Whether it be in an office, a restaurant, your home, or you’ve retired, this musical reminds us to celebrate not only what we do, but how we do it. JEWL CARNEY* (Ensemble 2) was born and raised in Hawaii. She left at the age of 16 to join the second National Tour of Miss Saigon as Kim. From there, she went on to play the role of Nala in The Lion King at The Pantages Theater in Los Angeles. After getting into the musical scene as a session/ demo singer, solo artist & song writer, she took time out to become mom to two little Carneys kids. "Michael, Shine and Free my life is more beautiful, blessed, full and completely chaotic with you in it. Here we go.”

COURTENAY COLLINS* (Ensemble 3) is thrilled to be returning to the Alliance after celebrating the holidays on The Hertz Stage in the comfort of her own faux living room with all of her best friends in her show Courtenay's Cabaret. The Prom (Broadway); The Prom, Cinderella and Fella, The Geller Girls, Jacques Brel…, Into the Woods, Smart Cookie, Managing Maxine (Alliance); Calendar Girls, Hello Dolly!, Comedy of Tenors (GET); Catch Me if You Can, Evita, (Atlanta Lyric); Eating Raoul (Off Broadway); Ken Hill’s The Phantom of the Opera (National Tour); Beauty and the Beast (Toronto). ROB LAWHON* (Ensemble 6) is beyond delighted to be back at the Alliance Theatre! Other Alliance credits

include The Wizard of Oz, Pancakes, Pancakes!, Charlotte’s Web, Songs to Grow On, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, and Troubadour. He can be seen in locally-filmed TV shows like Sleepy Hollow, The Resident, and Star. “Special thanks to Rosemary Newcott, the brothers DePoy, my family, and to my son Gibson, who I love more than anything else in the whole wide world.”

TAWANA MONTGOMERY* (Ensemble 1) is originally from New York where she performed in several arenas such as the 23rd Street Playhouse, the Olympic Theatre and Waldorf Astoria, just to name a few. She graduated from New York University. After moving to Atlanta, she has worked on productions such as Black Nativity, Spunk, and Baptism By Fire. Tawana is thrilled to have this opportunity, and looks forward to working with the Alliance Theatre on this production of Working!

BRAD RAYMOND* (Ensemble 5) is so excited to be returning to the Alliance Theatre after his 10th production of A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play! Brad has performed as an actor, singer or conductor at some of the art world’s most esteemed institutions including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Light Opera Works of Chicago, the Ravinia Festival, Arena Stage, The Broad Stage, The Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Opera, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre, Theater Emory, Horizon Theatre and Spivey Hall. Some of Brad’s favorite roles include: Homer in Lilies of the Field, Fetch in Fetch, Clay Make Man, Ronald in Born For This and the Suzi Bass Award winning performance as Blue in

EDDY RIOSECO* (Ensemble 4) was most recently seen onstage at the Pasadena Playhouse in God Looked Away opposite Al Pacino and Judith Light. He is a Cuban American native of Miami, Florida where he attended New World School of the Arts High School. Upon graduating, he received a full scholarship for acting to the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University. In New York City, he quickly began his career with leading roles in Wicked, Mamma Mia, and Fame. He landed his first job in television as Mae Whitman’s boyfriend, Damien, in NBC’s Parenthood. Eddy also starred in the pilot Hacienda Heights as Jesse Garcia. His most recent film credits include leads in Chasity Bites, As You Like It, and The Dark Place. He sang in the 85th Annual Academy Awards with the cast of Les Miserables and was one of five actors chosen to perform in ABC’s Diversity Showcase. He continues to pursue tv, film and theater in his new hometown, Atlanta.

MARCELLO AUDINO (Understudy Ensemble 4) is so grateful to be back on stage at the Alliance! You may have previously seen him as La Tortuga in La Tortuga and The Hare. More recent credits around Atlanta including Newsies, On Your Feet!, and Men with Money at Aurora Theatre. Marcello also regularly appears in commercials, television shows, and voice overs and is

proudly represented by People Store here in Atlanta. All of the love & gratitude to the Alliance for this opportunity and to my family and friends who support me. Welcome back to the theatre, it's a pleasure to have you back in the audience!

