Concept and Color:

This project entailed students to create a critical multi-media architectural reflection of their house that through research and documentation reflects what I have grown to love and hate of its' design. By carefully considering the house I have been studying this project will answer: "What are the house's major design concepts? and What is most important to me?". Using the same concepts from the Loblolly house that I've explored in drawing form, we were to create a model that describes the intellectual, emotional, and sensual responses to colors, patterns and textures I found in the spirit of Mondo Materialis. Concept and Color:

After I studied the Loblolly house I focused further on the materiality and function of its' design. I then created a set of three boxes made from aluminum studs and flat fasceners that fit inside on e another. This design choice was made to reflect the Loblolly's kit of parts design that conceptually engage like a set of Russian Matryoshka dolls.
