an inspiration. I love how intelligent and thoughtful you come off in interviews; I wish I had a tenth of your charisma. I also love how goofy you can be (especially with the other cast members of The Avengers). I mean, seriously, where did you get the idea for the “Loki’d!” video? : DAnyway, I thought I’d explain the two pictures I’m including with this message. I didn’t know what I wanted to send in my photo. I considered photo-shopping the Loki headdress onto my prom photo, in which I’m wearing a green dress, but I had no idea how to execute that. I decided that I’d replicate your Twitter photo dedicated to all the Loki lovers out there. I originally took the first photo, but then thought to myself “the purpose of his Twitter photo is to show off the Loki t-shirt.” So I then went and found a stencil and a green t-shirt and made the shirt that I’m wearing in the second photo to show off my Loki love. Also, I love your classy tweets with the “song of the day.” I thought that to end this message, I’d recommend a song for you. So after scourging my IPod, I found a song that does a great job capturing my feelings towards you. It’s called “I’m Ready” by Jack’s Mannequin. Here’s a quick look at some of the lyrics:” I’m on the verge, unravelling with every word. With every word you say, make me believe.” –Seriously, you have the best voice.” As I'm finding the words, you're getting away.” –The longer I make this, the less chance there is that you’ll actually read it. “I come undone, oh yes, I do.” –Oh yes. I do, I do, I do. “Just think of all the thoughts wasted on you.” – Yeah- a lot. It’s a good thing I’m not in classes during the summer. “And every word you say, say something sweet.” – As in “now give us a kiss.” Why was that deleted!?! “Well I'm ready, I'm ready to drop.” – To my knees and KNEEL.“I am aware, I've been misled.” –Sneaky god of mischief!” I am finding the words to say I'm ready, I'm ready to drop.” –And kneel, for I am a proud knight in your army.” I need caffeine in my blood stream; I take caffeine in the blood stream.” –And then I realize that you decaf’d it! I’m gonna look like such an idiot! “If it’s not dirty, I’m gonna wear it.” –I do what I want! Anyway Tom, thank you so much for all of your hard work. Your faithful knight,-Jennifer Hartmann
I just want to start out on how much I admire you Tom and tell you that you are amazing at what you do. When I watch you in your movies I can’t help but be automatically hooked on what’s happening. I love every movie I’ve seen you in so far and no role was less impressive, no matter how minor or major your parts were. There is always something so bittersweet in the honesty you bring to your characters, like the anger and low sense of esteem to Loki, the fear in Captain Nicholls eyes, and so on. It’s just amazing on what you can do and achieve and I admire that even though you’re this big shot actor and very busy, you still find time enough to give a few minutes to your fans’ for autographs and pictures. I also love how you never changed after becoming famous, how you still act and laugh like you’re just a regular human being and don’t really care about how people see you because of the way you act. Which is an amazing guy with a brilliant smile that could brighten everybody’s day, a gentleman who is down-toearth, extremely intelligent, and with a great sense of humor? I also want to tell you that you are a huge inspiration to me and my life. While I know I could never be an actor even though I’ve dreamed of being one ever since i was little, I have neither the schooling nor the ability of being a social butterfly with those around me, including stage fright, I knew I could do and achieve something else. I used to play the piano, I wasn’t very good since I only took a semester of the basics my first year of college, but I still loved to play the piano and tried to learn every day afterwards. After a while I gave up. I didn’t have motivation or the support that I would’ve hoped for from my friends and family and after a while most of them told me to get my head out of the clouds and look for a real job. But, after watching you and how much you progressed, by starting out in a few plays to being in a huge, and awesome, movie you inspired me to go for it again. Your quote, ‘Never, ever, let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do. Pity them for they have no imagination. Prove the cynics wrong. The sky is your limit. Your sky. Your limit. Now. Let’s dance.’ made me realize something, that I could do whatever I wanted with my life. After almost a year of nothing I started teaching myself how to play the piano again. When I did I found out that I didn’t need others support to progress and that I didn’t have to listen to the people telling me that I won’t make it very far with this as my life’s career. Because of you, I’m not letting what others say against what I’m doing stop me or slow me down from doing what I want and love to do. It’s because of you that I finally have the motivation and the drive to succeed my goal of becoming a professional piano player and hoping to be one of the best, just like you and being the best actor I’ve ever seen. So thank you Tom, you are my inspiration and my drive to be the best that I can be and I want to thank you because you gave me the courage to live my life the way I want it. I wish that I can meet you someday so I can thank you personally.
Tom, New Zealand is developing a serious case of Loki Love and our only cure is for you to visit us. Love April Cotton and all your NZ Fans.
There are so many things I want to say all at once that could go on for hours and hours, but I guess I’ll sum it up with saying how much I love you and how much of an inspiration you are to me. You are such a phenomenal actor. You put in so much energy and emotion into all your roles to the point where I feel the character you’re playing; where I see the role and not the actor (if you kind of get what I’m saying). This not to mention that you are so kind, so down to earth, and take the time out to talk with your fans. I swear you are the sweetest guy in the world! Plus you have no idea how much you have inspired me. Whether it’s to become a better person or expanding my musical tastes, I just want to say thank you. Even after you win all the awards in the world and become one of the best actors of all time, please never ever change. All in all, I’ll always be the happiest girl knowing that I am your fan. Anyway, I really hope to meet you one day. Take care and always keep your head up. Much love!-Janine
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, You are such an inspiration to budding actors and you play every single one of your roles superbly. You are my favorite person and actor on this earth, besides that guy who invented bacon. I cannot wait for more of your works. Sincerely, Audrey Baetz, a Hiddlestoner

I think his best character Loki (I know it’s not very original…) because i love when he’s bad and not sweet as him in the real life… I really like the difference ;) AND the hair is sexy. I hope he will continue his fabulous work and all his hiddlestoners are somewhere in the world!
Loki, The God of mischief, is probably one of Tom’s the most recognised characters, and why not? he plays the role of the trickster god/Jotun brilliantly. Loki is the Norse God of Mischief and also the (adoptive) brother of another Marvel hero, the blonde haired, hammer wielding Norse God Thor. Tom first portrayed the role of Loki in the 2009 marvel film Thor, his British charm and unmistakeable good looks made Loki a success with the female fans, Tom’s ability to switch emotions of his character in Thor was in a way a good show of just how well Tom can act, from playing the caring brother to Thor, standing by his side using his gift of magic to protect the realm of Asgard, his home, from war against the frost giants and it’s ruler Laufey, to the almost instant change of character when amidst to finding out he is not the son of Odin. This change brought on a whole new side to Loki, a more darker and sinister turn on what was a once caring character. Tom reprised his role as Loki in the 2012 box office hit “The Avengers”, Loki now being ever more powerful, intent on raging war on earth with the chitauri over the missing cube of power and energy otherwise known as the tesseract, In the Avengers we see Loki no longer the man we once knew in Thor, but in every way more sinister.I liked the idea of Tom playing the god of Mischief, he brought something to Loki that no one else could, it brought a balance of Tom and Loki, as there is Tom’s British charm and vast vocabulary, but the underlying evil and mischief that is Loki, but in the end the thought of the sweet and kind Tom Hiddleston playing the sexy bad boy, I’m sure got a few of the hiddlestoners a little hot under the collar. By Dawn Porter (@DawnyP94)
Loki may very well be one of my favorite characters ever. He’s got style and he does what he wants. But he’s so much more than that. He’s hurt and you just want to give him a really big hug and say “it’s ok, honey.” It’s all these sides to Loki which makes me like him so much, and Tom, you do a great job showing every one of them. –Morgan
This may sound cliché but who cares.Loki's story really hits me in the heart. I always feel for the emotionally damaged bad guys, but Loki... Loki was just so easy to relate to. Being placed 2nd best all the time to his brother, never being acknowledged for his abilities, being different. And then REALLY being different. He was never a BAD guy, he was just trying to prove himself. And Tom's portrayal of him really makes the damage feel real. I usually get too attached to characters, but with Loki it's more than that. He really sticks with me. The damage is just too much for him to deal with and he falls into despair. And in the end, when Loki tells Odin he could have done it for him and Odin shoots him down, it really hits you in here *points to heart* you know? That's just the final blow for Loki and he chooses to be the bad guy versus always being seen as second best and looked over. He just has too many bottled up feelings and they just all explode at the end of Thor but nobody understands his pain. In The Avengers, which I have seen 6 times in the theater and watched multiple times from memory, Loki shows his true darkness in his attempt to take over Earth. Although he has yet to fall into the deepest depths of his despair and hit rock bottom, which I cannot wait to see, he is still labeled a bad guy and a high threat. I'm really looking forward to Thor 2 next year.I also love Loki's 'silver tongue.' I have always appreciated the skills of verbal confusion and lies when it comes to fictional characters. It is quite unfortunate that his skills and abilities cause others to criticize him and feel he is unable to be trusted.I have the biggest soft spot for Loki than I have ever had for any character/person despite the fact he is a 'bad guy'.
Well I actually adore Loki, the way Tom portrays him is spot on! He has created a character that both you can love, understand but still see that he is the villain of the film, I actually cannot imagine anybody other than Tom playing Loki, it is unthinkable
I think his best character Loki (I know it’s not very original…) because i love when he’s bad and not sweet as him in the real life… I really like the difference ;) AND the hair is sexy. I hope he will continue his fabulous work and all his hiddlestoners are somewhere in the world!
I have the utmost respect for him, and that he's very sweet and such a gentleman. As for one of his characters, I would say Loki because I feel compassion for him, and I don't see him as a bad person.-Rose King
Loki is not an easy character to play. There are so many emotions but, you pulled it off amazingly!" – Bella
Tom, I think you’re one of the most amazing actors on the planet! I love how you just embody every single role you play, and you do it so well! It’s hard for me to decide which role of yours is my favorite, but I’d have to say that my favorite is Loki. I remember watching Thor for the first time and feeling extremely sympathetic towards Loki, especially in the scene where Loki discovers that he was adopted. Even when Loki was fighting with Thor at the end of the movie, I found myself feeling bad for both Thor and Loki. In The Avengers, Loki has truly transformed from being the God of Mischief into the God of Menace. It was really entertaining to see Loki enjoying himself more and trying to subjugate Earth, just so he can bolster his own self-worth. In both Thor and The Avengers, I thought you did an amazing job in portraying the evolution of Loki’s character. I find Loki to be a very fascinating character, one who’s a lot of fun to watch. I don’t think anyone else could play Loki as well as you do. Thank you so much for being such an amazing actor, as well as being just an amazingly sweet and talented person. I’m such a huge fan of yours, and I wish you the best of luck in all of your future projects. I am so excited for Thor: The Dark World! Love, Cathy. P.S.: Your role as Prince Hal/Henry V in both parts of Henry IV and Henry V is a very close second favorite! Oddly enough, I read Henry V in my English class shortly before we watched Thor in class. Funny coincidence, huh? :D
My favourite character that Tom Hiddleston has played, for me, would have to be Freddie from The Deep Blue Sea, This character is my favourite because Tom portrayal of Freddie is outstanding. Both he and Rachel Weisz have amazing chemistry as Freddie and Hester and their love was a thing of beauty. Seeing Tom play what was to me a very emotionally unstable and mentally scarred character such as Freddie is what I would believe to a very complex, and somewhat difficult role to play, however Tom did amazingly well. While throughout the film some would think Freddie to be a cruel and horrible man, I see him as an individual who has witnessed first foremost the deaths of his friends and comrades as well as the brutality of war and Whilst he decides to live life as best he can, such an image has stuck with him and has left him mentally and emotionally scarred for life, and I think that seeing the more fragile, emotional side of Freddie when he finds out about Hester’s attempted suicide has pushed to far over the edge that he can no longer be around her anymore ..perhaps more for her safety than his. To me this is Tom’s best performance yet. –Dawn Porter
Woody Allen made a film called Midnight in Paris, the film is set in Paris, France that tells of screenwriter Gil and his fiancé Inez. Gil is writing a novel but is lacking inspiration and so he and his fiancé Inez and her parents go to Paris on vacation, Gil is so entranced by Paris he wishes to live there, however Inez’s doesn’t support his decision. One night Gil gets drunk and decides to taka walk around Paris, at midnight he is transported back into the 1920’s where he meets some of his idols who have been long gone such as Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein. Eventually Gil begins to fall for a girl called Adriana. Every night at midnight he is transported back, but he finds that every time he does he goes back to a different point in time, and because Gil and Adriana wish to be in separate times they part ways. Gil eventually decides not to marry Inez and makes the decision to live in Paris. The film can be a little confusing as it constantly switches between past and present and most of the cast apart from Owen Wilson all have a fairly short amount of time on screen depending on the situation. The film has all-star cast including Adrien Brody as Salvadore Dali (who has a strange obsession with Rhino’s), Marion Cotillard as Adriana, Alison Pill and Tom Hiddleston as Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald and Kathy Bates as Gertrude Stein. This has to be my ultimate favourite of Tom’s works, he wasn’t in the film for long, Yet to me he was one of the most memorable characters. I love this work the most because he was very believable as F. Scott Fitzgerald, it was like Tom actually was Fitzgerald, the accent, his personality, he had everything perfect. I liked how natural everything seemed, you couldn’t see that he was acting, a truly spectacular piece of acting on his part. Also his on-screen Chemistry with Alison was perfect and I would love to see the two work together again. By Dawn Porter (@DawnyP94)
In 2011,Tom starred in the oscar nominated film War Horse, A story of a horse called Joey who gets taken to war and with all his might, fights to get back to his beloved owner Albert and get back home, throughout Joe’s travels he has met a ton of different people and this is where Tom comes in. Tom in War Horse plays the young, kind hearted cavalry officer, Captain Nicholls who buys Joey of Albert’s father to use in the cavalry to fight the Germans in the First World War. The unfortunate circumstance of this film is that although Captain Nicholls is an important character in the story he isn’t in it for long, as his character is sadly killed off when the cavalry goto war against the Germans. Tome this is one of my favourite roles that Tom has played, It is my favourite because I feel this character is a true representation of what Tom is like as a person, Captain Nicholls is a good person who will do his ultimate best at what he has been given and that is to fight in the war and help to ensure Joey stays alive, and Tom is a good person who does his ultimate best at what he had been given, whether it be a film role or meeting his fans or his charity work, I feel Tom played Captain Nicholls splendidly and like the film deserved an Oscar for an outstanding performance. By Dawn Porter (@DawnyP94)
When I first watched War Horse I was in awe of the amazing relationships that Joey has and links the people in the movie so well. Especially when it refers to Captain Nicholls. I must say I was in tears the entire movie for it truly is an amazingly well made movie and Tom Hiddleston couldn't have played his part anymore perfectly than he did. Captain Nicholls is a very strong courageous man in the movie putting the friendship of him and Joey before his very own life is selflessness, and that instead of tying the sash to himself for protection he gave it to Joey. Captain Nicholls I must say is one of my favorite characters played by Tom because he knew what the real story was about the Germans and the War yet he rode out to defend what he thought was right with swords against German machine guns. Knowing he might not live through the fight he still charged forward and with splendor and honor. I also loved how caring and loving Nicholas is towards Joey like they have their own connection in the movie its truly amazing how everyone is linked one way or another and that he drew pictures of Joey proves his loyalty and love for others. Captain Nicholls portrays Tom Hiddleston's personality so much the part of this character that its no wonder Tom played this character in such a way it'll never be forgotten and will be loved for generations to come.- Cherice DeBord
