GPB KIDS GIVE THANKS WITH CRAFTS
This Thanksgiving, you can encourage your kids to think about how much they have to be thankful for and teach them the value of gratitude with the Thanful Tree craft.
Materials • Orange, green, red, yellow colored paper • Pencil or crayons • 2-3 bare tree branches • Scissors • Glue Gun • Tall Vase
Directions 1. Using a pencil or crayons, draw 25 leaf shapes onto your colored paper. 2. Cut around the drawn leaf shapes on the paper. 3. Talk with your kids about what they’re thankful for. Write down the different things you are thankful for on the leaves. Younger children can also draw a picture of what they are thank- ful for on their leaf. You can also draw lines on some of your paper leaves to make them look realistic. 4. Add glue to the bottom edge of each leaf. Attach to the branches at the top to make a tree. Once your tree is complete, display it on your Thanksgiving table so you can be reminded of all the things your family is grateful for this holiday season.
