Chama Valley Open: Sign Up By August 14

The deadline for golfers to register for the 23rd Chama Valley Open Golf Tournament at the Pagosa Springs Golf Course on August 26 is Monday, August 14, by the end of the business day. Registration forms are available at the NORA office. For $100, golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, a goodie bag, door prizes and lunch.

NORA is also looking for official sponsors for the tournament to help bear the cost of operational and promotional expenses. For $150, an individual poster will be created for your business to be displayed at the tee box and viewed by all players, coordinators and those attending the event.

All tournament proceeds from NORA’s Chama Valley Open annual golf tournament are used to fund the yearly golf scholarship offered to local service area high school seniors and an annual golf camp for middle and high school students.

Annual Meeting Venue Change— Meeting Now at Down Home Lodge and Family RV

Please note that this year’s Annual Meeting for NORA Electric Co-op will be changing venues from the Chama Community Center to the Down Home Lodge & Family RV, formerly known as El Meson Lodge. The Village of Chama Community Center is not available for rent this year.

The date and time will remain the same, September 25—the fourth Monday of the month. The meeting will be at 1 p.m., preceded by lunch at noon. NORA invites all members to attend for an informative afternoon with presentations by Board of Trustees President Steven Rendon, Executive Vice President and General Manager Anthony Mercure, and other distinguished guests followed by the highly revered door prize giveaway.