I like Magnus for a lot of reasons, the main one being that he puts up with a lot of the crap that Wallander seems to throw at him. He’s not a huge character in the show, but he definitely adds some personality to it with the sassy, sarcastic remarks; he brings something nice to the whole team there. By the way, love the hair! -Morgan
I love how strong his dedication to a role is. When he played Magnus Martinsson, he was just as amazing in that portrayal as when he played Loki. No matter the size, he puts all he's worth into the character he portrays. But it’s the fact that he’s so humble about his talent and is kind to everyone, that he always has a smile on his face. It’s that which I find that is so inspirational about Tom. He is truly an amazing person. Thanks for reading, Amber Turnbull
First of all I should confess: I started watching 'Unrelated' because of the one and only Tom Hiddleston and didn't expect much more than that. However the movie turned out to be a very psychologically interesting piece and it is always a bonus to have an interesting actor in an interesting movie. Oakley got me right away. I think he was supposed to be hot and he actually is... but what a selfish dork. There were moments when I wanted to slap him. Alpha male, my foot! Egocentric, absolutely irresponsible, careless, funny, ‘joie de vivre’, and so good looking... Well, an adolescent youngster at his best. I mean worst. I mean best. That's what I admire in Tom's work: he made Oakley so alive & real although as far as I understand this has never been of his own temper or behaviour. Moreover, Oakley is 19, and he looks 19, and he acts 19, and then I realized that Master Hiddleston was actually 26 at the moment. Such character authenticity is not a matter of makeup and hair but of a job well done. Thank you very much, Tom, honestly. Now may I slap your Oakley, please? :-)...I secretly believe that every good movie or a good book, or even a song becomes a universe in itself, with all its inhabitants alive and kicking. Thus, I truly wish that in this Unrelated world Oakley would outgrow this adolescence of his and grow up to a great man. Because he's a nice guy after all. Natasha B (@natash_balash)

Summary: A few weeks have passed since the “jolly send-off” Edward Leighton went through with his family in the Scilly archipelago. He is now getting ready to depart. As he puts in record his final thoughts he begins to realize the experience there helped him confront his insecurity more than he imagined. Author’s Notes: Edward Leighton is such a deeply complex character, often misinterpreted as single layered. Weltschmerz and quarter life crisis are there, but he is more than a bunch of insecurities and complete lack of confrontational abilities. He is deeply compassionate about everyone, and with compassion, comes an inherent passion about the world, about making things right; the burden is so great that it can only result in what is understood as sadness and despair, but no such a thing occurs. He is convinced he can help, and that requires a huge amount of hope. One of my favorite characters of all times, as usual portrayed masterfully. This is about what I hope he felt that day: a little more safe than during the holiday. I love this character very much, so I hope I’m not that far off. “Sometimes one dreams of a responsibility-free life. But that doesn't really exist because one's so interconnected to everything else.” Joanna Hogg “It’s good to keep expanding one’s horizons, in any walk of life, never mind as an actor.” Tom Hiddleston “You're packing a suitcase for a place none of us has been. A place that has to be believed, to be seen”. U2
Don’t look too far
This is important. This is what keeps me sane. As I wait for my plane to begin boarding, writing down my final thoughts in London seems to keep me away from panic. While trying to concentrate on anything but the trip that is minutes away, my mind has become a hectic land; full of rising thoughts and flashbacks. One that particularly stands out is of a time when Cynthia and I almost got lost during one holiday in Tresco. Mom and dad were upset when we got back home, I tried to explain what had happened but they wouldn’t listen. Dad just gave that disappointment stare to Cee, “You are the eldest; I thought I could rely on you”. I think that was the moment she decided to never let him down again. Maybe that’s why she questions my decision about this trip so much. I knew she wouldn’t understand, I knew dad wouldn’t understand or approve; mom is different, she is terrified of me going away to such extreme conditions for so long and leaving everything I know behind, but she will always support me. Another vision emerges from that initial memento. Being back to the isles after all those years stirred up some memories; memories of better times when we were not distanced from one another, almost on the brink of being connected by mere genetic bonds and the occasional reunion. Maybe that’s just how you see things when you are young. Now those fond memories are clouded by the utter absence of my father during the “farewell vacation” mom prepared. Perhaps it’s a good thing he never appeared; things were tense enough without him, and I know the reason he never came was because he cannot face me right now as he is most likely disappointed on my behavior that supposedly reflects badly on him; I can almost hear the words come out of his mouth, but we are both so bad at confrontations that avoiding it seems the safest choice. Still, making up those feeble excuses just to evade seeing me… it’s just hurtful… Nevertheless I can see why he and Cynthia are reluctant to this, it’s a new experience and they are scared. I will not blame them for anything. It must be hard for them too.

Don’t look too far (continued)
My mind keeps drifting onto that holiday again. Rose. Nice girl. I don’t see why not to make friends with her, not just making conversation as if I felt obligated to which is what my family thought I was doing. In the end I think she felt the same way they did. I would have appreciated if she did not leave like that, but being honest I would have done the same thing if I was able to. Chloe doesn’t see why I can’t do that. She reproaches me. “Just walk away from it” she keeps saying, but it’s not up to me. It’s like a gravitational force always attracts me to caring obsessively over things. Everyone on my family has their own unconventional and questionable way to dealing with problems, Cynthia gets passive-aggressive; mom hides her feelings; dad keeps his distance and tries not to get involved; and I leave the room when things get too stressful and hide myself to cry my anxiety away. Those are the ways we have grown accustomed to. Wearing your heart upon a sleeve is not always the easiest thing to do, although it has its advantages. How else would I care enough to go and try to save the world? Ok, that sounded extremely pretentious. It is not my intention to save the world, but unlike mom, I believe there are no lost causes; everyone can make a difference, even the slightest action can be incredibly powerful so why not do all you can? We are all part of the same world so it’s a collective responsibility to keep things working for everyone. The devastating truth is we do not live in an egalitarian society, so the more people who commit to correcting that, the sooner we all will experience a much needed change. Those are all the logical reasons, yet something feels strangely amiss.
Working on a bank, an institution “more dangerous to liberty than standing armies”, was exacerbating the issue. The cold, mechanic embrace of the monetary system does things to your bone marrow and volunteering for an honorable cause could lessen the malady. Call it being cavalier with my future as Cynthia so kindly states it, but I am not going to conform to the condition of things just because the general expectation for someone my age is to be working/earning/spending, completely ignoring the world that unfolds around me. I can help NOW that I am young and have the chance. Take it now or regret it for the rest of your life. They have started calling the first passengers in, and suddenly a wave of fear crashes on my chest and makes my temples throb. What am I doing? No, no, no. Don’t panic. I shouldn’t have such thoughts at this moment, since I have been exhaustively instructed on what to do, how to approach the people in Uganda given that they have a completely different culture and they reject most of the ways of the western civilization. I have also been mentally prepared to face some of the shocking experiences I am about to witness. I know the statistics, I know all the numbers, I have the theory memorized by heart but I doubt it will make a difference. No matter how much you prepare yourself to face it, it will hit you in the face like a tsunami. Yes, that unsettling image is what causes the panic.

I just noticed a veiled girl sitting right next to me. She is beautiful and her eyes have a spark of youth and hope that make my heart jolt. I don’t know what my current expression was, but she was staring at me, and when I met her gaze she gave me the sweetest smile, as if she was saying “don’t worry, everything will be alright”. Now I remember why I’m doing this: The small things that make life worth living. Change one person and you change the world. As I write this down the fear dissipates. I’m still going to miss everyone so much. Chloe, my sweet Chloe… She understands why I am doing this, and she’s been so fantastic about everything; she didn’t even get upset about not being invited to the holiday. 11 months aren’t going to be easy on either of us, but I know we will make it through. She has agreed to be in charge of sending all of our friends’ messages. Mom said she would mail me the post-it notes, and it may sound silly but I’m incredibly happy about her gesture. Cee will keep in touch, I’m sure. She acts tough, but inside she’s even more vulnerable than me, and she cares profoundly about my well-being. As for dad, I highly doubt he will engage in conversation, but who knows. There is a hint of hope in me that says he cannot remain as vacant for much longer, but it may be just wishful thinking. I find it odd that one of the mails I’ll be thrilled to get is Christopher’s. Maybe it is related to the whole artist sensitivity vibe, but he seemed to comprehend me in ways people closer to me never did, and I value his advice greatly. “Though it up” begins today. I’m still trying to make some sense out of the dream I had about dad waiting, and me being late. I don’t want to be late. I don’t want him to feel disappointed on me. Hopefully when I’m back I’ll be more equipped on experience to sought that one out. It’s time for me to carry on, to become part of the mass that moves towards the engines, to continue pushing forward to the rest of my existence, one that will lead to a better tomorrow , if not for me, for someone else, and that is great news, for me. Lastly, Christopher’s words are still buzzing in my head: “It’s never lost. It’s all accumulating, building up in intensity”. That day I wasn’t sure, and I am still not sure; I will probably never be sure. Am I wrong on what I’m doing? I don’t know. Is this a huge mistake? Somehow it doesn’t feel like it. All I know is that I can certainly feel the intensity building up. I’ll just close my eyes and dive in, for the first time. Walk on and stay safe tonight.
All I can say to this is, is that it completely defines Henry and all his trifles with wars and hi father. It shows his compassion and humor for all things good. He may act childlike at times but when it comes to the time when he must stop and become a man in his fathers eyes, he turns into a completely different side of himself with honor and valor. No matter the hardships he still pressed on and kept to his word as said in my favorite saying above. Tom Hiddleston has the exact same characteristics as his counterparts in all his movies but Henry just shines, beyond any words to describe the shear motivation from Shakespeare and he portrays Hal as a part of himself as well he puts his love and compassion into that character and Tom is an immovable force. It shows in everything he's done and his heart is in it some actors will not know that or know how to do that but Tom has mastered it. Love ya Tom keep it up your my inspirational hero much love xoxoxo -Cherice L. DeBord or cherice@chericedebord
Henry IV Act 1 Scene 2 I know you all, and will awhile uphold The unyoked humour of your idleness: Yet herein will I imitate the sun, Who doth permit the base contagious clouds To smother up his beauty from the world, That, when he please again to be himself, Being wanted, he may be more wonder'd at, By breaking through the foul and ugly mists Of vapours that did seem to strangle him. If all the year were playing holidays, To sport would be as tedious as to work; But when they seldom come, they wish'd for come, And nothing pleaseth but rare accidents. So, when this loose behavior I throw off And pay the debt I never promised, By how much better than my word I am, By so much shall I falsify men's hopes; And like bright metal on a sullen ground, My reformation, glittering o'er my fault, Shall show more goodly and attract more eyes Than that which hath no foil to set it off. I'll so offend, to make offence a skill; Redeeming time when men think least I will.
Mr. Buxton's only child, William is bright and capable but, having dropped out of Cambridge when his mother fell terminally ill, he now struggles to find direction for himself without her gentle guidance. What is certain is that he has no interest in his father's political ambitions for him. He's far more excited by the technological and scientific advances of the modern age and engineering in particular. But standing up to his formidable father and forging his own way will prove to be the greatest test to his character. ove the passion and the love he has for Peggy whom is an insecure woman who doesn't have anyone but her mother and brother. When the train accident happened it showed how much he truly loves her and how he cares about others before himself. Again Tom Hiddleston has brought his own passion and love into this character and it shows throughout the whole 2 episodes of Return to Cranford. Tom has done such an amazing job in this show though it was short. It was heart warming and brought me to tears in the fact that his father wouldn't let him marry Peggy and that her own brother betrayed her. But in the end I loved the magic show the most and how it brought everyone together in the town after such sadness of all those whom died in the train accident. My favorite saying from the movie was “How can a town Survive after so much” and it was answered with, “Love Mr. Buxton, Love is the answer.” Tom Hiddleston - All I can say is I know how Peggy feels and I connected with that character and can understand the pain of her loneliness. But more so Tom you did such an amazing job at playing as William and it shows in the passion you put into each and every character you've ever played. You always put your heart into everything you've accomplished and all I can say is your truly amazing and a strong person to follow your dreams with such passion and love. Keep at it Tom your fans Love you and are always here for you never forget how many lives you've changed including my own. You have helped me remember why I will never give up or give in and I will follow my passion with love and hope like you have thank you for being you Tom. -Cherice L. I enjoyed hearing about your Unicef trip recently and it really opened my eyes. It’s just a humbling reminder to never take for granted for what you have and to always look out for others and find ways to help them. Your work has inspired me to really focus more on the work I do in my community, and I recently got accepted to be a research assistant for a program that focuses on poverty and hunger around Chicago (I also wrote about this in my letter, which is somewhere else in this book), so thank you so much for that. -Morgan
Dear Tom Hiddleston: My name is Agostina, I´m 21 years old, and I am from Argentina. I often think on what I could say if I ever met you personally and my mind goes blank. It´s not that I don’t have anything to say to you, but it’s just that I think I’ll never be able to put into words all the things that I’d love to say. I think this is the eternal struggle between one’s mind and one’s mouth: what so say and how, as one’s mind (and heart) holds so many feelings and thoughts. Well, I know I will never be able to express everything that I want to, but I’ll try. Every since I saw your performance in Thor, I became a fan, as you are one talented, charming, articulate, humble, inspiring man. Thank you for being who you are, thank you for being a real human being, thank you for endless kindness and devotion your fans, thank you for your amazing performances, and thank you for touching of all our lives, in so many different levels. As I am a social communication college student, who dreams to become a film producer, your work, and your love and passion for it, has inspired me like nobody else’s. Now, I am determined to fight for my dreams, I am determined to live life in my own terms, I am ready to enjoy every day as if it was my last, and I am willing to love and laugh until my heart explodes or until the world crushes (whatever might come first..hahaha). AND IT´S ALL thanks to your tweets, your interviews, your continuous ways to keep on surprising and touching us, your fans.THANK YOU TOM!! With love, Agostina Beneventano (@ago2911) p.s: YOU Sir, deserve all the pudding in the world! Haha p.s (2): By the way, you own my heart.
So it all started on Tumblr. I saw people talking about Loki from the Avengers, but I wasn’t sure why. I believe that I only truly understood when I saw the movie. From then on, I was smitten. My mother thought that I was crazy for liking the “scary guy with the horns,” but I showed her a picture of him (minus the Loki costume), and I think she understood a bit. I did some research about the films that he was in, and I watched them. So far, I have seen parts of Suburban Shootout, Wallander, and Archipelago. I’ve also seen Henry V, War Horse, The Avengers, and my own personal favorite, The Deep Blue Sea. Whenever I’m feeling down, I watch the Loki’d video and the silly loon makes me giggle. Every interview I’ve seen of him has made me smile. He inspires me to be nicer to people and to always have a kind word to say. Most of all, I’d like to thank him for being the fantastic man we all admire. I wish nothing but the best for him in his career and personal life. Words cannot express how much I adore him. Tom, if you’re going to read this, let me tell you this: never change. You have no idea how much you mean to me and all of the other fans. We support you and love you for who you are. Good luck with your career and don’t be afraid to be yourself!
