Inner bags for touring panniers The sturdy inner bags make loading and unloading easier and are also water-repellent. The handy inner compartments allow washing to be held in place, for example, while the outer pockets are perfect for small items. With carrying handles and detachable shoulder strap.
Impact protection for touring panniers (not shown) To ensure mishaps are more slight than serious, and to protect the panniers from unsightly scratches, they can be equipped with customised impact protection.
Storage compartment for topcase The handy solution for documents, writing implements or even your netbook: secured with 4 quick fasteners in the topcase lid, this handy document pocket ensures everything is kept tidy, allowing you quick access to everything you need.
Additional brake light for topcase The LED additional brake light in white clear glass look increases passive safety and blends in beautifully with the topcase lid finisher.
Inner bag for topcase The handy, high-quality inner bag is water-repellent and makes maximum use of the space in the topcase. Simultaneous use of the topcase storage compartment is only possible to a degree.

Floor lighting When the hour gets late, the floor lighting illuminates the road with state-of-the-art LED technology, making parking easier. If you wish, you can even leave the lighting on after you’ve taken out the ignition key.
Sound components
Akrapovič sports silencer system Superlative craftsmanship honed to perfection: slip-on left and right silencer with meticulously, conically-shaped sleeve made from titanium, connecting pipes and stainless steel interior structure as well as front finisher and end cap made from carbon. Impressive, rich sound from 3 tail pipes on each 2 side makes your K 1600 GTL an experience for the ears too.

GT windshield The narrow GT windshield accentuates the K 1600 GTL’s dynamic appearance.
Rider’s seat, height-adjustable For a dynamic look that makes no compromises on comfort. With this two-section seat, the height of the rider’s seat can be custom-adjusted to two positions. Available in two seat height versions, with heated seats as standard.

BMW Motorrad Navigator IV Where am I, where do I want to go and what’s the quickest way to get there? Questions that come up time and time again, and can be answered very easily: with the BMW Motorrad Navigator IV. Easy to attach, it’s the ideal GPS navigation system. On the K 1600 GTL, you can not only make use of all its possibilities thanks to the optional pre-equipment service, but it is also protected against unauthorised use thanks to the windscreen, which lowers when parked.

Engine protection bars The two-part, sturdy engine protection bar made from matt stainless steel protects the engine housing from major damage and blends in perfectly with the sophisticated overall concept of the K 1600 GTL.
LED additional headlights Turn night into day. The LED additional headlights make a brilliant contribution to road safety.
Anti-theft alarm system The system responds to changes in position and jolts with a clearly-audible signal and flashing hazard warning system. Can be conveniently operated by remote control. Available as special equipment only in combination with central locking.
Maintenance and technology accessories

Battery charger Constantly charges the motorcycle battery. Connects to the auxiliary power socket.
