GLASS BLOWN OPEN Saturday, April 25 to Sunday, May 3, 2020 One of the PDGA National Tour Elite Series tournaments, the Glass Blown Open is the world’s largest disc golf tournament! Over 1,600 disc golfers from around the world will compete on local courses, and winners receive glass blown trophies. The tournament concludes with a downtown block party that includes a putting competition, food trucks, beer garden, and the Ring of Fire.
2021 PDGA PROFESSIONAL DISC GOLF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Saturday, August 29 to Friday, September 4 The Professional Disc Golf Association has chosen Emporia, Kansas for the 2021 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships. Pro Worlds features the sport’s top competitors.

With some of the best professional 18-hole disc golf courses in the country and a culture that welcomes players, Emporia has become a mecca for disc golfers. That is why every year thousands of people from around the globe come to play in the world’s largest disc golf tournament.
PETER PAN PARK
The holes in this beautiful park are short and technical. Peter Pan Park’s course is great for casual golfers and beginners, but with fun and unusual features, it can challenge more experienced golfers. Water is in play on up to 8 holes and hole 11 is a peninsula shot. Feel free to explore the memorials, stone structures and natural amphitheater in this historic park. Free course. First hole is on S. Congress St. between Kansas Ave and Logan Ave. Course Length: 6650 ft. Par: 57
JONES PARK WEST
This course offers a nice variety of holes, from short to long. Gently rolling hills and light woods are fun for golfers of any skill level. There is not a lot of heavy rough, but many protected pins will challenge golfers. Water is in play on 5 holes. Free course. First hole is near Prairie St. entrance Course Length: 5354 ft. – 6637 ft. Par: 55
JONES PARK EAST
With long fairways, 3 water shots and many trees, this course is a great challenge. Golfers will be forced to test their skills on the technical holes. With longer holes than Jones Park West, this course allows golfers to open up on their drives. Free course. First hole is near Lincoln St. entrance Course Length: 6665 ft. – 8044 ft. Par: 62
OTHER COURSES
EMPORIA COUNTRY CLUB 18th Ave. and Rural St. This course has something for everyone. It is a championship caliber course with long, open fairways and an island hole that is very challenging. The well-manicured rolling hills make for some great elevation changes. Call 620-342-0343 for tee time. There is a greens fee. Course Length: 9354 ft. Par: 61
HAMMOND PARK 1628 Merchant St. Hammond Park is a fun little recreational level course set in a small park. Moderately wooded with a nice variety of holes makes this course challenging. No water holes! Course Length: 2172 ft. Par: 27
FLINT HILLS TECHNICAL COLLEGE 3301 W. 18th Ave. A variety of holes ranging from 150 to 350 feet, this short open course plays around Flint Hills Technical College. This quick play course is a good warm-up or practice course. The course starts on the north side of FHTC. Course Length: 2312 ft. Par: 27
EMPORIA MIDDLE SCHOOL 2300 Graphic Arts Rd. This is a fast paced course with short holes that is great for working on your short game. It is closed during school hours, and is designed as an appropriate challenge for beginners and juniors. Course Length: 2926 ft. Par: 54
NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN CHURCH 1505 Rd. 175 This course is a good mix of open and lightly wooded holes. There are now two sets of tees for each basket to play 18 holes. This course is on church land, so please be respectful of their wishes. Course Length: 4613 ft. Par: 54