Greetings Tom, i am Victor. I’m a huge fan from a very small east European country called Moldova. I’m a huge fan of your movies, you’ve always inspired me and you’re one of the reasons i love cinematography so much! Although there’s no opportunity to study films and acting in my small country, it became a sort of hobby for me, I am also editing music videos and a beginner in photography (using my Cannon 1100D). I’m also the owner of one of the first and biggest fan sites dedicated to your amazing movies. The 1st movie i saw you in was “Miss Austen Regrets”, and I saw it on a Russian TV channel. Afterwards i decided to check out more of your films. You’re always at the top of your game; your acting is never forced and very natural. You’re one of the few true actors who really influenced my priorities in life. I wasn’t that much into movies before, but you, Russell Crowe and Christian Bale really made me love movies! My favorite character which you’ve played is Loki. I think it’s a unique multilateral and complex character. One always questions his actions, understanding that it’s not hate or anger that generates his decisions. It’s not the typical villain. Your portrayal of Loki is perfect, and I can’t imagine someone else playing him! I also loved your portrayal of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Scott being one of my favorite writers! When reading a good book, you can sense the altitude and character of the writer, and the way you played him was very close to the way i imagined him to be! Thank you for all your hard work, and never stop being as awesome as you are! With respect Victor
Hi, my name is Stefany Bub, I live in Brazil. I am a Brazilian fan. I love your work and your characters. Since I watched Thor, The Avengers, war horse, turned a Hiddlestoner. My favourite character is Loki. I love the colour of your eyes, blue as I've never seen the same. I hope that one day I'll meet you, I mean, turn your friend, not just another fan. Are you one of the best actor in the world (and is the most beautiful). You are fantastic. But what I mean is that I have a dream to be a fantastic actress like you. I do not speak English, translate it on google, I'm sorry the mistakes. I think you'll understand. My life is not easy now, but just thinking that you will read this letter, my heart rejoices. Will I ever meet you? Will I be able to give you a hug? Will we ever come to Balneário Camboriú, SC? (difficult, not impossible) (indirect, imagine ...) If a day comes to Brazil, I want to go to meet you,, but if this happens, do not be alarmed, I am very shy. Close to people like you, with the same talent as you, I hardly speak, I am extremely shy. A simple "hi", even if it through Internet (My twitter: @Stefany_Dedei) already make me very happy.
Hello, I'm a fan, I know we're many :3. It's very rare to come across such a welcoming fan base like Tom Hiddleston has and become part of it. Well my story started last year when I saw Thor then shortly War Horse. I loved the acting coming from Tom Hiddleston, it was fresh, witty, charming, you could easily get attached to the characters he portrayed and relate with them. Loki, in his many shades of grey stuck with me. A couple of months after, I was at work and in my break visiting a couple of website and I've stumbled upon an interview of Tom. Back in those days, I worked at a multinational company, giving phone calls, doing excels and feeling miserable having had to cut on my free time I used to dedicate to writing, video editing and blogging. ''The sky is your limit, your sky, your limit''. It made me smile, a goofy smile and after a few weeks I quit my job and got back to what I used to do and enjoy. I write reviews for movies, TV shows for a Romanian website, I edit videos once more and on July 6th this year, I've created the FB page Hiddleston's Army Romania. It was amazing to see the support and the buzz coming from the fans. Tom Hiddleston is not just a brilliant actor but also an amazing person who inspires many of us. It's hard to pick from his roles and characters because each and every one of them is unique in the way he portrays them. I'm also a huge fan of his work on the If poems collection. I could say it's a tie between Loki and Henry V. It's the fragility, the look in his eyes when delivering lines. It's the mix of humor, sadness, anger and mischief. At this moment, I could say Tom Hiddleston brought the attraction of younger generation for William Shakespeare's work. It's not every day when I come across so many tweets and Facebooks statuses of support, curiosity and rediscovering the work of the Bard and it's also Tom's great talent and compassion given to his work that made it happen. Hopefully, like every fan I believe, I hope one day to meet him, maybe Tom will visit Romania or a movie he'll be cast might be filmed in Romania. Who knows ;) Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRGMDqu7044 https://www.facebook.com/HiddlestonesArmyRomania https://twitter.com/hiddlesarmyro http://ioananix.tumblr.com/ reviews of the Hollow Crown; Henry V: http://ioananix.tumblr.com/post/27762055139/review-the-hollow-crown-henry-vwe-few-we Henry IV part 2 http://ioananix.tumblr.com/post/27253544000/hollow-crownreview-tom-hiddleston Henry IV part 1 http://ioananix.tumblr.com/post/26758212999/the-hollow-crownhenry-iv-part-1-let-there-be Hugs, Ioana
Hi Tom, I’m Amanda Hogan (aka Buffyfan145 on Twitter) and I’m a writer from Columbus, Ohio. You are such a great actor and ever since I saw “Thor” last year I had to find your other films and I’ve loved them all! Your performances are just amazing and you are so talented! You’re also one of the nicest actors I’ve ever seen from watching your interviews and reading your Tweets. You’ve also inspired me with your comments on believing in yourself and going after what you want to do in this life as I write my novels. I love writing and I’ve already self-published my first novel and am working on two more. I’m hoping for the best and we’ll see what happens. Wishing you all the best in your upcoming projects and in the future! God Bless, Amanda
Tom, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you and your work. I discovered you as Loki in Thor, but have seen you grow as an actor in Avengers, Midnight in Paris, The Deep Blue Sea, and The Hollow Crown. Even looking backward in your career in Wallander, Unrelated, and Archipelago I could see that you are something special. You bring these characters to life with such passion, yet it seems effortless as if acting were as natural to you as breathing. You can have a scene where you do not speak a word, yet your eyes and body language say it all. It's a rare gift for an actor to have and you are one of very few that have that gift. Your diversity is also astounding as you can bring Shakespeare to life in one second and then be doing Robot Chicken in the next! You've also opened my eyes and ears to inspiring quotes and music that I have never heard of and I am greatly appreciative of that. You are a compassionate person who takes time for his fans and for that I cannot say that I am ashamed of being a "Hiddlestoner"! I look forward to seeing you in future projects and I hope that one day you will be rewarded for your fine work. If not, just know that you are appreciated by your fans and that we support you in all you do. Keep on being you Tom! You're amazing! Love, Celeste Santiago aka La_Loki_Ta on Twitter
Dear Tom, On May 4, 2012 I walked into the movie theater to see The Avengers with my husband and two kids. I had absolutely no idea who you were at the time. But as the movie progressed, I began to feel drawn to this Loki character. I found myself saying - to myself "Who the HELL is THAT actor and where has he been all my life?" Your performance was really amazing. I do think it's what propels the movie and what brings people back to it time and again (the kids and I went to see you again a few weeks later in 3D!) I have since seen everything I can get my hands on that you have starred or costarred in. If the BBC would just have The Hollow Crown series here in the US my life would be complete! But I will have to wait...and wait I will. So yes, I had to know more about you and well, you made me just fall into a mad crazy celeb crush the likes I have not felt since I was about 15 years old. So thanks for that, as you see, I am well past 15. I hope I will someday have a chance to meet you. But if not, this 40 something nurse and mom has a crush that will keep sending me to see all your movies in the future. You sincerely seem like one of the nicest people ever and boy, doesn't the world need more of those kinds of people. Thank you for entertaining us! Fondly, Maggie Bradley (known on your Twitter feed as mbradleyrn) Nurse, mom, wife, dedicated Hiddlestoner and huge TWH fangirl
Hi Tom, I'm Leslie Anne (@Fan_Girl_101 on twitter) from the Philippines. You're such a great actor. You're also sweet, and kind. I first saw you in you movie "Thor" and you are incredibly amazing. I also saw Archipelago, Avengers, War Horse, Midnight in Paris and also the Hollow Crown. I'm very impressed in all your work! I really hope that you could come to here in the Philippines because I haven't seen you yet in person. And as far as I know, you have hundreds or maybe thousands of fans around the globe that supports you. You're such a skillful actor. And one last thing, you're amazing just the way you are and i love it. ^.^ God bless you, Tom. Take care. And I wish you happiness in your life and in all your work. ^.^ Love, Leslie Anne ^.^
My Hiddles moment came during the Stark Tower scene in The Avengers, when broody Loki strolls across the room and I thought 'Oh my God, that villain has the nicest smile I've ever seen!'. Since that moment I've loved that smile, and Loki and Tom Hiddleston. He's an amazingly versatile actor and a genuine gentleman in the industry. He's a credit to himself, his work and his fans. And I'm reminded of this every day, because every time I receive a text message my phone shouts "LOKI'D" at me! Tom, on behalf of myself and the ginormous fanbase I've come to know, I wish the very best for you and your career, you deserve it. Stacey Dolan
The first time I had heard of Tom Hiddleston was when the trailer of ‘Thor’ was released. I had been waiting for the trailer for weeks, and was really excited to see the movie because I was very interested in Norse mythology and Marvel movies. Loki had always been one of my favorites even before Tom Hiddleston portrayed him. When I saw him for the first time, during the few seconds he was actually in the trailer, for some reason he just seemed to grab my attention. So I looked him up, and began to discover Tom. I looked at a few websites, and found some interviews. Now normally I don’t like watching interviews, but that time I was curious, and decided hey, why not? I am very glad I did. Soon, I was watching ‘Unrelated’, ‘Wallander’, and ‘The Gathering Storm’. My interest grew, and Tom quickly made his way up my list of favourite actors, solidifying his place as number one after ‘Thor’ finally came out. I will forever be grateful to Kenneth Branagh who cast Tom as Loki, the role he played when I discovered him. I am extremely proud to be a Hiddlestoner, and that pride grows with each passing day. There could be no kinder, humbler, and brilliant person, and he deserves all the happiness I could wish him.- Ashley Van Elswyk
This is the first time I ever send a fan letter to anyone. So I wasn’t sure how exactly I should’ve started it. I must’ve written it and deleted it a million times, but alas… here we go ;) I’m pretty sure you’ve received a million letters with adoring words and much love. Well, mine’s kind of like that too. To be honest, I haven’t seen all of your movies. I became aware of your existence with the movie War Horse, and then later in Thor and the Avengers. And I deeply congratulate you on your enormous talent and charisma. However I have been closely watching your work regarding UNICEF. And I must I say your blogs almost made me cry. I had always been aware that malnutrition and other major problems were happening; but I never imagined it was at that great scale. Every time I read the blogs, I was trying to imagine what that must’ve been like for you. It’s one thing to see it on television and occasionally read about it in the paper, but to actually be there, to actually speak with them, to actually see in their faces their pain and suffering… well that takes both Heart and Courage, Mr. Hiddleston. Why Heart? Well, because without one, what reason was there to reach out? Why Courage? Like I said before, it’s one thing to read about it, than to actually see this first hand. Not many take the time to do what you did (and still are). Thank you for caring for those who are not as fortunate. I also wish to congratulate you on how much love you show your fans. That’s something that I frankly don’t see every day. They are loyal to you because you are loyal to them. I hope you continue on making us proud and keep giving us more characters to love! Thank you for your bright smile and for wanting to share with us, the actor, the humanitarian, and the occasional loon (which we all have inside). Sincerely thank you and God Bless all the way from Puerto Rico; Nairoviz Grajales (@zivorian on twitter)
How I Became a “Hiddlestoner” A New Memoir by Morgan Smith So, this story of how I became what’s called a “Hiddlestoner.” It’s never something that I planned, but I never regret a single day of being a fan of the wonderful, amazing Tom Hiddleston. I really became a fan of Tom Hiddleston when I first saw Thor when it came out in 2011 and I thought that Loki was the most amazing fictional character ever. Throughout most of the movie, I thought Loki was, pardon me, a little shit. But I still found myself loving him all the same because he was such a complex character and Ii could see that he was hurt, and I felt for him. Seeing the Avengers only made me a bigger fan. By now, I knew about who Tom was as more of a person, and I loved that he was a total sweetheart in real life, but could play this emotionally damaged, and slightly insane, character. To me, that is true talent. So, by now, I could call myself a Tom Hiddleston fan, a Hiddlestoner, a fandom I fully embrace. Back in October, I made my first successful Twitter account, which helped get to know more fans, and which has made this all the more wonderful. I even now meet the Urban Dictionary’s criteria for what constitutes a “Hiddlestoner,” which is pretty amazing I think. Overall, it’s been a great experience and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Doing what I want by celebrating Friday in my Loki shirt.

Tom Hiddleston Fanpage Germany The site was made especially for the Germans and other fans of Tom Hiddleston ~saskia
In the film industry I think that few people can be defined friendly, cheerful, loyal, helpful, lovers of life, exciting, smart, talented. In the world of show business few people always have a beautiful and bright smile that shines on the face, behave humbly and are willing to help others. Few actors are able to bring fans to tears and to make feel inexplicable and beautiful emotions with their works...movies. There are very few people who are able to make the sun shine and warm people's hearts with few words and advices. One of those amazing and rare people is definitely TOM HIDDLESTON. Impossible not to fall in love and not be charmed by his peerless skill and talent .. not that by his extraordinary, refined and tasteful beauty
Tom Hiddleston-The boy with green eyes We called this page in that way because we love Tom with green eyes. He wear a lot of contact lents of differents colors, so, please, don't tell us that his eyes are blue, green, grey, brown... Italian Fan Page, but we talk in English too :)
For all people that appreciate the awesomeness that we know as Tom Hiddleston. Admins: Lady Loki'd (Creator) Mrs.Hiddles (Creator) Prince Hal (Creator) :3
To Tom Hiddleston, First of all you are the most awesome person in the whole entire world....personally I think your way better than Justin Bieber or Yogi Bear :-). I admire your acting talents and I think you are brilliant at acting. you are very kind to your fans which I really like and I think you have the most funniest personality ever. Which means you are a great role model and a inspiration to many people including myself. I have made a page on twitter which is @HiddlesLoon. I named the page 'The Hiddles Loon Family' because we are more than fans we are like a huge family. For example when we vote (awards...ect) we don't just vote for the sake of it we vote like we are in a big army...like Loki's Army but instead we act like a huge family. Also when you went to Africa #Tom_UnicefUK us fans/Hiddles Loon Family members supported you throughout the whole trip! And organised many donation games for the UNICEF UK which I'm sure you have heard about. Or when we trended #HappyBirthdayHiddles world wide we did it in a huge family gathering and it went to a big success..... woohoo! I hope in the future or one day you will follow this page on twitter because I would be very proud and honoured :) Besides from that I really love the characters you have played so far. Such as 'Loki' because he is a cheeky monkey who is trying to take the throne and I think that's pretty cool :-). I also like Magnus because he has golden curls which everyone LOVES! You are cool don't let haters bring you down because they are not worth a second of your time :) xx Lots of love and respect from myself and your fans xx P.S Keep calm and eat jelly beans
You touched my heart long before I created a Twitter account in your honour. On August 5, 2012 I posted my first "fan reaction" to a tweet of yours. The purpose of this account is to quote the incredibly amazing, funny, intelligent, sweet, and slightly cheeky things your fans have to say about you. I hope you'll have a look, but it's enough for me to know that you may be made aware that I've compiled compliment after compliment, well wishes, and just endearing silliness that you've inspired in your fans. Thank you kindly, Mr Hiddleston. Autumn [of @HeroHiddleston]
Hiddlestonia was created on January 5, 2012 to connect fans around the world. Hiddlestonia is a land where everyone is Hiddlestoner and we have pudding for everyone. Here we can share our love and experiences. I thank you Tom for this! This place is lovely because of you. Love One Another!
