Featuring original songs and a stunning design, Pancakes, Pancakes! explores the process of cooking and celebrates the joy of labor and satisfaction in the final feast.
SIFLY PIAZZA Tiovivo: Whimsical Sculptures by Jaime Hayon | Through Nov. 27 Designer Jaime Hayon created this work as the third in a series of large-scale, interactive installations on the Sifly Piazza. The colorful, patterned sculptures feature slides that are just the right size for children.

Tickets are available 1 hour before each performance at the Memorial Arts Building registration table on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be seated 5 minutes before show time or your seats will be released. A waitlist will be available 30 minutes before each show at the Hertz Stage entrance on the piazza. Pancakes, Pancakes! acting obstacle course Now can we make a pancake? Inspired by the Alliance Theatre’sn Pancakes, Pancakes!, this actingbased obstacle course will have you jumping, dancing and sizzling on a frying pan. 1–4 P.M. | SIFLY PIAZZA Very Hungry Caterpillar costume-making Create your own costume inspired by Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar. GREENE FAMILY EDUCATION CENTER, LECTURE ROOM I See a Story: The Art of Eric Carle Scavenger Hunt Pick up a scavenger hunt list at the exhibition and explore the Carle’s world at your own pace. WIELAND PAVILION, LOWER LEVEL Flowerpot Workshop inspired by Eric Carle’s The Tiny Seed We follow a small seed as it journeys around the world and grows into a beautiful flower. Using Carle’s technique of layering tissue paper, you’ll decorate a pot and plant your own tiny seed outside. STENT FAMILY WING, LOWER LEVEL, GREENE FAMILY EDUCATION CENTER Collaborative installation inspired by The Rise of Sneaker Culture Work with artist Lucha Rodriguez to create a colorful installation inspired by High Museum’s The Rise of Sneaker Culture. SIFLY PIAZZA The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Stories Five of Eric Carle’s most popular stories bring the wonders of the world around young children into focus. Gentle, colorful music enhances the jewellike animation and delights the senses. (Run time: about 32 minutes) HILL AUDITORIUM
Breakdancing by Rockwell Dance Academy (all ages) Rockwell Dance Academy teaches and preserves the original styles of hip-hop dance with an emphasis on foundation and technique. Toddler Tour (Best for 15 months–3 years) This workshop is a physically interactive experience for toddlers to engage with art. Building on budding imaginations, we’ll use dance- and drama-based strategies to interpret works of art and learn about museums. 1:15 AND 2 P.M., STENT FAMILY WING, GREENE FAMILY LEARNING GALLERY
* Space is limited. To participate, speak with the house manager no earlier than 30 minutes before each performance. Parents and tots drama workshops (ages 0–5 years) Journey through imaginary settings with your child in this multisensory creative play workshop for toddlers. These 30-minute classes are designed with your child’s developmental milestones in mind, encouraging a lifelong love of the arts. 1, 1:45, 2:30 AND 3:15 P.M. | STUDIO 1 Baby Steps (15 months and younger in a front carrier or stroller with caregiver) The earliest encounters with art are about interacting with the visual world and encouraging babies to respond to their environment.
