FAMILY-FRIENDLY CONCERTS, PRODUCTIONS & EXHIBITIONS Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
ATLANTA SYMPHONY HALL Music for the Very Young: Meet Our Families December 3 – 4 This season, Music for the Very Young offers a series called Meet Our Families: An Introducation to the Instruments of the Orchestra. This series of performances will take you and your family on a journey to discover and learn all about members of the Woodwind, Brass, String and Percussion families throughout the season in four programs — each highlighting a specific family of instruments. Then, at the end of the season, these same musicians will join forces to offer performances together as an ensemble ... or as we like to think of it, one big family. Christmas With the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra December 9 – 10 Started many years ago by the beloved Music Director Robert Shaw, this concert has become a staple for Atlanta families during the holiday season. No one can resist everyone’s favorite Christmas carols and hymns sung by the ASO Chorus and special guests, the Gwinnett Young Singers. And you’ll thrill when the Morehouse College Glee Club sings their holiday signature piece, Betelehemu. A Very Merry Holiday POPS! December 16 – 17 Every year, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra makes this annual holiday extravaganza bigger and better — what will happen this season? Get your tickets to this amazingly delightful program, complete with a full orchestra, chorus, guest vocalists and, if you’re very nice, a visit from Santa and his reindeer. There’s something for the entire family. These concerts sell out early so get your seats now!