I'm a huge fan of Tom since Wallander, those days not a lot of people knew about him and the internet wasn't very familiar with him, just a couple of interviews and a few pictures. And as we know after Thor, everything changed. For some reason I started reading everything related to him, interviews, notes in the press, info about every event that he attended, everything you name it. I've watched every video about Tom on Youtube (and not on Youtube), I swear, I'm not kidding. It is like if I had a master's degree on Tom Hiddleston. Before you say something, I would like to point that I have a life, I go to college and I go out with my friends and guys (I'm a girl btw). But my master's degree on Tom Hiddleston is my hobby, my escape for the routine, and I LOVE IT. I love being his fan. A couple of friends (also Hiddlestoners) encouraged me to open this account, and I said "why not?". The name came out because of the books, I don't want that anyone feel offended, I thought it would be funny. One of the reasons to open this account was to help other fans to know more about Tom, and of course the main reason is because I love Tom Hiddleston, enough said. I am very proud to be a Hiddlestoner and I love knowing everything I can about him (of course, without crossing the line and respecting his privacy), and I'm still learning everyday. I hope that this doesn't sound like I'm a crazy obsessed fangirl, because I'm not!! hehehe. Everything I do it's with all due respect to Tom. With love @Hiddles4dummies
Hello. This is @hiddleskorea :) Tom's Korean Fan page @hiddleskorea was created on 25th August, 2012. The base of this fan page is love and support for Tom Hiddleston. In 2012, Tom was not really popular in Korea. He was just known as Loki of "The Avengers". So I decided to create a fan page account for him. @hiddleskorea goal is to be a great guide for Tom's Korean Fans. Translating much information of Tom, and looking for new pictures, nice events and tweeting them is an exciting thing for me. Tom is rising fast and @hiddleskorea is rising too. Now he has a lot of Korean Fans! I am so glad to run Tom's Korean Fan page. Love eternal respect for Tom Hiddleston
I made the account because I love Tom Hiddleston and I think he should know that. And I think the more Hiddlestoners the better.
I always tried being strong for my friends. I constantly would check up on them seeing if they were okay, I’d give them guidance and advice on certain things; I even would go out of my way to make breakfast or lunch for them if they hadn’t eaten. But, with me checking up on my friends, who would be there to check up on me? I feel into a depression of sorts in summer of 2012 where I began feeling utterly dispirited, lonely and angry all the time. I felt like I wasn’t worth it and I slowly began to spiral down into an abyss of self-hatred and bitterness that seemed to never end. Until, one day, I was watching War Horse. I was captivated by the movie in whole but, there was one character in the film that caught my eye. The actor that played Captain Nicholls was so into his role. The emotions he portrayed he seemed to almost be feeling himself. I remember my heart feeling like it was twisting in my chest, seeing someone play a role with such intensity and compassion; that was something special to see. I did some research on the actor and found out, it was a British actor named Tom Hiddleston. I dove into more research about Tom and eventually came across his twitter page. I let my insides swirl with emotion. Here was a man who was intelligent, loved Shakespeare (and as seen in many interviews he loved quoting said playwright), was incredibly polite, beautifully kind, and immensely caring. I’ll be honest, I fell in love. Tom brought me out of the darkest place in my life by just being himself. He showed me, without realizing it, that it’s okay to be caring and to always walk around with a smile. But, most importantly, he told me to love my life. I made my twitter page to be closer to Tom, in a sense. His ‘Songs of the Day,’ his quotes, all of his tweets just brighten up my day even further. I am truly humbled being a part of the Tom Hiddleston fandom. Lots of Love, Christine from Canada
I met many great friends/supporters of Tom Hiddleston on twitter. And they are from all over the world. I told them how little attention Tom Hiddleston is getting in the Dutch Media, and also that I felt I was the only Tom fan on Twitter but that could not be the case. Suggestions were made that a Dutch fan page for Tom on Twitter could be of help in finding Dutch fans. And that I could help support Tom (and Marvel/Luke/Unicef) by having a Dutch account. Never thought it would come of the ground. But have to admit that is fun. And I can indeed support him through the account and I have made some awesome Dutch fans. Regards, Irene
I would love to meet him (and if I'm outrageously lucky, befriend him) someday, because I think he is just an amazing and inspiring and wonderful person, and he really just makes me grin a lot all the time. I guess you can say it wouldn't be quite enough to meet him, I'd really love to know him, as a person. :)-Maddy
The Tom Hiddleston Effect fan page tries to explain the Hiddleston phenomena with fan art, memes, gifs, and news, mixed with witty comments from your humble narrator and resident fangirl. We may never figure out the phenomena, but we try anyway in the name of Tom Hiddleston, Hiddlestoners everywhere, and of course...Science!

We all know you’re a fan of music by the way you tweet your Song of the Day on Twitter. Sorry about that), Below, and also in the bag with the book you will find a compilation of songs that remind us of both you and Loki. We hope you enjoy <3

Tom, You’ve inspired many people in many different ways but for me personally and a few other people, you’ve inspired me to write again. Below are a few fan fictions based on your characters. Lots of love from me <3
"Like Pulling Teeth" is set 6 months following the Avengers film, with another plot to dominate the Earth as well as the Nine Realms. The reception I've received for it has been excellent, and it is my greatest piece to date: http://m.fanfiction.net/s/8719623/1/Like-Pulling-Teeth -Vi "The Glory Days" is set 20 years prior to Thor, and is about the brothers and some of their adventures with the Lady Sif and the Warriors Three. It combines film universe with some comic references as well: http://m.fanfiction.net/s/8883058/1/The-Glory-Days -Vi "Expectations" is for The Deep Blue Sea, with a perspective on Freddie's irritation in the time spent away from Hester. It does contain language: http://m.fanfiction.net/s/9010396/1/Expectations -Vi
You probably don’t remember me, but I was one of the fans in Detroit who caught you at six in the morning when you were coming back. You got out of the car and saw me and I was just frozen there for a minute and I could tell you knew I was a fan and I must have looked like such an idiot. I was just starstruck. You looked so tired, and I felt so bad and I apologized like twenty times for inconveniencing you. I was stuttering so much, all the things I had planned on saying that were so eloquent were just gone with the wind. and when I said something about how amazing you were and how you had such great acting talent you said, “That’s really all I am is acting” and I wanted to say, no tom, you’re so much more, the dancing, the singing, the way you are so sweet to all of your fans, your modesty and your compassion towards your characters, your beautiful face and all the other things that make you amazing are so much more than acting, it takes more than being a good actor to make all these women love you so much. I really wish I had been coherent enough to say this to you. I wish I could have told you that you are my idol, and that you are nothing short of awe-inspiring and that the reverence and respect I hold for you is so unimaginably great. And I really wanted to thank you for blessing us with your presence in Detroit and also for giving me the opportunity to make such great new friends while we waited outside for you. When you came out of your car I was the only one there, and I got all of the attention that you had to give, and it was wonderful that you were willing to spend as much time with me as you did, as tired as you were. I had waited for hours. And the wait was worth it, the lack of sleep was worth it. And when you half crouched down to hug me I felt honoured, honoured that you adjusted yourself to be on my level. One of the things I was most afraid of was that although you were being kind, you weren’t very enthusiastic, or enjoying yourself because you were so tired... And then you insisted that we get a picture of us hugging because you actually cared and were trying to make this special for me. You stood there for a good ten seconds hugging me not like we were complete strangers, but old friends. The fact that you were so exhausted, but still tried to make it more than just a quick picture and autograph, made me feel important, as if I wasn’t just another one of millions of fans. Even though I am. Thomas William Hiddleston, you are an angel and I hope you continue to grace this world with your presence and talent and kindness for many years to come. Bless you <3 ~Arianna Gelderloos
Dear Tom, Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to stop and chat with your Detroit fans. Meeting you made my life and I have been so inspired to make my dreams come true. I hope to one day meet you again when I’ve become much more worthy of your time and attention. Again, thank you so much! Aggie Marchel (@theonlyAggie on twitter!)

Pudding Recipe: Cookie Dough Bites! By Morgan (@MorganMoriarty)
Tom, I hear that pudding is one of your favorite things out there, and, since I learned that “pudding” is an all-encompassing term for dessert in the UK, I’d have to say that pudding is also one of my favorite things out there. With that in mind, I’d like to share with you one of my favorite recipes that is super easy to make and is super delicious! But make it for family or friends, because this makes a lot. Unless, of course, you want to eat all these by yourself, which is also fine
Ingredients: 226 g/1 cup salted butter, softened 110 g/1½ cups packed light brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 256 g/2 cups flour 6 ounces miniature chocolate chips (or however many chocolate chips you want to put in)
Directions: 1. Cream butter and sugar together using a hand-held mixer. 2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well -- use your hands to get it together the best. 3. Roll into 1-inch balls. 4. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes. Dip in chocolate, drizzle with chocolate or eat as is -- equally delicious no matter what! 5. Let stand at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving. 6. Store in the refrigerator
In the end, they look like this!
Double Chocolate Pudding Pie Recipe By Cherice Debord Ingredients 14 graham cracker squares (7 full sheets) 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin 1/3 cup boiling water 2/3 cup sugar, plus 1/2 teaspoon 1/3 cup cocoa 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/8 teaspoon salt 3 cups 1 percent low-fat milk 2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/4 cup heavy cream
Directions 1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray. 2.In a food processor, process the graham crackers until finely ground. Add butter and water and process until the crumbs clump together. Press the crumb mixture into bottom of pie plate and about 1-inch up the sides. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool. 3.In the meantime, make the pudding. Put the gelatin in a small bowl, add the boiling water and stir until dissolved. Set aside. 4.In a medium saucean mix the 2/3 cup of sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Gradually add half of the milk, whisking until smooth. Whisk in the rest of the milk. Turn the heat on to medium and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil, about 10 minutes. 5.Remove from the heat. Add the chocolate and stir until melted. Stir in the vanilla and reserved gelatin. Pour the mixture into the pie crust and let set for 3 hours in the refrigerator. 6.Whip the cream and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Before serving, garnish the pie with the whipped cream. Read more at: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/double-chocolate-pudding-pierecipe/index.html?oc=linkback
Silky Chocolate Pudding
Cherice DeBord
Ingredients 1/4 cup (30 grams) cornstarch 1/2 cup (100 grams) sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 3 cups (705 ml) whole milk 6 ounces (170 grams) 62% semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped (I used good quality semisweet chocolate chips; use 70% bittersweet if you want more of a dark chocolate kick) 1 teaspoon (5 ml) pure vanilla extract
Directions 1. Combine the cornstarch, sugar and salt in the top of a double boiler. Slowly whisk in the milk, scraping the bottom and sides with a heatproof spatula to incorporate the dry ingredients. Place over gently simmering water and stir occasionally, scraping the bottom and sides. Use a whisk as necessary should lumps begin to form. After 15 to 20 minutes, when the mixture begins to thicken and coats the back of the spoon, add the chocolate. Continue stirring for about 2 to 4 minutes, or until the pudding is smooth and thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla. 2. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer (or skip this step if you’re a slacker like me who is absolutely certain that there is nary a lump her puddin’) into a serving bowl or into a large measuring cup with a spout and pour into individual serving dishes. 3. If you like pudding skin, pull plastic wrap over the top of the serving dish(es) before refrigerating. If you dislike pudding skin, place plastic wrap on top of the pudding and smooth it gently against the surface before refrigerating. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 3 days (ahem, good luck with that).
His smile, it could light up a small town for a few months... His eyes, they are so kind. His chin, nose, nose bridge, ears, hands, teeth, lips, the way he sits, his passion about everything, the way he closes his eyes when he speaks about something he likes, the way he hugs everybody, his legs, his shoes, the clothes he wears in every ocasion... His dedication to his work... I could go on for ever....-Maria
Hi Tom, I’m Kendra Ashenfelder (Kendra_Ash on Twitter) of Northumberland, Pennsylvania. All I can say is THANK YOU! Your movies have been a great source of entertainment and above all inspiration for I know myself and so many others. I think you have a natural gift as an actor in how you explore the more challenging facets of a character and express them in a way that leaves us feeling compassionate and more intrigued in them and the story. It’s because of this and many other reasons that I became a fan of you and all your work, and I find it incredibly admirable at how gracious you are towards your fans. I hope this aspect of you never changes, and please know that I and my fellow Hiddlestoners are “uncontrollably excited” for you and all your future endeavors. Best wishes to you! – Kendra
Hello Tom! My name is Cláudia Nunes. I’m from Portugal and it’s a great honor to be writing to you.Well, first of all, congratulations for your fabulous work you have done so far. It’s really amazing! You’re a quite talented actor! Now, I wanted to tell how much you are an inspiration to me as you are to many other people in this world. You’re the sunshine after a cloudy day because of the way you make everything look better just with a smile (and believe me and all the Hiddlestoners around the world, it’s the most beautiful smile we have ever seen). You have the greatest sense of humor and wellbeing and you’re the most polite person I’ve ever known. Thank you Tom Hiddleston, for everything!Hope to meet you someday. Keep on doing your amazing work! And by the way, please, don’t ever lose that accent of yours.Kisses and hugs from Cláudia
Hey Tom! My name's Elisabeth (Or Lisa) and I'm probably part of your younger generation of fans xD I just want to say you're amazing and you're also my idol in so many different ways. You've got more talent in one eyebrow than most people have in their ENTIRE bodies, you're so very clever and modest too. And you put up with groveling fangirls like us xD Love you!!
Hello Tom,Greetings from Cleveland, Ohio! My name is Jessica A. Widowski (@WidowShark on Twitter), and I just want to thank you for making me smile. You are a remarkable individual both on screen and, from what I’ve seen online, in person. I absolutely love that you take the time to greet and interact with your fans. My favorite example of this is the story of when you met five-year old Edison in New York while filming The Avengers. In fact, it was that story that turned me into a full-fledged Hiddlestoner. Anyway, I hope this note finds you in excellent health and spirit. Take care and keep smiling! :D~Jessica
Hi Tom, I'm Terri from Manila (@terrigirl_md on Twitter). I just wanted to tell you that a.) I think it's high time we included a few other colors in your wardrobe. Don't get me wrong - I love your color palate, I just think we might need to include a few other colors. Like dark green. Or red. Or beige. Or heck, purple. b.) I love how you always make time for your fans. Like you can't believe that you actually have fans outside of your dad, mum, and sisters. Let me tell you, YOU DO. A whole lot. Your 300,000 twitter followers are not all porn bots. Some just talk like they are. But most of us are pretty harmless.;P c.) I live in Manila, Philippines and a lot of us live pretty far away from London, Germany, New York, etc, etc. Since you might not be visiting us in the very near future and I don't have a hope of coming to see you anytime soon, could you maybe just tweet us to say "I love you guys!" or "I appreciate you!". Just so we know that the time zones and the borders haven't completely hidden us from your sight. d.) About the way you sit. Man, we gotta talk about that. Sometime. Preferably over a few Guinness. (And I know I keep telling you that, but I am not an alcoholic. Really. I'm not.) Tea's good too. Scones aren't that bad either. And most of all: e.) You're a wonderful person - with a kind heart a patient nature and a wonderful soul. Don't let anyone tell you differently. HUGS FROM MANILA!