JAYMYRIA ETIENNE; She/Her (Understudy Ensemble 1) is so thankful to be performing again with a phenomenal cast. DANIELA SANTIAGO (Understudy Ensemble 2) is an emerging theatre artist, native to Atlanta, Georgia. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting with the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, she performed on an international tour with the Missoula Children's Theatre and now dedicates her time on her passions of representation in the arts and accessible arts education. Her most notable credits include Fan in A Christmas Carol (Alliance Theatre), Sherwood in Robin Hood (Missoula Children’s Theatre), William Dunn in Men on Boats, Tess in Crazy for You (Gainesville Theatre Alliance). @ daniela_santiago

HEATHER STATHAM (Understudy Ensemble 3) is thrilled to be making her Alliance Theatre debut! A Georgia native, she is a true multi-passionate – singer, actor, dancer, sorority house mom, bartender, educator, Christmas decorator, entrepreneur, and Vocal Coach. She is the front woman for ThunderGypsy, the 2017 Atlanta Blues Challenge winner and 2018 International Blues Challenge participant and was also featured as a vocalist in the 2020 and 2021 Women of Blues Showcase.

GARY “STELLO” CLARK, II (Assistant Music Director/Conductor/ Keyboard) simply describes himself as a musician and doesn't quite worry about the details of what that means. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and everything in between. From a young age he has had a passion for music and he hasn't lost that enthusiasm yet! In 2012, Stello formed the band Gold Shades with two friends from college. With the band, he’s performed all over the US and aspires to play all over the world. They also serve as a writing and production team, collectively playing almost 20 instruments and counting. Stello also has many solo endeavors including performing with and writing/producing for countless other artists. He does not like to limit himself to one genre or be defined by one skill. He believes the only way to live to his fullest capacity is to use everything he's got until the well runs dry!

JEN HODGES (Bass) is a bassist, composer, and producer living in Atlanta, GA. She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with 15 years of professional experience. She has worked with Fear, Agent Orange, All Time Low, All Shall Perish, killwhitneydead, Cryptopsy, Slightly Stoopid, Jellyroll, Brent Hinds, among many others. She composes under the name Spurge and just released her 5th record. She has also been producing youth artists for an organization called Notes For Notes for 9 years.

TAMILLA WOODARD (Director) is the co-Artistic Director of Working Theater, former BOLD Associate Artistic Director at WP Theater, and the co-founder of PopUP Theatrics. She also served as

the associate director of Hadestown on Broadway. This very digital season, her work includes American Dreams by Leila Buck for Working Theater, Theater for One’s Here We Are series with plays by Nikole Salter and Delanna Studdi, PopUP Theatrics Long Distance Affair, Parsnip Ship and MCC’s This Is Where We Go and the Lucille Lortel nominated, Where We Stand by Donnetta Lavinia Grays for WP Theater, Baltimore Center Stage and Steppenwolf. Recently named one of 50 Women to Watch on Broadway, Tamilla is a graduate of Yale School of Drama, where she currently teaches. She is also a recipient of the Josephine Abady Award from the League of Professional Theatre Women.

ALEXIS WOODARD (Associate Director) is an Atlanta-based Director, proud Spelman College Alumna and current Spelman Leadership Fellow at the Alliance Theatre. Her Directing Credits include: Romeo + Juliet, Eurydice (Spelman College), Finished What We Started (Morehouse College), Hamlet (The Tiny Theatre Company), as well as assistant directing for the Suzi Award winning play, Hands of Color (Synchronicity Theatre), A Kids Play About Racism (Bay Area Children’s Theatre), and Associate Director for A Christmas Carol: The Live Radio Play (Alliance Theatre). Upcoming Credits include: Co- Director for Hands Up (Alliance Theatre), and Co-Director for Othello (The Tiny Theatre Company). She has also worked backstage on several productions such as Holler If You Hear Me (True Colors Theatre) and Hospice + Pointing At The Moon (Alliance Theatre). Film Credits include: Hands Up Teasers (Co- Director) and When Morning Comes (Writer). She also wrote and shot her first short film, When Morning Comes, which discusses sexual assault on college campuses.

