The Divine Purpose

The position of “Wife” was established from the beginning of time. When

God placed the female on the earth, He placed her in the position of a “Wife”. So as a woman you must understand that you are valuable to a man, and important to the maintenance of the earth. From the beginning God not only placed you here to be alongside your husband but also together

He gave us a mandate.

The Bible tells us, “[A woman] is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the coming days” (Proverbs 31:25). Without the need for a doubt, God gives women strength, especially in our marriages. As we become wives, we become the stewards of strength. We are fully accountable for the way in which we have our power. A Christian wife is a woman with power.

She’s unfazed from those who say that anything can’t be done. Her God-given purpose and passion has a strong intent, profound compassion, and a daring spirit that has the power to change her marriage. But even a powerful woman has challenges on her path. Often her persistence and strong will cause misunderstandings and rifts in her relationships, and God is the only one that can help her resolve them. Like Proverbs 31, a good Christian wife is a woman of noble character, wisdom and courage, which she uses to lift her marriage. Here are a few divine purposes of wife in marriage.

Loves Her Husband

Titus 2:4 calls for wives to “love their husbands.” A wife is called to embrace her husband as he s – an imperfect man. Since Paul tells husbands to love their wives and wives to honor their husbands in Ephesians 5:33, there are also those who believe this means that a Christian wife doesn’t have to love her spouse, and that’s not true at all. As Christians, we are commanded to love our brothers and sisters in Christ, which is especially true in marriage. When a husband and wife get married, they make a promise before God to stay together until they die. If you’re in a one-sided relationship, you’re heading for trouble.

In Proverbs 31:1031, we read about a wife of noble character. In verse 10, we discover that she’s worth more than rubies. Wives are told of their worth in Christ.

Be a Woman of Noble Character

In Proverbs 31:10-31, we read about a wife of noble character. In verse 10, we discover that she’s worth more than rubies. Wives are told of their worth in Christ. Then we read in verse 11 that her husband has complete faith in her. Our husbands ought to be willing to trust us, which means that we have to have our heads in the position they need to be. A wife must have the best interest of her family in sight. She lives unselfish, too. Her husband loves her and he can trust her. It is necessary for wives to be truthful with their husbands in any and all matters, to act wisely, and to seek the direction of God in all things.

Be Clothed in Strength and Dignity

Proverbs 31 also shares that a biblical wife is clothed in strength and dignity. Wives are also responsible for managing multiple activities in and around the house. They can be a homemaker, a full-time employee, and they can also maintain relationships with other people outside the family. Their plates are full, and yet they still depend on the Lord’s power to raise them up. In the end, she’s wise. Her power and wisdom spill out, and it influences those who are in her care.

Imitate Christ

Second Corinthians 3:3 tells us, “Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ Himself wrote it – not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone but carved into human lives – and we publish it.” Christ’s wife impersonates Christ in her everyday life. She gives glory and honor to God and to her marriage. Your work ethic, your honesty and your mission are all manifestations of Christ and His love. This woman of strength and purpose is going to live her life for God, no matter what they are doing or where they work. Its aim is to raise up Christ, to represent His character and actions. If you’re a strong-willed wife, your family is going to follow you.

Cares For The Family

Proverbs 31 makes it clear that the home is the primary sphere of influence and responsibility of wife. Her family is very well cared for. That is not always simple, especially with shared responsibilities and work outside the home. Women are very often stressed out and pushed to a breaking point. One way of avoiding tension is for both husbands and wives to rearrange their objectives and follow the Bible’s directives on their positions.

Be a good companion.

The Christian wife is called to be the best friend of her husband. When God put the first man, Adam, in the Garden of Eden, he said, “It is not good for a man to be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him” (Genesis 2:18). She does not even have to participate in any activity her husband takes part in, but she does enjoy the time she shares with him. A married couple is having a lot of fun, enjoying the time they spend together.

A Christian wife is a woman of strength and purpose who leads a life of honesty. If you live all out for God, your motivations and acts will be in line with His Word. If you are a wife, representing these values, you have the foundation for a rock solid marriage. Take stock of the power that God has given you. The Lord has clothed you with power, and in your marriage, you can use it for good. Never silence your strength. Use them to the glory of God, and also to make your marriage stronger.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to write for this magazine. I love the message it will convey and the audience of wives we will be speaking to. In this season of my life, I have overcome many trials and tribulations while maintaining my business.

To say this year has been tumultuous is a great understatement; bankruptcy, moving, living with my mother-n-law, experiencing a fourth miscarriage and testing positive for Coronavirus, I’ll be glad to see the clock strike midnight on December 31st. We are blessed to have our one miracle child, but experiencing this kind of tragedy four times in a lifetime would be traumatizing for anyone. We have managed to maintain our sanity, marriage, careers, and businesses despite the challenges that have been thrown our way.

This year alone has taught me resilience, determination, focus and most importantly how to love and appreciate the people that love and appreciate you. My responsibilities as a wife, as a mother and as a full time entrepreneur no longer feel like neverending obligations but are now Godgiven opportunities for me to love life, seek wisdom and thrive while I become the woman God is called me to be”.