Hello, Tom. Hope everything’s alright with you. I’m Adriana and I’m from Portugal. You’re quite fantastic, when I say fantastic I feel like it’s the understatement of the century because I haven’t found one word that could summon up such talent, passion, modesty, inspiration that lives within you and since I’m no Shakespeare this is the best I can do. I wish nothing but the best to you and to your future and that may all your dreams come true and surely they will. And please do continue to be a part of our lives because I don’t think you have a clear notion of how inspired we feel watching you do what you do because despite being an actor, brother, son, friend, runner, dancer, prancer, loon, you’re also a great human being who has graced us all with your existence. So thank you for being who you are and keep proving the cynics wrong. Your sky, your limit.Gigantic kiss from the south Adriana
Hello Tom, I'm Maria (@MariaKMDK on Twitter) and i am from Denmark. Since travelling to see you is impossible, a lovely group of your biggest fans included my message to you:) To be honest, i am probably one of your newer fans, but that makes me no less of a fan in my own opinion:) First of, i find you to be, probably, the kindest and most amazing man i could ever hope to meet. A true gentleman, one might say:) Second of all, i find your talent truly inspiring. The way you portray Loki with such strength and vulnerability at the same time, is truly incredible. One of my biggest hopes is that i someday will have just a tiny bit of your strength, humility and kindness so that i can live out my dreams. To put it shortly: I strive to become just as an awesome human being as you are. Even though you have set the bar VERY high! :) With all that said, I wish you all the best of luck, in becoming a great star. Even though, you do not need it :) Sincerely your Danish fan, Maria
Hi Tom! My name is Jessie Smith (JessSmith78 on twitter) I just wanted to let you know that I think you are an amazing actor. You give such depth and emotion to the characters you play. The emotions displayed in your eyes during your final scene in War Horse were incredible, it was almost as if Steven Speilberg yelled out "oops forgot to tell you that today we will be firing REAL rounds...good luck" . Also thank you for being so nice to your fans. One more thing my 6 yr old daughter says "Tom HIddleston you rock and I love your Loki costume" My best wishs to you, you really are one in a million.

Hello there Tom, My name is Jayde-Amelia, I'm a 19 year old Aussie girl from Phillip Island [yes the same town that your costar/bestie Chris Hemsworth grew up in :D if you ever see him again, ask him if he remembers the takeaway/fish and chip shop 'Chinos' in Cowes, my dad owns it :D] and I am a massive fan of yours. First of all, I'd like to thank you so much for giving me back faith in humanity. You're the most wonderful human being to have ever exist in this world, you're extremely polite, your beautiful personality brightens up every ones mood, you fit in with anyone and every crowd you see, I strongly admire you for this. Your work for UNICEFF made me so proud to be a fan of yours, you're an incredible man and I've the utmost respect for you and everything you do. You have given me confidence and have made me feel comfortable in my own skin, it's rare to see photos of celebrities with women with curves, and to see you with gorgeous women with curves, with REAL bodies, whether they're other celebrities, fans, or just everyday women, it honestly makes me feel as if I'd certainly be comfortable and confident with myself if I was to ever have the chance to meet you in person, so I thank you for that. I'd also love to thank you for helping me pursue a career in photography. I've always loved photography/editing photos and have been taking classes for it for the past 5 years, when I finish school at the end of the year I'm hoping to get into a course that'll improve my skills. It's all thanks to you, since I saw your Behind the Scenes video of your photo-shoot for 1883 magazine, I've just wanted to work with you so much, that video really pushed me into making my choice, so I do hope I reach my goal and get to work with you, either behind or in front of the camera. [I can dream/hope]. Well thank you so much for everything Tom, you've the support of all your fellow Hiddlestoners. Keep doing what you do best, you've made us all so proud darling and I can not wait to see 'Only Lovers Left Alive' I love vampires and musicians, and for you to play both just...wow! Has anyone told you that your character looks like a younger version of Gary Oldmans' character Sirius Black from the Harry Potter books/films? Because you do: D Hope to meet you soon All my love Jayde-Amelia [I hope you liked all of my edits, yes, I am THAT Jayde-Amelia ehehe] PS: Hope you had a wonderful birthday from the 9th and a very Happy Valentines Day to you from the 14th. xoxoxoxoxox
.Dear Tom: We love you. There's no denying that. You give us hope, inspiration, and determination to follow our dreams. You're work helps us laugh, love, and come together to do good in the World, even though many of us love you for the villain you play. You help us see that life is important (and so is chocolate) and that we must work together to make the World a better place, one day at a time. Thank you for all you've done, for all you will do, and for being such a wonderful role model, not only to your fans, but to your colleagues as well. Please take care, never back down from your beliefs, and keep being the wonderful person you are. Sincerely, Catharine May What grace becomes a man That in smiling, the world follows suit A rich man That mirror rose of souls being worth more than cheap gold Trading freely in hope Our Odysseus We will follow you In thrall of tales lived on silver screen and those passed in words from mouths of the people Of the man whose eyes painted Shakespearen sonnet The Wordsmith, The Poet, The Gentleman The world holds fair place in the hearts of those implored to greatness by grace. Greetings from Malaysia Tom, Sonnet 78- How oft I have invoked thee for my muse....the whole thing may as well be written with you in mind. Honestly and truly, I mean that in the absolute sincerest way possible. I am sure you have been awash with accolades for your talent and charm, all truly deservedly so. However, as a teacher and a mother I would like to thank you for making kindness, courtesy and intelligence AWESOME again. You may play 'super villain' Loki but your real life embodiment of good guys can win is FAR more resonant. I may quote Buddha and Gandhi but YOU embody and exemplify their values making it desirable to the young generation, inspiring them on a global scale. Thank you! Ps: I teach English as Second Language and Literature have always been a challenge. Your essays are so beautifully written and worthy examples of your double first! I thank the merciful heavens, my students devour them happily. Thank you for making Shakespeare cool again, i dare say every English Literature teacher thanks you too. May God keep you safe and blessed always, A.Elier
Dear Tom Hiddleston, a.k.a. perfect human-being, First of all: I love you. And I am pretty sure you hear that every day, and I am sure lots of people love you, but believe me, nobody loves you more than I do (except for your family, of course). You are perfect to me in every single way: your looks; your hair, your body, your smile, your face, your eyes, your everything. Your personality (MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL); You’re funny – no, hilarious – and you’re amazing, talented, sweet, helpful, caring, cute, adorable, charming, attractive, smart, enthusiastic, fantastic, friendly, likeable, perfect – oh, about that, question; are you a human? I mean, nobody’s perfect, right? So I am pretty sure you’re either a God or an Angel, but I haven’t figured out which one of the two it could be though (probably an Angel, and may I ask, did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?) – and all the other positive adjectives in the world. Like I said before: I really love you. I watched ALL your movies, and you were great in each and every one of them. You were the perfect Fitzgerald, the perfect Captain Nicholls, you were the perfect Loki! I’ve got an account on Twitter (@pottersprophecy), it’s my fan-account for you and Harry Potter, and I always fangirl (by the way, in case you don’t know what it is: It’s basically totally freaking out – as in sometimes even crying – over your idol. It basically means that you love this person so much he or she is able to make you totally freak out about, like, a new movie or an interview. It sounds quite weird but fangirling is just extreme dedication and love to and for one person) about you there. People who don’t understand fangirling and find it strange, but it really just means dedication. I just wanted to inform you that if you ever feel down or sad – and I hope this will never be the case because you deserve to be happy – I advise you to find me and I guarantee you’ll feel more confident about yourself ;-) I also support you and Unicef on another account (@Tom_UnicefUK) and I organize things in my school and neighborhood to raise money for Unicef. I also donate a certain amount of money to Unicef every month. Everything for peace and equality! You really mean the world to me. I won’t bother you with my whole life story – that’d be weird – but I am currently in quite a struggle with everything and especially myself and well, um, I suffer from depression. You really inspire me to keep going and to keep fighting for what I really want. When I tell people you do actually mean the world to me, they just say: ‘’Oh dear, this is just weird. You don’t truly love him. You’ve never met him, he can’t mean the world to you.’’ But they’re wrong. Listening to the things you say and watching your movies make me really, truly happy. I always smile when I watch your interviews on YouTube, or when a trailer of one of your new movies comes out. You really have no idea how much I actually love you, how much your smile encourages me, how much you mean to me and how perfect and amazing I think you are. This might seem weird but I’ve got one of your interviews – where you’re doing the Yoda impression (which is, by the way, absolutely adorable) and where you sing (you’re quite a good singer; I’d buy your album!) – on my iPod, and I always listen to it. Your voice makes me calm and happy, and it always makes me smile. When I am sad I just listen to that interview and it calms me down and makes me happy again. I always love seeing/hearing interviews of you, no matter what mood I’m in. I might just seem one-out-ofa-billion girls that love you, but you inspire me with everything you do; smiling, talking, acting, laughing, living. You inspire me with everything you do and I love you more than anything and I can’t thank you enough for everything. ♥ I don’t see how anyone could possibly hate you, but if it’s the case: please don’t let anyone bring you down. You are beautiful, from the inside and the outside. And don’t let ANYONE ever tell you otherwise. I love you. You even taking the time to read this letter means more to me than you will ever know, and I thank you so much for that. I wanted to send you this through mail but then The Hiddles Fanbook Project came along and I saw this as a great opportunity. As I live in The Netherlands, the chance of you actually receiving/reading my fanletter was small, and I was scared that it wouldn’t even get to you if I’d send it. So I really hope you see it now. I don’t need anything back, not an autograph or something, the only thing I truly care about is that you know you mean the world to me. That’s all I need.Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter, I really appreciate it. And thank you for encouraging me, being my role model and idol, inspiring me, and being who you are. ♥xoxo Your biggest fan, Maren (it’s not a very common name; it’s Latin, comes from Mary and means Star of The Sea, which is funny because I enjoy swimming and going to the sea very much.) PS: This is a joke: Why did the mushroom go to the party? ………………………………….. Because he was a fungi. Get it? ; )
Hello Tom! I wrote you a letter back in December, so this message I’m writing for this book might sound similar. Sorry about that. But if you haven’t gotten it yet, just consider this a preview. I’ve only got an A4 size page to say what I want to say, so I might as well get to the point. You, my friend, are an amazing actor and an all-around great guy. From the things I’ve seen you in (that would be Thor/Avengers, Wallander, and Henry V of Hollow Crown) I can say that you are an amazing actor. You really get into your characters, you really identify them. I identify with Loki the most because I’ve struggled with not feeling like I’m worthy enough or adequate enough, and I think that a lot of people identify with him because of that. Of course, I love Magnus (he’s got some sass) and Henry is, well, Henry, so he’s automatically awesome. You also just seem like the nicest guy and would be the greatest friend to someone, and that’s why I like you and I’m proud to call myself one of your fans. I’ve dealt with severe depression throughout my teen and adult years and I’ve had moments where I don’t even know why I carry on with my life. Things have gotten better though, and I owe part of that-a big part of that-to you. You always make me smile and feel better when I’m having one of my bad days. Your happiness and joy is contagious and no matter what, I look to you and know that there’s got to be a reason to go on, and I’d like to thank you for that, and I want you to know that I consider you a dear friend for that, even though you barely even know my name. On that note, I’ll wrap this up so I don’t go over my page limit. Lots of mad love to you! XOXO,
Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, February 24th 2013 Dear Tom Hiddleston, My name is Ana Luiza, I’m 17, and I’m writing this letter to you, sir, to thank you. I think that you are an inspiring person and you made me see things in a different way. I got inspired by you, sir, after your travel with UNICEF to Guinea. I read your field diary and every single day I read, I was surprised by the way you brought up subjects that are very concerning. You wrote in such a pure and realistic way. You saw their reality, you lived their reality, and you wrote how you felt it in a way that we, fans and readers, felt it. Sometimes, while I was reading, I wondered: “Why are there still so many countries in our world today which still lives in such a miserable way? Aren’t there so many developed countries which could send some kind of help for them?”. And then you answered my question. It doesn’t depend only on the help from institutions like UNICEF, but also the locals needs to do something, because they are the one who sustains their culture, their country, their life. In my school, we have some voluntary projects like visits to hospitals and centers that help people with mental disabilities and we do a lot of campaigns to raise donations for them. Some of the students go at the centers and help the people there, others help with the campaigns. After reading your diary, sir, I got more motivated to help with raising donations. Every time I pick up old toys, books and clothes to give to donation, I imagine the smile on the face of the kid who is going to use them. Maybe I won’t be able to help people from Guinea so soon, but at least I can do something to those who are next. Thank you for the help you gave to those people in Guinea. Thank you sir, for being such a kind, big-hearted person. Thank you for being here, because what you did was just a spark, and I believe that it will light up some many others. You can change the world, sir. I believe it. I believe in you. Wish you all luck, happiness and success in your life. Sincerely,Ana Luiza Campolin

Dear Tom, I thought for a while that I didn't know where to begin this message, but I think the obvious will do the trick. You're an amazing actor. The vast expanse of roles you play so well is simply stunning, and I honestly don't think that Thor would've been such a compelling movie if anyone else had played Loki. There was a certain depth in your portrayal of the character that I don't believe anyone else could do. Not to mention the fact that you're such a great person underneath it-- or at least from what the average person can see. No, I may not be an actor or director or even a top-notch movie critic, but I think opinions like mine are what really matter-- the fans. The ordinary, average person just coming to the theatre to check out a new movie. And just take a look around Tumblr; people love your acting. Maybe this message doesn't matter much after all, stating the obvious and whatnot. But this is my two cents, so to speak. This is my message to you. Now, there is a certain measure of precaution that should be taken in scrolling through Tumblr, of course, but I'm certain that through all of the raptors and EHEHEHEHEs and all of the creepy, disturbing, and maybe even obsessive fans (cough) we all feel the same way. And when the going gets rough just remember that you've got an army of little people that support your endeavors, no matter how many Hulks come along. Just keep doing what you do! Sincerely,~SecretTanking Cliches for the win. All of the cliches.
Hello Tom, You are one of the most amazing people I have ever met! If you ever feel down or feel you are not worth it go to Jessica's Daily Affirmations on YouTube. It will make you smile and might help you to feel good about all you are doing. Never change unless it is for the better. You are wonderful and kind. I hope to be more like you someday. http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3507907/ http://www.wattpad.com/user/EMSeriff I love Tom's smile, I love how kind he is, the way he turns something bad into something good, and his go lucky attitude. Who wouldn't want that? Rachel
He is a gentleman without flaw; With curls that cascade down his neck. His words entrance and hypnotize me. His eyes are the diamonds of the ocean. His elegance is beyond comparison; The sheer beauty of it all takes my breath away. He has the world eating out of the palm of his hand; Yet he is humble and gives everything back. I shall love him forever and never give up; On the hope that he will feel it too. I would call him mine for he has my heart, But he is not mine to take. He will be a shadow and a memory for the rest of my days. But he will know my love and appreciation for him; And that is enough. For it sufficeth to say I am at peace knowing it.