JODY FELDMAN (Casting Director) began her theater career as an actress in Atlanta before moving into administration as the Assistant General Manager at Frank Wittow’s Academy Theatre. Feldman started her career at the Alliance as Casting Director in 1991, and added Producer to her title and responsibilities in 2001. She has cast and produced more than 200 productions at the Alliance, encompassing a range of world premieres that includes The Last Night of Ballyhoo by Alfred Uhry, What I Learned in Paris by Pearl Cleage, Broke and Troubadour by Janece Shaffer, In the Red and Brown Water by Tarell Alvin McCraney and more than 10 years of Alliance/ Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition-winning plays plus such world and regional premiere musicals as Tuck Everlasting; Aida; The Color Purple; Sister Act: The Musical; Bring It On: The Musical; Ghost Brothers of Darkland County; Harmony, A New Musical and The Prom. Jody is most proud of the thriving Alliance engagement activities and partnerships that recognize theatrical work as a catalyst for community conversation and connection.

BRANDON BUSH (Music Director) has performed on GRAMMY® Award nominated and winning releases by John Mayer, Sugarland and Shawn Mullins. As a member of the rock band Train, Brandon toured the world indulging in his life long fantasy of performing a keyboard solo on a smoke emitting Moog synthesizer. Theater work includes Composing and Sound Design for Approval Junkie (Alliance) and Music Direction credits for Shakespeare In Love (Alliance) and the world premiere musical Troubadour (Alliance). Currently, Bush is touring as the music director for his brother Kristian Bush. He also manages the

Atlanta based creative studio, Songs of the Architect where he composes for visual media.

KAT CONLEY (Scenic Designer) is ecstatic to return to the Alliance. She has designed more than 30 Alliance productions, including Courtenay’s Cabaret, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Wizard of OZ. Kat has designed scenery for Arena Stage, Orlando Shakespeare, the Kennedy Center, Georgia Shakespeare, Marin Theatre Company, Actor’s Express, The Atlanta Ballet, The Center for Puppetry Arts, 7 Stages, Theatrical Outfit, Synchronicity Theatre, Theatre in the Square, and Aurora Theatre. She continues to be the Charge Scenic Artist for the Alliance Theatre. CLAY BENNING (Sound Design) Resident Sound Designer for the Alliance Theatre and has designed more than 150 productions in his career, with over 100 for the Alliance. Recent works include Candide, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, Small Mouth Sounds, and Max Makes A Million. Other design work has included Georgia Shakespeare, Atlanta Ballet, Cincinnati Playhouse, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Theatrical Outfit, Geva Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre, and the Georgia Aquarium. Awards: Seven Suzi Bass awards for outstanding sound design with 16 nominations. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College (BA), North Carolina School of the Arts (MFA) and a member of IATSE/USA829 and TSDCA.

STEPHEN SCHWARTZ (Book, Music, and Lyrics) wrote the music and lyrics for the current Broadway hit Wicked, and has also contributed music and/or lyrics to Godspell, Pippin, The Magic Show, The Baker's Wife, Working (which he also adapted and directed), Rags, and Children of Eden. He collaborated with Leonard Bernstein on the English texts for Bernstein’s Mass and wrote the title song for the play and movie Butterflies Are Free. For children, he has written songs for two musicals, Captain Louie and My Son Pinocchio. He has also worked in film, collaborating with Alan Menken on the songs for Disney’s Enchanted as well as the animated features Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and writing the songs for the DreamWorks animated feature The Prince of Egypt. His first opera, Seance on a Wet Afternoon, was produced at Opera Santa Barbara and New York City Opera. A book about his career, “Defying Gravity,” has been released by Applause Books. Mr. Schwartz has been inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and has been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . Awards include three Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and a tiny handful of tennis trophies.

