Support the marketing team and engineering staff with general marketing, graphics and proposal needs through the development of presentations, brochures, RFP/RFQ pursuits. Build existing client relationships and maintain our social media accounts. Direct and delegate projects to our in-house graphic designer and intern. OUTCOME: Gain knowledge of the AEC Industry in Portland and enhanced my graphics capabilities.

Internship during graduate school. Designed and constructed a detailed basswood model of a single-family home in Sri Lanka based on developing cad drawings from the architect. OUTCOME: Benefited from working directly with the principal (former instructor). Involved in meetings with design and structural team to make physical model as accurate as possible. Summer Internship position. Created RFP proposals and presentations, and developed concept drawings, along with front desk duties. OUTCOME: Gleaned insight on the day-to-day processes in a firm, while working directly under the managing principal.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE GRAPHIC DESIGN & BRANDING architecture foundation of oregon November 2014 - Present

Designed and developed a new logo and set of design standards for the afo’s annual Dine&Design event marketing collateral, including an online brochure, advertisements, and printed postcards and flyers. Additionally used the new design guidelines to create the invitations, programs, and advertisements for the Honored Citizens Dinner. OUTCOME: Developed my graphics and branding abilities. CO-PRESIDENT Portland Student Action Council, University of Oregon September 2012 - June 2013

Spearheaded the planning and development of multiple events, including POINTpdx, the week-long M.Arch Thesis Open House, and the M.Arch Portland Celebration Ceremony. Lead the discussion and communication between administration, faculty and students. Established yearly budget and attended budget hearings. OUTCOME: Honed interpersonal skills, project management abilities, and decision-making capabilities under tight deadlines. DESIGN / BUILD Global Architecture Brigades, UC Berkeley Chapter August 2010 - February 2011

Co-founder of the UC Berkeley chapter of Global Architecture Brigades. Collaborated with 7 other students to design a new secondary school for a small town in Santa Rosa, Honduras. Traveled to the Honduras for one week in January 2011 to start the construction. OUTCOME:: Learned to design collaboratively and see a project through to construction.