I just want to let you know that you motivate me when times get tough. I'm going through something right now but it's nothing to brag about. Anyways, you're my inspiration for everything I do now. You're such a poetic, lovable, rare man that represents TRUE talent. I bet you get a lot of tweets, fan mail and stuff but that's not going to stop me from sending you my thoughts! You deserve every great thing Tom. After watching the Avengers, I felt complete in all honesty. Then I watched Thor and all your interviews and instantly became a fan of yours. You do great work Tom. I love you in Midnight in Paris, War Horse, the Deep Blue Sea, and the Hollow Crown! Amazing work, very artistic and brilliant. You got my artistic ways back when I thought I could never use them again. I love drawing, poetry, and writing more than ever! You are a TRUE actor with true talent and passion for what you do and I think that's what this generation lacks in my opinion. You amaze me with everything you do from your brilliant acting skills, to your sweet humor, great confidence, breathtaking intelligence, and your charitable, loving acts. There should be more men like you out there really. They all act and look the same but you bring life to your work like no other. What I love most about you is your humble self, and how deep, and richly you get into character. It's fascination, believable, and romantic. No one can do it like you Tom. Movies are all the same now a days it seems. Especially the teeny "popular" ones that lack originality, inspiration, and meaning. But once you came along, I have hope that movies and television can be more real, and genuine, rich, and beautiful...like yourself. I hope you get to read this Tom, I just wanted to let you know how very special you are to me. Wherever you may be, I hope you are healthy and happy, you deserve the best Tom. You're a breath of fresh air in this robotic society. I'm a fan not only of Loki, but the way you put so much heart and soul into all your characters. The way you speak in your interviews, you appreciate real cinema and the passion of acting, directing, and writing. So many people do it for the money and fame and you simply do it for the love of it. You're so noble to everyone, I love your way of speaking, how thoughtful you are even when you tweet, and to me you are very handsome. I admire you so much. Please take care. From a loving fan, Victoria Mendez Twitter: @Lokithatswhy
Dear Tom, Hi, I'm Charlie Cook. I'm 13 and I live New Zealand now, but I only just go here, I used to live in good ol' England in the Bedford :D I guess the reason I am writing this, is well, because of you. You are the most delightful person, talented actor and the reason I smile on cloudy days. You are the main reason I want to pursue a career in acting or singing. I love doing Shakespeare, I love singing and music. I love Ed Sheeran (as me and my brother used to play together and sing while he played the guitar and we sung Ed's music) Mumford and Sons (you like them too right?) Gabreille Aplin (she is very talented, you might enjoy her music) Taylor Swift (because her voice range is similar to hers and I can sing her stuff easily) and lots of other artists. I am a MAJOR cinephile and love movies such as, well things with you in it especially, Scott Pilgrim VS the world and I love watching tv shows like FRIENDS and also BBC period dramas like Lark Rise to Candleford (Did you ever watch that? I was pretty sad when they stopped making them) as you can probably tell i have a peculiar taste in films and especially because of loving you, and the marvel franchise you (or maybe just me) quote the movies a tad too much... :) As you know I have just moved to New Zealand from England, because of the different term times here and in the UK I had to start high school, in a new town, in a new country. This was, as you can probably imagine, insanely scary and I probably got more worked up about it than I should really :) So when I was standing in the courtyard waiting for the bell to ring, I listen to Friday I'm in Love, and you reading poetry like Bright Star and As I Walked Out One Evening, you have me hope, you have me a reason to be happy and keep smiling, and I hope this letter does the same, makes you smile :) I wanting to highlight the fact you went on a mission for UNICEF to Guinea. I found this so so inspiring and it probably made a huge impact on your life and the way you look at things now. Because when people ask me why I idolise you so much is because you are such a giving, loving person. Not many celebrities go out and do charity work, unless it is for publicity and I know you did it through the kindness of your own heart, and I respect you even more for that. Finally Tom, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for getting me through the move to a new life. Thank you for inspiring me to do better, be more positive and enjoy life. Thank you for just being you, and for making me smile, making me more cultured (because honestly how many 13 years olds do you know that sit around watching Shakespeare?) and thank you for giving me an opportunity to write this to you. I hoped you liked my letter, I probably didn't say half the things I wanted to, and probably missed out things, but hey, who is perfect?! I hope this makes you smile, because I sure should return the favor :) Love Charlie x PS: my twitter is @CharlieisCook, a tweet to tell me know you read this would be so amazing, or just to say hi would be great :) PPS: Tell Loki I say hi ;)
Well, Hi Tom. If someone asked me to name 5 thing I love about you it'd be impossible. No really my mother asked me why I like and I spent at least 10 minutes trying to say something but I couldn't. You've also inspired me to take acting further, I have mild stage fright and mt parents told be I would never be able to act, I got them to sign me up for drama schooling but made me drop out due to my stage fright, when I saw your role as Loki in Thor and the Avengers I thought you were astonishing to be honest, so I did a little research into some other things you've been in like; War Horse (which made me cry), The Deep Blue Sea, Midnight in Paris and also as Magnus Martinsson in Wallander (my mother used to watch it, I found it interesting) so yeah you've really inspired me. Your love of Shakespeare as well is just, WOW I mean for my GCSE's in the summer term i'm doing English Literature and things about Shakespeare like a few of his plays, his sonnets and comparing them to one another, and I chose to do that because simply i'm so in love with it, and there are no words to describe the feeling when you find most things you love in one person, and not trying to sound totally creepy and stalker like but it's you, so I hope everything goes well. P.S. I think what you did on your UNICEF trip was fantastic, I read all your daily updates and at some of them I actually cried, and I thought the way you were sat one night in the Mosquito net cocoon with your head torch on with your laptop was quite funny, you basically represent everyone on this website very very accurately (which actually is worrying) and I cannot wait to see your performance in Thor The Dark World (really wondering how long your hair is going to be this time)
Dear Tom, It's difficult to know how to start a message to my inspiration , idol and someone I love more than anything. Did anyone ever tell you that you are the most brilliant person in the world? Well they should have done. Because you are a gentlemen , a nice person, more than that, the nicest person. You are funny , you are unbelievably handsome, in short words, you are perfect. You are the most perfect human being ever to exist. And I can't thank you enough just for existing , for making my sad life better, happier. You inspired me to become an actress, everyday you inspire me more, you are my idol. So Tom , I could write a book full of compliments, reasons why i love you, but this is it for now, thankyou for being there. Abby Tomlinson (@DivergentMcfly )
Dear Tom, Thank you so much for showing me the beauty of Shakespeare's work and english language :) You're always so nice in interviews! I never thought celebrities could be that nice, but I changed my mind. Your diary from Guinea is so thoughtful. My family "adopted" three children in Kenya few years ago, but I wasn't really interested in them. Only now, after reading your diary, I'm trying to learn some French to communicate with them by letters. Unfortunately they can't speak English. Thank you so much for this. Much love from Slovakia :) Tera
Dear Tom! I really hope you've enjoyed this wonderful fan book that has been made for you and all of the comments that have been put in it! I'd just like to say that you truly are such an inspiration to me. Your character portrayals are so compelling; Loki vs Tom is such a huge, unbelievable contrast, it still shocks me how someone could go such a transformation as an actor! I think that you're an amazing Loki, and an amazing man overall! Your "music of the day" is always so good (really loved the Explosions in the Sky song, thank you!) and your interviews always so beautiful or funny. You really are a great role model to everyone and I wish you well for the future.
Dear Tom Hiddleston My dream in life is to become apart of film history, I have always wanted to be involved with the making of films no matter what position it is I just wanted to be apart of It. I started learning about film when I was in 10 years old. I am from San Antonio Texas and there are not a lot of schools or agencies here that are willing to help me so I have been teaching myself. Right when I felt like giving up my dream I saw you and my dream came alive again. You have inspired me greatly and have given me the push I needed to get out there and succeed. I am now looking around for the best agencies and waiting for that big break, I am no longer in fear of failing but prepared to do whatever it takes. I really want to Thank You for all you have done. Your inspiring words that move me forward and never have I seen someone who is so dedicated to film as you. I wish you the best on your projects in the future and I will always have your back. Hope to meet you one day so I can thank you in person. Love Always: Sara Priest "You keep putting one foot in front of the other, and then one day you look back and you've climbed a mountain. Love from Seren K :-)
I have watched "The Hollow Crown" and absolutely fell in love with Tom's portrayl of Prince Harry/Henry V. I have watched a few different actors portay this character, for I LOVE these types of movies or mini series. I must say NOT ONE of them put the passion that Tom had into the character. Tom's portrayl of Prince Harry/Henry V amazed me so much that I almost thougt he WAS Prince Harry/Henry V! I almost forgot that Tom was an actor playing a role! I honestly could feel every emotion he was having. Every worry he had, I had, every sadness every happiness I had also. His ability to bring this character alive almost had me feelig as if I were there with him. I had just gotten so immersed into the story that I felt nor heard anything around me. I didnt hear my children asking for things, or hear the phone ring, etc...LOL! I have never seen such a young actor as Tom with the caliber of acting he has. For me, its usually the older actors, ones who have been in the buisness a bit longer that have similar caliber. Tom however has it NOW! He is one of those actors that you could sit and watch all day in anything at all (not just because he's gorgeous either). Like Anthony Hopkins for instance. He is a favorite of mine. I could truly and honestly without hesitation put Tom's acting ability AND PASSION right up at top of the list with his. I have other works of his I MUST watch! I also watched "Midnight in Paris" and loved him in that. Its nice to see him do other things than just know him as "Loki". I hope and pray to meet him someday and just sit and talk with him. The more I watch, the more I fall in love with his acting ability and passion for the parts that he plays.-April Smith
These are my kids! Teresa(age 3) & Tristan (age 6) when we are watching either Thor or Avengers, when Tom comes on screen they say "there's your Loki mama!" Lol!-April Smith
Dear Tom, How are you doing? I hope you are well. I am usually not the best at expressing myself with words, and I really don’t know where to start as I write this. However I will do the best I can. I’d like to thank you. You are my inspiration not only as an actor, but also as a person in general. You have personally made me want to be a better person and help make the world a better place, and I thank you for that. You are one of my favorite actors of all time. Although acting and music are both my passions, I’ve never admitted to myself until recently that I wanted to be an actress. When you explain why you love acting and describe your experiences at RADA, I feel that I can really relate to you. You give me a sense of comfort and confidence that I can truly accomplish my dreams. I hope that someday I’ll get the chance to meet you and possibly have a conversation with you over tea. You are such a gentleman and are always so polite to your fans. Your personality, humor, kindness and smile give me hope when I’m feeling down. When I watch your interviews I can’t help but smile. In my eyes, you are simply no less than amazing.I really hope that you realize just how lovely you are. You mean so much to me and to the rest of your Hiddles Army. You have changed the lives of so many people for the better and it warms my heart just thinking about it. Your inspirational words of wisdom and encouragement have saved me countless times from sinking into a deep hole. We would all be very different if you never came into our lives. To make a long story short, I thank you, Tom Hiddleston, for being you. Thank you for being the best actor, dancer, prancer, loon, and everything else you could possibly be. And I truly mean that. Never stop being who you are, Tom. Never. You are such an amazing actor and I would be honored to someday have the chance to act with you in a movie. I know you are very busy, so taking time to look at what you get from fans is very sweet. I hope my letter puts a smile on your face and reminds yourself that you have made a difference in the world, especially to me. Take care of yourself, we love you! I honestly can’t thank you enough. “When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.” – Unknown Sincerely, Sarena Keller - California, USA
The question that was posed to me and the rest of the Hiddlestoners was simple: Why do you love Tom Hiddleston? At first I was like "Oh that's simple!" But as I thought more, I realized it isn't that simple. I think the reasons why I love him are best explained in the linked photo. You can clearly see how much he truly cares for these children, even if he only just met them. There are not many people in the world who would willingly spend about a week of their life without the luxuries they usually live with and then continue to tell people about the issue and help to change the world. Tom would. Aside from the facts that he is super charming, ridiculously funny, a charmer and a fantastic actor, he has another quality some people don't And that's the quality of compassion. He cares for everyone, and all of his fans. I've noticed he cares about anyone he meets, and is always nice to them. He's never rude to anyone. He's truly an astounding person who makes me strive to be a least a tiny percent of what he is. But it isn't possible. He's just that amazing. I think the reason I love Tom is because he's unique in the best way possible -Julie Williams
Dear Tom Hiddleston,Thank you so much for paying attention to your fans. From autographs to photos , even the simplest thing make us happy. I could be having the worst day possible, but when I watch Steve and Wendy or even see you smile, I know that things will get better. It is also impossible to count how many times I have laughed until I fell off my bed due to your impressions. Chris Evans, Will Smith, Velociraptor, and Joey the Horse impressions are my favorites. I recently finished listening to the audio book The Red Necklace. I would listen to it when I was ready to go to bed. I would end up listening to about a CD a night before finally falling to sleep. How you were able to change your voice to fit the characters was simply amazing. However your French accent for a woman made me laugh. You did a phenomenal job with the accent; it was just a funny imagining you actually talking like that. I am a bit saddened that you did not narrate the sequel. I guess I will just imagine you narrating. Don’t even get me started on your acting. From Thor, War Horse, to The Hollow Crown, you always do a fantastic job. I can’t wait to see your work in Thor 2: The Dark World any other works. Please, don’t ever stop being such a kick-ass actor and awesome person. I just wanted to say that you are about as perfect as humanly possible. Your smile has connected fans from around the world. Thank you for making my day just brighter, and for taking the time to read this. Your fan, Emily Hobold Tumblr Blog: oh-loki
Hello Tom!! Firstly best wishes from Germany!! I think you’re a great actor and I hope you will make much more films in future. As you can see I’m a big fan of your role as Loki. You are an amazing Loki! – My favourite villain. <3 You did a great job, I always feel sorry for Loki. :’) I also like your role as Freddie Page – passionate lover. Or as Fitzgerald – I think you’re a funny guy! Well, I love all characters you played, because you make them “real” – you realize them and everybody can see something in your characters. And I look forward to see you in “Only lovers left alive” and “Thor 2” again! Keep going and good luck!! Best wishes! Kristin ©KristinWelschhttp://keikokristin.tumblr.com/
Hi, Tom! I have no idea how to start this but here we go. When I watched The Avengers about 3 weeks ago from now (yes, it actually took me that long to watch it, I can't believe it!) I was amazed. I thought, wow, what a great, epic movie full of action. But I got especially interested about the villain, Loki. Jeez, that's a badass guy there! And who is this mysterious, interesting man behind the role? I did a little research and well, that's how I discovered this beautiful man Tom Hiddleston and, surprisingly, Tumblr, which is an incredibly awesome community. I soon watched Thor and Midnight in Paris; they were both very brilliant films too. You've done very good job with your roles, especially as Loki! I'm really looking forward to your upcoming production! So, I want to thank you, for being awesome, for making my life a little bit happier. You've given me, and for other Hiddlestoners, a new point of view in life generally. I’m not afraid to reach my dreams anymore. You seem like a person who can find something positive from every situation life offers. I can't find words to describe it. Tom, You're a role model. You are beautiful inside and out. There should be more people like you in this world. I am now a fellow member of Loki's army and a Hiddlestoner! All that summed up together: Thank you for being you. You're an amazing actor. You give us joy. We love and appreciate you so, so much.Even though you're a life ruiner ;DI wish you all the best! Lots of love from Finland - yes, you've got fans there, too! (I apologize my a bit awkward English, but I think it’s okay for you since you're an amazing and loving person and everything!)Inker-Elli N., 16, Finland
