Scene: The playground or patio at school Characters: Lola: Lola is bossy. She wants people to be her friend but thinks that controlling people is the way to do it. Beatriz: Beatriz is very kind and gets on with everyone. She doesn’t want to make people mad. Clara: Clara is gentle and a bit shy and finds it hard to stand up to bossy kids.
Clara and Beatriz run onto the stage together. Clara: Beatriz! Let’s play “under the table”! I’ll start! Beatriz: OK! Clara, you start! The girls sit down and start a hand clapping game. Lola comes up to the girls. Lola: What are you doing? Beatriz: We’re going to play “Under the Table”. Lola: I want to play with you. But I don’t want to play that game. Clara: But we want to play that game. Beatriz: Yeah, Lola, this is what we want to play. Lola: You can’t play that game because I say you can’t! Clara: (in a small voice) You’re not the boss Lola. Beatriz: Please Lola. Lola: You will do what I say or I’ll….
