Welcome to the Valley of the Sun! O

n behalf of the Arizona ENA State Council, I am thrilled to welcome you to the beautiful city of Phoenix. We feel honored to host ENA Leadership Conference 2014. The weather is warm and sunny — perfect for sightseeing in the sixth-largest city in the U.S. There is so much to see here, including the Heard Museum, which is the best Native American museum in the country, and the world’s largest collection of desert plants at the Desert Botanical Garden. Phoenix is famous for its luxurious spas and resorts, as well as for having more than 200 golf courses. Hiking and biking trails run throughout the Sonoran Desert. If indoor entertainment is more your style, there are plenty of venues for shopping, dining and dancing. For

those of you who have planned extra time in the Valley of the Sun, trips to the cooler mountain areas to see the breathtaking views of the Red Rocks in Sedona or the Grand Canyon are wonderful experiences. The Valley Metro light rail is the best way to get to downtown Phoenix to explore the endless variety of restaurants. Southwestern, Mexican, barbecue, Asian, Italian — Phoenix has it all, including the best pizza in America, according to Food & Wine magazine. Please stop by the state host ambassador table in the registration area. Arizona ENA members will be on hand to give you the inside scoop on how to make the most of your time in Phoenix. The warm weather and the warmth of our membership’s welcome are waiting for you at Leadership Conference 2014!