NINA FASO (Book) made her directorial debut with Peter Ustinov's The Unknown Soldier and His Wife. Following a stint with the improvisational comedy group: The Committee, she became one of the creators of Godspell and directed most major productions of the show in America and Europe. She then took The Rocky Horror Show from Los Angeles to Broadway. She co-adapted and co-directed the musical, Working based on Studs Terkel's book, for the Goodman Theater in Chicago and for Broadway. She co-wrote the teleplay

for Working for the PBS series American Playhouse. She is the author and director of the children's television special, The Fable Company, and the co-producer and co-director of a short film called Sing For Your Life. Among her other directing credits are the musicals Just Once and Is It Just Me, Or Is It Hot In Here?, which enjoyed long runs in New York and Los Angeles, respectively.

GORDON GREENBERG (Additional Contributions) revised and directed Working for The Old Globe, Broadway in Chicago, Asolo Rep, and 59 E 59. CRAIG CARNELIA (Music and Lyrics) wrote the score for the Broadway musical, Is There Life After High School? and the Off-Broadway musical, Three Postcards, (at Playwrights Horizons). Also Off- Broadway, he has had a collection of his songs entitled Notes presented at the Manhattan Theatre Club and contributed single songs to The No Frills Revue, Diamonds, and A...My Name Is Still Alice. Honors include a Tony nomination for Working, a "Best Plays" citation for Three Postcards, the 1996 Johnny Mercer Award, and the prestigious Kleban Award for distinguished lyric writing.

MICKI GRANT (Music and Lyrics) An extensive period of collaboration with director Vinnette Carroll at the Urban Arts Corps Theatre resulted in nine musical productions, the most successful of which were the Broadway musicals Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, in which Grant also starred, and Your Arms Are Too Short To Box With God. The multi-award winning & Cope garnered the Grammy Award for its cast show album and five Tony nominations, including best musical among others. Her musical based on the life of George Washington Carver, Don't Underestimate A Nut, premiered at Omaha s Theatre for Young People in 1994, and for Jacques Brel Blues (with Andre Ernotte and Elliot Tiber) she supplied the English lyrics for twenty of Brels Songs. She was composer/lyricist for J.E. Franklin's Prodigal Sister, contributed to four musical revues based on the oral histories of hospital workers, contributed additional lyrics to

Broadway's Eubie and has written songs for educational TV's Infinity Factory. She enjoys writing special material for club singers, and one of her several commercial jingles has won her a two off-Award. Grant's body of work has been celebrated in two Off-Broadway musical retrospectives. Multi-talented, Ms. Grant has performed on and off Broadway and in theatres around the country. For the national tour of Having Our Say, she won the Helen Hayes Award for her portrayal of Sadie Delany. Some of her numerous other awards include the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, NAACP Image and OBIE. A practicing, published poet, she loves her job!

LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA (Music and Lyrics) is an award-winning composer, lyricist, and performer, as well as a 2015 MacArthur Foundation Award recipient. His most recent musical, Hamilton — with book, music and lyrics by Mr. Miranda, in addition to him playing the title role — opened on Broadway in 2015. Hamilton was awarded the 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Drama and received a record-breaking 16 Tony nominations — winning 11 Tonys including Best Musical and Best Book and Best Score for Mr. Miranda. The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hamilton won the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Both Mr. Miranda and Hamilton won the 2016 Drama League Awards for Distinguished Performance and Outstanding Production of a Musical, respectively. For its Off-Broadway sold-out run at the Public Theater, Hamilton received a record-breaking 10 Lortel Awards, as well as 3 Outer Critic Circle Awards, 8 Drama Desk Awards, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best New Musical, and an OBIE for Best New American Play. Drama Inspired by American History. Material from the show was previewed at the White House during its first-ever Evening of Poetry & Spoken Word in 2009, in Lincoln Center Theater’s 2012 American Songbook Series and at New York Stage and Film’s 2013 Powerhouse Theatre Season at Vassar College. Mr. Miranda’s first Broadway musical, In the Heights, received four 2008 Tony Awards (including Best Orchestrations, Best Choreography and Best Musical), with Miranda receiving a Tony Award for Best Score, as well as a nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. Off-Broadway, In the Heights received 9 Drama Desk Nominations (including Best Music, Best Lyrics) and an award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. MARY RODGERS' (Music) credits as a composer began with the B'way production of Once Upon a Mattress in 1959 and continued with Hot Spot, The Mad Show, Working, The Griffin and the Minor Canon, and scores for the Bil Baird Marionettes and Theatreworks/USA. Her musicals have also been celebrated in a revue, Hey, Love. She is a popular author of fiction for young people, most notably the 1972 novel Freaky Friday, which was made into a Disney Studios motion picture (with a screenplay by Rodgers), a Theatre Works/USA musical (composed by Rodgers) and an ABC TV remake. Mary Rodgers is Chairman of the Board of the Juilliard School, on the Board of ASCAP, and on the Council of the Dramatists Guild.

