BRIEF TITLE Chance The Brief Explore and investigate the theme of ‘chance’ Concept/Proposition Look at things like games of chance, ways chance is used for decision making e.g. flipping a coin, dice, straws, rhymes etc. Investigate how these replace usual decision making. Document the investigation as it happens and then choose a suitable way to visualise the process. Considerations
Background The Dice Man written by Luke Rhinehart is based around a psychiatrist who wants to investigate whether the personality can be removed by handing over all decisions to a die. This project acts as an investigation into the importance of decision making in design.
