A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Welcome to Issue Five of Stately Magazine. Spring has sprung inside this edition (even if it takes just that little bit longer to arrive where I live in Alberta). You will already have seen that our cover is graced by the timeless Elle Macpherson who joins us to talk about her latest jewellery and wellness projects. Following on from their feature in the last edition we are delighted to have Kaavish Spa on our back cover.

Indeed, ‘wellness’ is a theme throughout the issue with notable contributions from; Amy Nicole Cohen of Chic Retreat, Alignment Coach, Lucy Crane and our regular contributor Sarah Stone’s Intentional Living. The destinations that we feature, Capetown and Bali, are synonymous with the idea of rest and relaxation in the most luxurious setting but, if heading away from dry land sounds more appealing, then look no further than Quasar Expeditions who offer luxury cruising in the Galapagos Islands on Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco’s beautifully restored honeymoon yacht. If you are in need of a specific, perfectly tailored retreat experience, then our Luxe Club feature will certainly be for you.

Another of our regular contributors, Tony McGrath, has recently returned from the UK where he enjoyed the history and hospitality of Windsor and Eton and kindly provides his insight into some of the charms of this beautiful area just outside of London.

If your wealth planning and legal ‘wellness’ is more your focus then look no further than our pieces around tax planning and asset protection contributed by MacMillan Estate Planning and to our introduction to The Strongroom LLP.

We are delighted to showcase some stunning consumables including artisan writing implements from Wig & Pens, a look at some of the high-end jewellery procurred by Hollywood jeweller, Chris Aire, and the style highlights of the prestigious Surrey Fashion Week.

Our regular Stately Kitchen feature pulls on the Spring theme with some bright and fresh ideas and, if your kitchen (or any other part of your home) is in need of a freshen up at this time of year then look no further than our favourite interior stylist, Hannah Thomas. Once you have implemented some of Hannah’s ideas why not check out Calgary’s favoured purveyor of antiques and bespoke collectible furniture, Uniquities. We had a wonderful chat with serial entrepreneur and business and leadership advisor, Cindy Wahler, who told us about her career to date and her most recent venture, a rather different path by all accounts, BiteMeCookie.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I think about how many issues have now been produced and how the magazine continues to evolve, going from strength to strength with each new edition. There is some really exciting material in the pipeline for our upcoming editions - more interviews with global personalities and content provided from some truly wonderful people and businesses. If you would like to be a part of it I would love to hear from you.

I will look forward to seeing you all again when the season changes and we can, hopefully, be on the cusp of a long, hot summer (within reason!)

Emma