SUSAN BIRKENHEAD (Lyrics) received a Tony Nomination, a Grammy nomination, and a Drama Desk Award for her lyrics for Jelly's Last Jam. She was nominated for a Drama Desk for Triumph of Love. She was one of the writers nominated for a Tony award for Working, and won an Outer Critics Circle award for What about Luv? She wrote additional lyrics for High Society, with a book by Arthur Kopit and a score by Cole Porter. She wrote lyrics for Pieces of Eight with Jule Styne and Michael Stewart, Fanny Hackabout Jones with Erica Jong and Lucy Simon, and was one of the contributors to A...My Name is Alice. She wrote The Night They Raided Minsky's with Charles Strouse and Evan Hunter, and has just finished Moonstruck, with John Patrick Shanley and Henry Krieger. She and Mr. Krieger are also currently at work on two new projects. Ms. Birkenhead is a member of the Dramatists Guild Council, Treasurer of the Dramatists Guild Fund, and a member of the Musical Theater Council of the

Manhattan Theater Club.

JAMES TAYLOR's (Music and Lyrics) music embodies the art of songwriting in its most personal and universal forms. SUSAN V. BOOTH (Jennings Hertz Artistic Director) joined the Alliance Theatre in 2001 and has initiated the Palefsky Collision Project for teens, the Alliance/ Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition, the Reiser Atlanta Artists Lab and commercial partnerships on such projects as The Prom; Tuck Everlasting; Ghost Brothers of Darkland County; The Color Purple; Bring It On: The Musical; Twyla Tharp’s Come Fly Away; Sister Act: The Musical; Bring in ’da Noise, Bring

She holds degrees from Denison and Northwestern universities and was a fellow of the National Critics Institute and the Kemper Foundation. She has held teaching positions at Northwestern, DePaul and Emory universities and is a past President of the board of directors for the Theatre Communications Group, the national service organization for the field. Booth’s leadership is underwritten by the BOLD Theater Women’s Leadership Circle, an initiative to support and promote women’s theater leadership funded by The Helen Gurley Brown Foundation. She is married to Max Leventhal and is the proud mother of Moira Rose Leventhal.

MIKE SCHLEIFER (Managing Director) joined the Alliance Theatre in 2014 as General Manager, and in 2016 became Managing Director. While at the Alliance, Schleifer has led the administrative team on more than 50 productions and was one of the architects of the “On the Road” season, in which the Alliance produced 12 shows at 12 venues. He is proud to have started the Alliance’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and to serve on the League of Resident Theatre’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. Previously, he spent 13 years at Baltimore’s Center Stage, working as Associate Producer, Production Manager and Resident Stage Manager. While in Baltimore, he spent seven years as an adjunct faculty member at Towson University and guest lectured all over the East Coast. Schleifer began his career as a Stage Manager and has dozens of stagemanagement credits in New York and

regionally. He is married to theater director and educator Laura Hackman and is the proud father of two boys, Jack and Ben.
