Events & Happenings Palm Beach International Film Festival | April 3rd-10th, 2014
Film is one of the top leading industries in America and other countries throughout the world. From acting to productions, people dream of making it by performing on the “big screen.” To help support local and independent film makers, Palm Beach Commissioner Burt Aronson with the help of George Elmore began the Palm Beach Film Festival in 1996. These two shaped the festival to help fund the education of film in the Palm Beach School District. In 2003 the festival evolved into a competition that allows films to receive awards such as best picture, best actor, and best documentary. Having already raised $1 million dollars in funding for the schools, the Festival has been named in the top 25 independent film festivals in the world. This year’s festival will begin on Thursday April 3 at 7:00pm with the film Belle. Hundreds of films will be shown all over the county through April 10. Prices and Locations vary per film. The Palm Beach International festival is a Not for Profit Organization where funds go into grants and scholarships for the local film education. Please support this cause while enjoying a unique film at your favorite theater! For more information and a full list of events please visit the website athttp://pbiff1.festivalgenius.com/2014/