Sonet for Tom Hiddleston Cry 'God for Harry! England and Saint George!' That’s what once told us Henry, English king And in my mind, brighter than flash or torch, I see the one I'd love to buy a drink 'cause he brought Shakespeare's words back to this world 'cause his voice makes me take the sword and fight Even if he was ugly, small and bold He could lokid us (and made think it's all right) Wanted to write a sonnet by my own But here's the thing: I don´t know what to say (Shakespeare was better, he deserve the crown) So, back to Tom, and everything he plays Because he's great although he'd lost his army Oh man. Can't help. Even his name is charming Markéta Forró (Czech Republic
Tom Hiddleston, You’re amazing. I honestly don't know how to put it into words how amazingly inspiring you are not just as an actor but as a role model to so many young people, like myself. I absolutely loved you in The Avengers and Thor, watching you and Hemsworth in Thor was what actually got me hooked/ obsessed on the marvel films. Although a villain my favorite marvel character has to be LOKI simply because he's portrayed by you, such a talented actor. And your performance as Prince Hal in The Hollow Crown, was brilliant and actually helped me get through long hours of A-Level Tudor History revision. Your performances in The Hollow Crown, The Avengers, Thor and War Horse have actually inspired me to go after my dreams, and start acting. It's because of you that I've gone to Auditions for extras in films, and have had the courage to get over my stage fright and shyness, and perform on stage. I can't tell you enough how grateful I am to you for that. :) I thought it was so inspiring how you went to Guinea for UNICEF, not only are you one of the most talented actors on the planet but your also one of the most caring and kind, trying to raise awareness about the work of Unicef in other countries, and going out to Guinea and helping them yourself. Not only have you inspired me to get into acting you've also inspired me to get more involved in charity work locally and more further afield. I love your regular 'song of the day' tweets along with your deep thought provoking quotes on twitter. And you bringing soup for the reporter was so kind and quite funny all at the same time :D Receiving an autographed picture of you from a relative who had the chance to meet you, was the best day of my life, I just hope one day I get to meet you in person as I'm one of your biggest fans and meeting you would mean the world to me. You deserve all the recognition you receive, and you certainly deserve the multitude of awards your nominated for and receive each year, as you are one of the most talented, kind hearted actors on the planet(s), (Earth and Asgard of course). And I wish you all the best and all the luck in the world with your future roles and I look forward to seeing you portray some more awesome roles on the TV and on the big screen From Your Biggest Fan and a dedicated member of LOKI'S ARMY. Dear Tom, You may (or – in all likelihood – may not) remember me, but it’s worth an introduction anyway, I guess. I’m @QuillAndInks – I’ve sent artwork and a letter in for your birthday book this year. In retrospect, however, that all seems rather irrelevant as this is about you, not me. I wanted to tell you something that every other person who has ever been a fan of yours will also gladly agree with: I think you are the best there is. The picture of what humanity should be. To start off with, you’re exceedingly hard-working and your professionalism is almost unparalleled in your field. Yet you somehow also manage to find the time to interact with your fans, to fulfil your own passion for cinema by attending all the local premieres and supporting budding young film enthusiasts in the form of backing various awards for short films. And let us not forget your incredible devotion to charity and charitable causes: your trip to Guinea was one of the most inspirational ‘publicity’ trips I have seen – and not least because of your poetic diary entries (that is a talent you have there, sir!). Most celebrity trips with charity organisations or to promote events such as Red Nose Day are simply videos of them crying at the poverty, at the images of those fighting for their lives in a crowded, noisy hospital room. Of course, this works, but you only get a small sense of the experience. What you managed to show through your diary entries was not only that desolation and desperation, but also the positives, the great work that UNICEF can do for those with little access to clean water, to educate women about female mutilation and the importance of breastfeeding. That is the kind of work that gives those who are safely seated in front of a computer in Los Angeles, or Barcelona, or Birmingham to step away from the screen and actually really reflect on themselves for a minute. It isn’t necessarily tear-jerking, but it is most definitely inspirational and motivational. Because it’s not only picturing the desperation and tangible need for monetary help from the masses, but where their money goes, and the fact that it’s not giving in the hope of a result, but giving to an actual cause. Most people think, for example, that malaria is just ‘one of those things’ in life, something that is terrible, yes, but unstoppable. The reality (as I’m sure you know – Mary and Martha, of course) is that with enough action, the disease can be eradicated completely by 2015; that’s in just 2 years. This is the kind of impact that your trip can have, and I think that the amount of your time you give to the organisations working towards these goals is amazing and awe-inspiring. You are one of the few, truly kind-hearted people around, it seems. You have inspired not only me, but certainly millions of others around the world to better themselves, and to do just that little bit more for the worldwide community. So what I really want to say is this – from me; from all of us: Thank you. Thank you so very much. -M. @QuillAndInks
Tom, Hey! You're such an inspiration to me, your flawless acting and charity work encourage me to do something worthwhile everyday. Your touching trip to Guinea opened my eyes to the world we live in today and it has inspired me to do charity work and spread the word of how both Unicef and the IF Foundation can help people's lives. Thank you for everything, you've really made a difference. Francesca :-)
Smile Silence echoes through the walls of my mind, Silence serene divine and blind, Amongst it I feel no chime, nor time. In the stillness of the moment, and until I go, Help me still, grasp, feel, and grow. For in this world I have seen joy and sorrow, But your smile shines through the cracks of tomorrow. For Tom Hiddleston a great mind, actor, and humanitarian. Maria G.

All your sayings I basically live by because they are my hope that someday I can fulfill my dreams just as you have you are a true hero Tom. Your changing the world everyday and making people who thought they'd give up a second chance a hand of hope is what I believe you are because you are the sun in the morning and the moon in the evenings. Your always there weather it be oceans, lakes, or rivers apart all your Fans love, appreciate and look up to you and you deserve to hear that everyday. C:-Cherice L. DeBord or Cherice@ChericeDeBord(twitter)2013
Tom I have such a high respect for you, and your works. You are a talented actor, and a genuine human being. And Loki’dcracks me up. Youseem like such a neat guy, and I’m proud to call myself your fan. You are an inspiration to me, and you a hero to me. God bless you in all your endeavors. Much love, Taylor White of Searcy, Arkansas
Dear Mr. Thomas William Hiddleston. At first I have to apologize to you that I dare to write you this letter even though I am so weak in English. And there will be some mistakes in this letter, I am afraid. Thanks to these awesome projects, made in honor of you, I have my little chance to write this to you now. And I hope it will make you feel happy a little bit. I am sure you hear this every day, but I simply have to say this. You are real gentleman and I love you, really. And I don’t say this only because you’re handsome, talented and graceful actor (and trust me, you really, really are!). But I love you also because you are the most amazing person that I have ever seen. I have to honestly say I think that I met some amazing people in my life (although I am just 21 now) and for me they were and still are amazing. However, you are better in every way. You are so kind, tolerant, friendly, unselfish, polite, nice and more of these things, which are not seen very often in these days. You inspired people. You saved lifes, and not only figuratively. I admire you for what you did last time. Your journey to Guinea opened hundred of eyes. My eyes were ones of them. I decide to help a little bit, too. My help will be small because I can’t help a lot, yet. But thanks to you, sir, I want to help. I am from a country in Europe, Czech Republic, and I can’t support some projects of Unicef in UK. But I found out projects of our “branch” of Unicef. And I will buy some mosquito nets for children in need thank to this. And more stuff I can buy for myself and let all money from it to go to children. Thank you for this, sir. I know there are crowds of your fans, and you deserve them. But I wanted to say, deep from my heart and soul, that I will support you in everything, I promise. Because I'm sure that everything you will do, will worth it. I know I am just a single voice it the crowd, but I think that you should know this. That somewhere in this big world is just a usual girl, who believe in you. I am also so sorry for all these people who dare to be impolite to you. Never forget that real Hiddlestoners are here for you. Like I am. Like hundreds of us are. Please, be still the most amazing person as you are now. Because you are The Man, you are our king, you are Tom Hiddleston. And I love you. Sincerely, Hannah Keindl (Hana Keindlová in czech)
Hey Tom! So I’ll keep this quick because you probably have a billion to read. Basically, you are amazing and wonderful and passionate, and you have a huge fanbase who absolutely love you to bits. Also I sent you a letter like 8 months ago and you never replied BUT let’s not dwell on that because this is a happy place (: Anyway, I think you should come to Australia really soon otherwise we’re all going to explode because we miss you so much. Yeah that’s all, sorry it wasn’t really as short as I expected Lots of Love ~Laura --> @HiddlestonersAU (not saying anything at all *ahem* <33)
Hello, Sir Thomas Hiddleston. My name is Claire, a 16 years old french fangirl. I'm a MARVEL fan, since I was young, and I'm very inspired by the Marvel heroes. I was excited at first by the X-men comics, then Spider-man's movies, the Iron Man's movies, Hulk, Captain america... And I 've saw the Marvel's Avengers at his release date in France. And my heart broke up when I saw you as Loki. I had never seen that before. It was amazing, you were so expressive, so true, hurt and alive. As a cinephile, I've recognized your performance but as a human being, also your sensitive character. Then I've saw you in Thor, always sensitive, full of feelings, of weakness -and so attractive!! I'm sorry for this fangirl's reaction- .You have woke up my old passion for MARVEL, and created a new one for your talents and thank you for all of it. You make me enjoy life, discover Shakespeare, more Woody Allen and you touched me with your talent. And I saw that all your characters were so deep, so complex, so strong -as in the deep blue sea- and it makes me so admirative! I would like to thank you for all of it, because you are such an amazing man, incredible man, and I know that you are really respective by your fans, I would like to make you know that, we are really respective to you too. If I ever met you, I'd give you a hug and tell you how awesome you are, just for being you. You made me discover Shakespeare with 'The Hollow Crown', and even if I saw it in English, and so it was really hard to understand, but it was so wonderful. You made me cry and laugh, and so I decided to draw you as the wonderful king Henry V. Now I'm reading Henry V in English, and the doors of English literature would have never been opened to me, without you. Well, I think I'm going to stop writing here before write down a whole novel. Thank for be concerned by us, your fans, Thank you for all. And sorry for all my spelling mistakes-and being kinda creepy to you- . Claire Dian, whom is waiting for you in Paris and could occasionally, met you in a random premiere
What I like about Mr. Hiddleston is his honest and charismatic personality. It radiates from him like the first light of sunrise. You can see he enjoys his career and life, yet you also see this mysterious glance in his eyes every time things get serious. His time in Guinea, for example, must have been difficult. It already was for us fans to read his blog entries and see the photo's, but one can only imagine what he must have felt when he saw the circumstances over there firsthand. This opened a lot of people's eyes, and his journey was not in vain. Donations to UNICEF were made in abundance, and I myself poured more money that I spend on food for myself on that. No regrets, just smiles. Knowing we can help. Mr. Hiddleston's personality, his cheerful and positive look on life, his humour and the sheer hopeful radiance he emits, saved me and opened my eyes in many ways. I now know I am not useless. I can help. I can be there for people. I'm not alone. My Autism used to feel like a restraint on me, but since I've become a Hiddlestoner, I have learned that it's not a restraint at all, and I can use it to help and teach. I can use my strengths to make others happy. Whether it's my digital paintings, or my broadcasts, or mere talking. It helps others. For that, thank you. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many others. Femke Spelt
Dear Tom, I’ve sat here for a good portion of the day thinking about what to say, because there is so much that could be said and there is just not enough time to say it all. Not now anyway, so perhaps another time I will have the opportunity to write something much longer. The most important thing that I feel should be said is that you are such an amazing inspiration to all of us; I myself am in the theater department here at a university in America, and watching your performances has given me more drive and more courage to extend my reach and inspired me to give everything my all. I am sure that there are a good number of your fans who feel the same and owe you so much, for you truly are amazing. Reading all of your journal entries of your trip with Unicef brought me to tears, for not many people would take off time like that to go and help other human beings who were desperately in need of things such as basic health care. I cannot say how much I look up to you for that. There is so much about you that is truly so beautiful, and it is in there that I believe you deserve such recognition. I will always look forward to hearing about the things you are up to in the future, watching all of your work and more. It truly has been an honor to be able to write to you like this and express my gratitude to all that you do, and hope to write something a bit lengthier in the future. Stay amazing, stay beautiful, and always shout from the rooftops so we can do so with you. Yours truly, Naomi
There are many reasons why I love Tom Hiddleston; if I had to list them all, there’s a good chance it would make another book. There are so many good things about him, aside from the fact that not only is he adorable, but funny, witty, and intelligent. I guess one thing that makes me admire Tom so much is simply the way he connects to us, his fans. Tom doesn’t keep us at arm’s length; he embraces us, and welcomes us! It is the way he makes it seem like he is an old friend, and the way he is always pleasantly surprised whenever we do things like rally across the internet to make sure he wins awards, or make fanpages and books like this. Tom continues to remain happy and excited despite our quirks. Tom’s dedication to UNICEF shows us how determined he is to help the world, and it is this will to do good and save others that makes him a hero in our eyes, and inspires us in turn to do good with him. Another wonderful thing about Tom is the way he sees the best in everything, an example being his compassion for Loki, whom he always sympathizes with. I can’t pretend to know Tom, but I feel as though I do anyway. His personality shines brightly and deeply in all the works he does, in movies, interviews, even tweets. I love the way Tom can make even the littlest things seem fantastic, like a laugh or a mustache named Wendy. I owe so much to this man, because he inspired me to come out of my shell, and renew my interest in Shakespeare and theatre. He has connected me with so many other people, and because of him I have gained many new friends around the world. And I am sure it’s not just me; many others have probably experienced this too, and that is a wonderful thing! The point is, I love and admire you Tom simply for being you; a dancing, prancing, fantastical loon, with a heart of gold!- Ashley Lynn
Tom Hiddleston is not only an amazing actor; he is also an amazing person whose actions have inspired me greatly. His trip to Guinea with UNICEF opened my eyes on situations I knew little to nothing about and made me really want to help. When I too will be out there making a difference, it will be thanks to Mr Hiddleston and the selflessness I've learned from him. I do wish this wonderful man all the best, may he lead a long and happy life, continuing to help and inspire others. Mimi, a loving fan
Abby Tomlinson (@DivergentMcfly ) Also I made this for you
Dear Thomas William Hiddleston, Here I write you a humbled letter to show you how much I love you and appreciate you as an actor, artist, and a wonderful human being in general. Even so, I could write a novel about you but it still wouldn’t be enough to describe how much I love you. My name is Nadya. I am 16 years old and I’m your fan from Indonesia. I first saw you in The Avengers but it is not until around mid 2012 until I start finding out more about you and I realised how lovely you are. I Googled and Tumblred you, Youtubed about you, watched your other films and performances… until I could finally proclaim myself as a full fledged Tom Hiddleston stan. I love everything about you. Not just physically—you are sexy and handsome, yes—but also personality wise. You are the funniest, smartest, kindest, and not to mention loveliest human being I have ever seen. Every word that comes out of your mouth sounds like a beautifully written poetry. Reading fanfictions about you makes me giggle like a crazy schoolgirl. And I’ve met so many nice people in my life. But you are… Perfect. There is nothing about you that I do not love. I have never loved a public figure/celebrity as much as I do with you. To me, personally, you are the kind of person I aspire to be, and also the kind of man I would want to be with. And just when I thought that I was incapable of loving you more, I found audio files of you poetry reading… It felt… Indescribable. Even the word “perfect” would be an insult to you. You are amazing in everything that you do. I’m so in love with you.I want to meet you. I want to spend a day with you eating pudding at a coffee shop discussing about literature and famous world issues. But you are so cultured, interesting, opinionated, and smart I would feel retarded compared to you. Then again…everything about you excites me. Just catching a glimpse of you at maybe on the street would make my whole life. I would do anything for a chance to be in the same room or place with you.Dear Tom, You are 32 years old. 32 years, you have graced this world with your personality, wit, intelligence, brilliance, kindness, and abundant talent. (also, sex appeal.)32 years, you have made this world a much better place.32 years, you have became an inspiration, not just to me, but to all your fans in the whole world. And for those 32 years I am thankful.I am terribly sorry for any grammar errors I may have made, you are the perfect one and I am not. I am sorry that this letter lacks in vocabulary use. (You can correct them if you want, I would be thankful.)I do. I love you, my dear Hiddles. Love always.Nadya
