In its 10th year, the free concert series Wednesdays@Noon is presented by the City of Encinitas to enrich the arts scene in Encinitas for residents, visitors, and cultural tourists from throughout the region. It has become the highest attended daytime series in the county with attendance of 160+ each week. The 50-minute concerts at the Encinitas Library feature outstanding musicians from throughout Southern California performing all styles of music. We hope to see you often! The list of prior performers includes the likes of jazz legend Peter Sprague, piano virtuosi Ines Irawati and Svetlana Smolina, as well as acclaimed groups such as the Peter Pupping Trio, MandoBasso, and Quartet Nouveau--to name just a few!

BORISEVICH DUO Nikita Borisevich, Violin Margarita Loukachkina, Piano

“Nikita and Margarita gave a magical and diverse performance with extraordinarily nuanced artistry, virtuoso fi reworks and ensemble collaboration.” The internationally acclaimed duo has won numerous international music competitions and collectively performed on world renowned stages such as the Kennedy Center, Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Shriver Hall, and Spain’s Manuel de Falla Auditorium. They will perform works by Tchaikovsky, Elgar, and Grieg.

ALEXANDER MILOVANOV, guitar CHRISTOPHER GOODPASTURE, piano

Alexander Milovanov performs internationally and throughout the U.S. He has won prizes in important contests such as the International Concert Artist Competition of the Guitar Foundation of America, Boston GuitarFest International Competition, and Vienna International Music Competition. His program includes works by Bach, Villa-Lobos, and Albéniz. Noted for his “rhetorical grandeur, romantic warmth, and surefi re technique” by the Dallas Morning News, pianist Christopher Goodpasture has a growing reputation as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral soloist. He is the winner of Astral Artists 2019 National Auditions and holds degrees from USC, Yale School of Music, and The Juilliard School. He will perform works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, and Albéniz.

TANDRU TRIO YASMINA SPIEGELBERG, clarinet JAVIER IGLESIAS-MARTIN, cello KATELYN VAHALA, piano

The trio plays with great energy and charisma, performs extensively throughout Southern California, and was featured at the Harmos Festival in Portugal. Based in Los Angeles, they met at the USC Thornton School of Music. The trio’s mission is to share their love of chamber music, performing repertoire both ancient and modern. They will perform works by Brahms, Beethoven, and Fauré.
