Multi-talented Donia Youssef is not just an ordinary multi-hyphenate. She is a multi-award-winning author, entrepreneur, writer, acting agent and film producer whose accomplishments stretch beyond boundaries.

This astonishingly inspirational all-singing, all-dancing London lady’s achievements span over 65 global festival wins, 11 finalist spots, four honourable mentions, and a further 21 official festival selections to boot.

Doing the stuff that dreams are made of this immense recognition marks this living legend’s outstanding work, including her multi-award-winning film, ‘The Monster in Mummy’, and her highly amusing, yet educational, animation projects, such as ‘Sadie and the Grove’, ‘Rosie the Rapper and Friends’, and ‘Monster in Wonderland’.

Lighting Up Times Square

Recently featured on New York Times Square billboards, Donia continues to elevate her influence in the entertainment industry. However, she does more than create riveting stories. Her projects have a real purpose, focusing on mental health, cancer awareness, disabilities, and equality, demonstrating her commitment to making the world a better place.

We’ve known each other for around a year now and, in my role as an events organiser, as well as a celebrity journalist, fun-loving Donia has been top of my list when it comes to VIP guests.

She partied hard at my opening event of 2023, grateful for her first fun night out after having hidden away to recover from her latest cancer treatment. And she brought a few of her Hollywood pals along to support our celebrity charity event at Prince Zylinksi’s stunning White House home in London which, as mentioned in a previous issue of Stately, was partly in aid of the amazing charity Hospices of Hope, which is currently campaigning and fundraising to build a much-needed new hospice in war-torn Ukraine.

Surrey Awards X Surrey Fashion Week

The fun-loving creative, who has coveted Canadian connections via her award-winning animation company, also attended our Surrey Awards x Surrey Fashion Week celebrity charity catwalk show this spring, hot-off-the-plane from the catwalks of Cannes, where this iconic influencer won yet another award of her own at the prestigious world-famous Film Festival.

I have no words to express just how proud I was to be seated adjacent to this amiable best-selling author, who was one of my VIP guests on my top table, this time at an inaugural Rocks Mag Awards charity event, which was held in collaboration with my annual Surrey Fashion Week celebrity charity catwalk show in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

What’s more, she brought along a few of THE most fun famous names in showbiz as her guests, including ‘Top Boy’ actor, Shone Romulus. And boy, did we laugh at his antics on the night!

On the Awards’ glitzy red carpet, multi-award-winning author, entrepreneur, writer and producer of books and films at London’s Monster World Studios, Donia dished up further insights into her incredible journey, her upcoming film, her latest book, ‘Rosie the Rapper and Friends’, and her involvement in the Surrey Awards and Surrey Fashion Week 2023’s ongoing silent auction in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

PROSTATE CANCER UK.

In addition to her many accomplishments and contributions, Donia has also recently teamed up with Trauma Surgeon Professor Mansoon Khan on her Monster World Studios venture in London. This partnership is a powerful and innovative blend of medical and entertainment industry knowledge and is set to transform the way these sectors interact.

This bridging of sectors is the perfect manifestation of Donia’s ethos: from trauma, we can turn it into power. With her profound personal experience and dedication to make a difference in the world, this new venture promises to be yet another impactful project under her belt.

In other exciting news, an A-list Hollywood actress has been confirmed for the role in Donia’s animation project ‘Sadie and the Grove’. This development further solidifies Donia’s foothold in the entertainment industry and is a testament to the quality and reach of her work.

You’re a multi-award-winning author, entrepreneur, writer, and film producer. Which of these roles do you enjoy most, and why? Each role is rewarding in its unique way, but writing is where my heart is... It’s where can express my creativity and make a difference through storytelling.

Your work, particularly your animation projects, often address significant societal issues like mental health and equality. Why do you believe it’s important to highlight these topics?

Art and storytelling have immense power - they can reflect society, evoke emotions, and inspire change. Addressing societal issues like mental health and equality is essential because they affect so many people. My sister sadly took her life when she was only 26 years-old, leaving two babies without a mother. By incorporating these themes into my work, I hope to generate dialogue, raise awareness, and contribute to making the world a better place.

Tell us about your new book, ‘Rosie the Rapper and Friends’. What inspired you to write it, and what can readers expect? ‘Rosie the Rapper and Friends’ is a heartfelt story about friendship, courage, disabilities, diversity and the power of music. Readers can look forward to a captivating narrative and endearing characters, all while exploring the book’s underlying themes. It’s available for pre-order via the MonsterSeries.com website and will be available on Amazon worldwide next month.

And there’s also a major film in the works about your life. Can you tell us more about that?

It’s an exhilarating project that I hope will motivate others to chase their dreams. Everyone faces obstacles, but it’s how we overcome them that defines us. This film is a celebration of that spirit.

You’ve generously donated a signed box collection of your amazing books to the Surrey Awards x Surrey Fashion Week’s silent auction in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. Why this cause?

Prostate Cancer UK is a cause close to my heart. They’re doing exceptional work, and wanted to contribute in a way that could make a real difference. The auction seemed like the perfect opportunity for that.

To say that I am in complete awe of this amazing woman is an absolute understatement. Donia’s story continues to unfold, and as it does, she further demonstrates her unique ability to bring together various sectors, encourage dialogue around critical societal issues, and inspire people worldwide. Her journey is one to watch closely, as she continues to shine brightly from London to Hollywood!

Donia’s story is not just about her impressive accomplishments - it’s about using her platform to address important issues and inspire change. Her upcoming book, ‘Rosie the Rapper and Friends’, along with her generous contribution to the Surrey Awards’ silent auction, are further testaments to her dedication to making the world a better place.

Keep an eye on this rising star, and let’s join her in making a difference!

Donia has kindly donated a signed box collection, comprising three hard copies of her priceless original books ‘For Sadie and The Grove’, to our charity silent auction accompanying our recent celebrity event.

These will be worth a small FORTUNE in the future, with the accompanying film being narrated by an A-list actress!
