The 2023 Lea County Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting of the Members is Friday, April 28. We look forward each year to hosting our annual meeting for you, the members we proudly serve. We hope you join us.

At our annual meeting, we raise issues for voting consideration by the general membership. The annual meeting is also a time for members to vote on the co-op’s board of directors. Local input means the community gets to elevate members who know its needs and priorities to help direct where co-op dollars are spent. In addition, LCEC invests in our system annually to help maintain reliability and grid resilience.

LCEC is not an ordinary utility. We’re a cooperative. Our business model serves the members and the communities in which we operate. Our core purpose and mission is to be innovative and environmentally friendly while providing our members high-value, lowcost, safe and reliable service. As a co-op, we’re motivated by service to our community rather than profits. We hope you use the benefits of your co-op membership and join us for the annual meeting on April 28.

Members can attend the meeting at any of LCEC’s three offices. At the Lovington, NM, office, the meeting uses drive-through registration, as we have in the past few years. Tatum, NM, and Plains, TX offices use in-lobby registration. Members will receive a registration gift at the time of registration.

The business portion of the meeting will be conducted on Facebook Live at 6 p.m. MDT. Whether you attend in person or online, we thank you in advance for getting involved. Your participation means so much to us.

During the Facebook Live annual meeting presentation, we will share a few brief business updates and announce the grand-prize winner. We look forward to seeing you!

The enchanted CEO
