Dear Hiring Managers, I am a fourth-year Architecture student at Miami University, with a minor in Sustainability. During my course of study, I have worked on a number of challenging individual and group projects which have allowed me to hone my organizational and presentation skills while stretching the bounds of my creative talents. I have learned how to be successful in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. In addition to my studies at Miami, I am also a three-year member of Alpha Rho Chi, the national architecture and allied arts fraternity, where I have held leadership positions on the Professional and Philanthropy committees. This experience has allowed me to meet and exchange ideas with architecture professionals from a number of different firms, and to network with students and alumni from other universities. Outside of Miami, I also have professional architecture experience, having interned at Kaczmar Architects, in Cleveland, during the summers of 2018 and 2019, and Gross Residential during the summer and winter of 2021. While working under the supervision of senior architects at Kaczmar, I toured, observed, and dimensioned project sites; produced detailed project drawings using Revit; and collaborated on the design of several commercial projects. While at Gross Residential, I did similar work in AutoCAD. Additionally, at both companies, I assisted in the design of multiple commercial projects, generated progress reports, and presented results to my supervisors. I am proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Miro, and have a working knowledge of Sketch-Up, Climate Consultant, and QGIS. I am a quick learner, and would welcome the chance to learn additional software packages in order to meet the needs of your company. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you, either by phone or Zoom, to discuss your position in more detail. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to speaking with you soon! Sincerely, Emma Fulton