Dear Tom Hiddleston, I know you probably get hundreds of letters and you can't read them all, but I just really wanted to thank you. I don't really think words can express how much of an impact you've made on my life, but I had to tell you that you are my inspiration and one day I hope to be as inspiring to someone else as you've been to me. Last year was such a difficult year for me, lots of stuff happened and I didn't really know what to do with my life or my future, I was extremely confused and I didn't see anyway of getting out of it. I was extremely confused and just generally doubting whatever I thought. Then someone I knew told me to watch a film called The Deep Blue Sea. I'd never heard of it and I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I was completely and utterly blown away. I thought the acting was amazing, so I decided to look into other films you had starred in and I came across Unrelated and Archipelagio which I loved as well. When I realised you had starred in Thor I watched it and once again was blown away and I was so excited about The Avengers. Then I watched The Hollow Crown and I refound my love of Shakespeare. I was so blown away by your acting and I was determined to aspire to be as good, or try to be as good as you were. I took drama as an A level and i'm doing really well and I hope to study it further. My friends saw a complete change in me and a new determination to strive for my dream and to not give up on it. I was so much happier and now I know what I want to do in the future. Also your trip to Africa with Unicef inspired me so much and i'm hoping to go to Mexico in 2014 on a mission trip to do some volunteer work out there. Your kindness, determination and love of life has inspired me to be a better person, someone who lives life to the full and strives to be the best she can be, someone who will never give up on her dreams. Thank you so much for being a role model for me, you will truly never know how much you have helped and inspired me. Thank you again, Yours faithfully Rachel Potter What can I say I wouldn't be believing in myself if it weren't for you or your quotes. All I know how to say is thank you so much for all the inspiration you've given me hope again. Hope to follow my dreams no matter how many times they were crushed by others. You are my idol I find you my hero in a time of need I probably wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for your quotes. You were the hand that pulled me out of my funk and made me wake up to reality, and to never give up. You are such an Inspiration to all your fans and have made everyone around you believe in themselves. Even when there was no hope I found hope in your tweets and sayings and it made me want to change and now that I'm starting over your the person who gave me hope. I look up to you so much you may never know how much you've changed my life but I will say this Thank You Tom for being you and who you are. I'm grateful to have been born in the same lifetime as you maybe it was just what I needed after all the things I've lived through I never gave up hope because you never did and hopefully someday I'll be where your at now. Living my dreams everyday with passion and love for it just like you do with everyone of your characters. Thank You so much Tom xoxo -Cherice L. DeBord
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, I hope you are well. I’ve painted this quote of yours on a piece of canvas and hung it in my room. It inspires me, and every time I see it, it makes me want to do something new to surprise myself. It might be something as small as going to the gym with some enthusiasm or tidying up my room without being asked to. It could also be something big, like I’ve applied to grad school and just recently got accepted to the school I wanted to attend. I wanted to say thank you for sharing your trip to Guinea with us. You’re a really good writer; you made us feel as though we were right there with you. And you were right; we’re all responsible for the state of our world. Your fans’ reaction to the situation in Guinea has restored my faith in people. I know that sounds cheesy, but it’s still true! I guess one person really can help, no matter how little one has to offer. Now I know this is going to sound weird or maybe silly, but I love being part of your army! I don’t fit in very well with people in general, and I’ve only ever had a few good friends, but being your fan means I have instant friends wherever I go. And they are all such nice people! Very enthusiastic about helping others and doing what they can, all the while with a smile on their faces. I first became a fan when I saw Thor, and I thought you were a great and talented actor, but the more I read about you, it was obvious that you’re also a kind, sweet, and very polite person. It’s not every day that people become fans of an actor for his person as well as his talent. We’re all proud to be your fans! Sincerely, Mav KG
Pocket Hiddles: For an instant smile in any situation
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, I am a fairly new fan; emerging when Thor came out and I fell in love with the way you made me cry with Loki. You are one of the few actors that, when I watch you, I forget that you are Tom and believe in that moment that you are your character. You are one of the very few that can make me feel so much for a character that I have actually cried. You are such a wonderful person and I find you to be very genuine; not faking your personality in interviews and meet ups with fans. I wish dearly that I lived closer to you so that I could thank you in person for giving me hope in humanity. I wish that I could hug you and tell you how much you have changed my life. I would take you out for a chocolate milk shake and talk about nonsense with you; because we may be adults but milkshakes are delicious. I wish more than anything that if not me, that my little brother could meet you. You are such a great role model that I feel I will not do justice to the little 4 year old under my care. He loves Loki as much as I do. Little Ethan… Never did I think that he would love the villain more than any Avenger. Your eyes smile even when you don’t. Your smile and laugh is contagious, your love for your fellow man and your childishness is something that I adore and cherish. The way you love and care for children has brought me to tears. I hope you find true love one day and have a wonderful family. You will be a fantastic father. If I ever do marry a man, I hope that he is much like you… The best I can do for now is the Pocket Hiddles that I drew at work. I keep him in my sketchbook that I carry everywhere and pull him out when I am feeling down. He reminds me that there’s still good in the world and always a reason out there to smile. Thank you for being unapologetically you. (even though you apologize for everything, even when you did nothing wrong) You are beautiful inside and out. Much love and eternal respect; Rebecca Sprague
Dear Mr. Hiddleston, Even when he had everything in his toy box to be any Avenger he chose, my little brother, Ethan, demanded to be Loki at my Avengers themed birthday party. (I am a mature adult… I swear…. sometimes…) I blame you for the bruise on my chest from him mind controlling me 7 times throughout the party. Thank you for that. Really. He got to be included and was the highlight of the party for quoting Loki and blocking everyone at the door who entered. Love, Rebecca Sprague
Dear Tom, It’s me again, Brittany from Cornwall. I told you until next time and here we are. This fanbook is intended to show you why we love you so it’s time for me to get personal and tell you a bit more about myself. Probably first thing is my full name- Brittany Perkins (I realised after posting I left that off of my note!) Talking of the book, I’m glad you liked it! It was a lot of cutting and sticking and this is what happened to my Mother’s Lounge during the creation! And as for my Twitter @BrittLeJoker (which Btw thank you for tweeting it. It made my phone literally goIcrazy with everyone going BRITT BRITT LOOK! While was wandering through the streets of Plymouth. It certainly put a smile on my face So, if you got this book at the Empire Awards we have officially met! It’s quite an awesome thought. I am a 20 year old (Don’t worry if you thought I was around 14, it’s a common misconception!) female Computer Science Student studying at Plymouth University (Final Year) and despite a few hold backs I’m aiming for postgraduate study. (The picture is of me and my partner, who is also called Tom!) The first and foremost reason why I am a fan of yours is your ability to inspire through words. Your elegance with writing and inspiring quotes are sublime. My favourite and the one that inspired me personally most is. Never, ever, let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. Prove the cynics wrong. Pity them for they have no imagination. They sky's the limit. Your sky. Your limit. Now. Let's dance. My second reason for being your fan is your heart. Your charity work is sublime. I have been a frequent supported of African local water aid charities since I was about 14 and it is always delightful to see those with an influence join the cause. Keep up the great work! And Finally, Loki is the role of yours I truly fell in Love with. Your portrayal of him involving both comic book and mythology as inspirations is just... Sublime. Words cannot describe how perfectly you portray the character despite his complexities. I hope to one day meet you (I may have already!) so I can repeat these sentiments but until then, I just want to say you are fantastically talented and I am so very excited for all your future works, especially Only Lovers Left Alive and Thor 2 (Naturally). So until next time, I bid you farewell and thanks for all your inspiration and all the best in the future. (Here is a picture of me as Female Avengers!Loki at London MCM Comic Con, One day it would be amazing if you did attend a British Comic Convention!) All the best, Brittany Perkins xxx PS! I might not be much of a writer or a person who easily expresses emotions by writing. But First of all, Hello Mr. Hiddleston, my name will be probably somewhere below or above my text so no need in saying it again. I am trying to express so many things in a little space, but I just can’t. I want to thank you for the amazing and gorgeous human being that you are. I want to say thank you also for bringing to life those stunning characters, all making me cry and smile while they appear. I feel like writing so many things but I don’t think my English would let me express with different words what you make me feel whenever I hear about you or see your image on Tumblr. I am from Mexico (Mexicali B.C.) and a proud member of Tom & Loki’s Army. Even though I have never met you (and probably will never do), I want to tell you that, You have turned into one of my Inspirations in life, I want to be like you, Generous, Gentle, Well Mannered, Always smiling, Loving, Gorgeous (like I said before), this list could go on and on because you have so many traits even writing them down would be hard for someone who knows you even better. I know I say this too much, but I want to thank you again will all my heart for being who you are, please don’t let ANYONE change you, because we need more men like you in this world. Con mucho amor y respeto Georgina Olivares Torres
This is a drawing I made of you for a 30 Day Challenge “Draw your Inspiration”
Dear Tom I just want to say thank you for being you. You are a huge inspiration to me. I like that you know who you are, that you love what you do, and that you adore and respect your fans as much as we do with you. Your work (whether film, charity, or otherwise) always puts a smile on my face. I believe that you are truly an amazing person, and I also believe that you deserve the best. I am so happy to be a fan. Keep calm and loon on, sir.-Maddy.
Dear Tom, These are the songs on Loki’s playlist chosen by me. They are songs that could have been written by/to Loki. It first started with only Depeche Mode’s songs, but it became much bigger than that. I’ve started to put his list together as na assignment from my psychotherapist, intended to help me express my feelings, bottled up inside. I can relate very much to Loki and his issues. I have an older brother, he and my father have always been very close. I could feel my father liked him more, even though he may love us equally, but I was never consciously aware of that. After seeing Loki’s struggle to show he was worthy too, I’ve come to realize I’ve been doing the same thing my whole life. I’ve been living a life that wasn’t mine. I must thank you for inspiring me, if it wasn’t for your outstanding performance as Loki, I may have never realized all this. You have, unknowingly, helped me dig up something very important, that was in the way of my true happiness. I wish I could explain each song, the reason why I believe it fits Loki, but it’d probably become a endless essay (I tend to talk a lot). So I have only highlighted those I believe to be the most accurate ones. There are a few song, however, that I’d like to discuss briefly: - Darkest Star (Depeche Mode): Every single word could say something about Loki, but this part "stay as you are the darkest star, shining for me majestically" is personal, since Loki and I have similar family issues. He’s like a hero to me. This’s a song that you can listen with your eyes closed, in the dark. - Walking In My Shoes (Depeche Mode): This song has taught me a lot about empathy, every now and then I think about it. Martin Gore's best lyrics, in my opinion, and one of the best songs ever made. "The countless feasts laid at my feet, forbidden fruits for me to eat", how about Odin letting Loki believe he could be king one day? Or seeing Odin and Thor having a relationship that he would never be part of? We all love to judge other people, but are you sure you wouldn't do the exact same thing if you were in this person's shoes? God, I love this song. - “A Little Lie” (Dave Gahan): This, for me, is Loki’s theme song. “Calm down people, it’s just a ‘little lie’. You know it’s doesn’t mean nothing and I realize you could be right”. Dave’s interpratation is heartbraking and unbelievably strong, this song makes me explode inside. - Bitterman (Soulsavers): The chorus of this song is in third person, like he's talking to someone else, saying the things he needs to hear. Then he comes back to first person when he says that he wants to stay. So he goes back to confronting himself. "You're just a bitter man, nothing can make you happy, you're hopeless". His conscience is severe on him. Loki’s anger is like his drug. He may be too lost to be found. He dived deep into his sorrow for all his life, and became bitter. He uses his dark self to have fun and to get the attention of his "number ones" (his family, maybe). He may have made up a false persona, "wearing a face that isn't his". The the dark, misery and pain aren't confusing, 'cause he knows he's destrying himself. He knows he isn't coming back but, eventually, he may want to stay and be saved. Your fans, the Hiddlestoners, are the kindest people I’ve ever met. They are people from all over the world that share not only their admiration for you as an artist, but also as someone positive and inspiring. Your trip to UNICEF made wonders on the fandom, we all had our eyes opened for different realities that only existed in our thoughts. In this group I have found friends that I hope to keep very close, no matter how far they may live from me. That’s all thanks to you. I wish you all the best in the world. I’m sure you have a great and long carrer ahead, and you can reat assured that your fans will always support you. You are an exemple of perseverance and kindness to all of us! Big hug! Dear Tom, You're a fantastic actor, and I look forward to seeing much of your future work. I honestly wished the King Henry series was longer, I loved it so much, best portal of that role I have seen. Like the rest of your army though, I discovered you through your Loki role! You were made to play Loki. But yes your great, and the fact that you're a bit of an activist too, only makes you that much more awesome! I hope things are well for your, and this book brings you a smile. -Jessica Jimerson
What have I learned from Tom Hiddleston? (In no particular order)
A Guide by Camryn Shegogue
1. If you’re jealous of your brother, it’ll probably end badly. 2. The proof is always in the pudding. 3. Everyone has a voice worth hearing. 4. Shakespeare is not a force to be reckoned with. He is the man. 5. It’s okay to be yourself, even if you’re a total loon.
Tom, you are my inspiration, my motivation, and my idol. I look up to you for everything and I hope you think fondly of me when I read this. You are truly the kindest person on the face of this planet. In plain terms, the earth needs more people like you. Thank you, Tom...for everything you do. Much love and hugs, Camryn Shegogue (aka Loki the devoted fangirl ^-^) I’m on twitter @gingerfeels Now for some random fan art by yours truly...
THANKYOU`s I owe a huge thank you to everyone involved in this project and the Hiddlestoner fandom in general. Without any of you this Fanbook would never have been created. If I hadn’t gone to the OAP screening of one Woody Allen movie by the name of Midnight in Paris one July Thursday morning then I would never have discovered the wonderful, amazing talented actor by the name of Tom Hiddleston. I would never have met any of you amazing people who I am now proud to call my friends, neither would I be as uncontrollably excited as I am for the Great Gatsby in May and without that cinema trip, eight months ago, the initial idea to create a Fanbook for Thomas William Hiddleston would never have happened. This Fanbook is of course for Tom but it is also for you hiddlestoners too. Because of all your submissions Tom now knows (atleast I hope) how much we all love, care and admire him as an actor, but most importantly as a person and inspiration. Without the following people this book wouldn’t have been as big or successful as it is so Thank you all so much. I love you all.
Front Cover and the Hiddlestoner Collage: Camryn- I can’t thank you enough for creating this amazing front cover and collage they’re both absolutely amazing and you’re a true star. Thankyou. Front Edit: The lovely Rachel. You making this edit made it easier for me to get the word out about the project and come up with the name for the book. `Project Why We Love Tom Hiddleston`. Thankyou darling. The Tom Hiddleston Fan video Tribute DVD and Tom and Loki Fan mix CD covers: Thankyou really isn’t enough to the incredibly creative Mav who created the CD and DVD covers and edited the fan video.
