Amp, the live radio app from Amazon, has launched The Come Up — a new emerging artist program bringing communities together to discover, celebrate, and break rising artists. Creators and listeners using Amp can help identify today’s hottest rising hip-hop artists coming out of Atlanta. The Come Up will be moderated by influential tastemakers in music and culture who will create new shows that ignite conversation across the app to identify talent. Driven by veteran industry executive Kenny Burns, the influential show hosts include content creator Big Bank, multimedia personalities Su Solo and Paige Shari, and artist and producer DJ Kash.

The enlisted hosts launched their own shows on Amp to play songs from their favorite emerging Atlanta-based hip-hop artists, calling for fans in the community to gather for debate and discussion live. Fans can drop in to each show to engage via the chat and call-in features or create their own show using the tag #TheComeUp to debate who they think is next up. At the end of each month, the tastemaker hosts and Amp will select three featured Atlanta artists from across The Come Up shows and the selected artists will receive promotional support across Amazon Music and Amp, including being featured in a docuseries developed and directed by Cam Kirk; opportunities to be interviewed on popular Amp shows The Daily Cannon with Nick Cannon and Rotation Radio with Gabe P and Nyla Symone; and inclusion on “The Come Up” playlist on Amazon Music.

“There is an awakening happening in music and the arts, and Amp creates a place that is for that emerging audience and movement—real people, real voices, no gimmicks, and no algorithms speaking for the people,” says Kenny Burns. “Community is the most authentic partnership an artist can have, and I’m looking forward to highlighting the best of the best to communities on Amp!”
